Manic Miner would be a meh song if it was just the notes on the keyboard being played on a regular piano but it is also on such old hardware that it kills the ears to listen to. This Is Where You Are Caucasian sounds like listening to English after getting the language center of your brain obliterated by a laser accident in the science lab.

project sekai losing has me very shocked considering how popular it is. and still a british dev from the 80s clears. i have seen polls where one side just sweeps simply because it's popular. but this is not the case here. i don't believe in recency bias anymore. my whole worldview is shaken. i learned a lesson from this tournament that i cannot put a name to yet

if we may nominate one more honorable mention for the road: we HAVE to mention Stroll Music from Doshin the Giant. it plays randomly in gameplay, and also the end credits. we are not convinced it was composed, we think it was spawned.

some propoaganda: this is where you are destination caucasian boy at least had good fundamentals, and a decent instrumental. it just has utterly awful lyrics.

the beverly hills cop theme is completely dogshit. it is genuinely, physically, overwhelmingly painful to listen to. to improve it would to be to... simply listen to the original song, the version they didn't make for the video game. there's no real salvaging that one, you simply go back to the drawing board and make a new cover of the song.
