My ATLA Headcannon is that Ozai had Iroh’s son assassinated in Ba Sing Se, but that the idea came from Azula.
We see in Zuko’s flashback in “Zuko Alone” that Azula is already manipulative, vicious, jealous, and deceptive. Azula was already talking to their mom about Ozai supplanting Iroh and Iroh “not making it back from war”. At that point Zuko asks how Azula would feel if Iroh’s son Lu Ten wanted their dad dead. I feel like this set the wheels turning for Azula, and she, always scheming and always trying to be first in the eyes of her father, goes to Ozai and either recommends having Iroh killed or formulates the plan to assassinate Lu Ten taking both Iroh and his heir off the board. Ozai would only be too proud of that kind of thinking and assist in any way possible.
I understand that this is never explicitly stated in the show, but we do see that Azula is being groomed into a vicious adversary by King Ozai and that she is not sad about the death of their cousin, jokes about Ozai killing Zuko, and ridicules Uncle Iroh about being sad over the death of his son and giving up on the Siege of Ba Sing Se. Personally it doesn’t feel like a stretch at all. She probably sees it as just in pursuit of the most important thing, power.

To The Endlessness of Us
And one day it will be our time
Weary legs and winding roads finally meeting
Finally drifting to a soft place
Solid ground
A place for us to make our own
To make our forever
To begin that great infinite knowing
And you will rest your feet
And I will rest my head
And we will crawl to each other if needs must
Eyes grasping eyes
Hands grasping hands
A frenzied chaos of yearning finally drawing to its source
Bodies twisted around bodies
Galaxies twisted up in galaxies
Collapsing, crashing, lost in a sea of stars
And the heavens will be torn open
And the sky will bleed her light
And the last breath of loneliness will be broken
And the world will be rebuilt
No longer yours
No longer mine
Ours, forever ours
So lay me down so gently
Fall into me like the softness of rain
Soak me in your tender sweetness
And where we touch flowers will grow
Sweet intoxicating glory
And the night creatures will sing of us to the stars above
To the endlessness of us.

Look D&D preschool would be an absolute nightmare, and I’m here for that. One barbarian child is in the corner in a reckless rage, one bard child is casting vicious mockery at another for stealing their crayons, the sorcerer is creating bonfires just for the heck of it, the druid has just summoned their third infestation of the day, the rogue is stealing cookies with their mage hand, and the wizard has just gone invisible.
Credit below to the post that made me think about this!

Cara Dune was such a fantastic character. Feminine and strong. Heroic and flawed. She had so much chemistry with Djinn, whether they chose the keep it platonic or let it be romantic. I miss her dearly.
I just rewatched the Mandalorian and let me tell you, I miss Cara Dune so much... She was such a cool and unique character, not a typical female on TV and I absolutely loved that.

I’m not sure who needs to hear this, but if Lion King 1 is just Hamlet with lions then Lion King 2 is just Romeo & Juliet with lions. I don’t make the rules.

I’ve come up with the answer to what’s wrong with my generations romantic expectations and I can sum it all up with Star Wars.
The Original Trilogy’s Jedi Boyfriend: Luke Skywalker the man who saw the good in a mostly evil person and fought tooth and nail to redeem that goodness. The man who chose to put down his weapon in the presence of his greatest enemies because peace was the only option he could accept. The man who loved and trusted his friends and learned selfless un-possessive love.
The Prequel’s Jedi Boyfriend: Anakin Skywalker the man who had everything and lost it. The man who was meant to be the hero who saved the galaxy but gave in to jealousy, rage, and greed. The man who could not walk away from an insult or a fight. The man who could not set aside ambition for the people he loved. The man who could not love selflessly. The man who sided with a liar and murderer and turned against everything he believed in because he thought he was strong enough to overcome the power of darkness even while giving himself over to it.
**I know that this is simplifying things a little, but I’m still so salty that they made us fall in love with Anakin and then forced us to watch him fall so far.

Unpopular opinion: Underwater (2020) is just The Meg with less humor and worse lighting.

I’m playing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and I accidentally hit the key to talk to BD-1 instead of the key to grab and climb the wall and thus had the joy of listening to Cal Kestis say “Things are going pretty well, aren’t they BD” as he plummeted off a cliff to his death.

I would just like to put out into the universe and the powers that be that if they’re planning on adding Kyle Katarn to any of the current or future Star Wars projects Dylan O’Brien would be an excellent Kyle Katarn. I repeat Dylan O’Brien would be an EXCELLENT Kyle Katarn.
Let’s make this happen people!

Me, reading: Oh cool an exposition dump.
Me, writing: I have to know the exact process of making worsted and the timeframe in which it’s manufacturing was mechanized to write one sentence about it in my historical mystery novel or else the realism will be shattered and I will die.

A Final Thought For Atlas
By: Ceciley Noel
I guess it wasn’t meant to be
We were always worlds apart
You’ll never hold me in your arms
I only hold you in my heart
But hearts they do grow heavy
It’s sad yet still it’s true
There’s only so much of me
There’s always more to you
And so I simply follow
To the edges of it all
I could not let you falter
I would never let you fall
But that’s the thing about catching
A star that burns so bright
It consumes all that it touches
To produce its greatest light
It needs a gentle nudge
To urge it when it’s small
To fan it when it falters
To carry it through the fall
To shelter it from sorrow
To lift it proud and tall
To hold it ever higher
Where it can shine for all
So I stand at the edge of the world
My hands all bathed in flame
A star’s light is far too precious
To ever snuff out or to tame
You’re growing brighter now
Soon all the world will see
The vital brilliance of you
That was always clear to me
But it’s growing harder now
To manage all this weight
Too lift you ever higher
When I know this is our fate
Still I shoulder all the burden
Still I lift for all I’m worth
I’m the lucky one, remember
To catch a star that fell to earth
And as the weight grows far too heavy
I spare a thought before I die
I wonder to myself
Did Atlas also love the sky?

I feel remiss if I don’t make a slight edit/addition to this and include Harry Potter. Harry definitely fits this category too.
Alright fandoms I’m recommending a new game: You provide a quote, specific situation, or character description and we decide whether it comes from Kaz Brekker, Anthony Lockwood, Ronan Lynch, Richard Gansey, Damian Wayne, young Bruce Wayne, Percy Jackson, or Five Hargreeves because, while I’m not entirely sure what category of character they are, I think it is my favorite character category.
