The story takes place in a dark rainy forest near a lake. I wasnt expecting much of anything to happen, even though I might should be when I am in a place like this. I noticed abandoned ruins around, I wonder if this was used as a shelter for soldiers in the past or something more deeper like peasant's hideaway. As I walked deeper into the forest the sun was setting down, my heart started to race and my steps sped up. I was heading home when in the moment I felt restless about the atmosphere.. I ran towards a near cathedral which I spotted. It looked untouched and so beautiful. My feet were leading inside, the sight of it just from the outside felt unreal. I wondered how does it look from the inside so I opened the door and it was dark but felt cozy. For a moment I forgot I was just being chased.. „You're such a strange girl." A man's strong voice could be heard throughout the cathedral like an echo in my ears. I looked around searching for the man breathlessly, scared and desperate to get out. „Now we dont want you to fear me." He lurked from the shadows.. His black long wavy hair was the first thing I noticed, then obviously his well built body. He was in a dark green and golden leathered armour suitable just for his body type. He approached me almost like body to body close. „I am Loki. And who might you be, gorgeous?" My breath got caught in the back of my throat.. GORGEOUS?? I was shaken up, wanting to answer but the other part of me was afraid and unable to let out any noise. „Hm, not much of a talker are you?" He asked with almost a whisper.

I couldn't believe it, Loki? the God of mischief so gentle and welcoming? „Now, I know you're probably aware of new Asgard being on Earth. And you might question why I am here perhaps." Honestly, yes I wonder why he was here and not anywhere with his brother Thor. He went silent for a minute but continued a little after „I found this cathedral, I liked the atmosphere of it, in fact.. I favoured this entire forest. So I took control over it and now" He reached his hand to my chin and approached closer. „You're under my control. Almost just as a puppet." I.. had no words. Did I really just became something to toy with?- „I feel like I know you. I seen you somewhere I swear." All I could've express was confusion. I swear I never met him before face to face, what was he talking about???

The next day Odin decided to let Loki and Thor prove who's worthy of the throne. Thor didn't know how to prove to his father he's worthy of a throne, Loki on the other hand had a mischievous smirk on his face. „Brother, whatever you're planning it shouldn't be anything harmful." Thor warned Loki.

Later on I was looking around the castle for Loki, wanting to know what was he planning, but couldn't find him anywhere. In the library where he was usually found, he was not there. Neither or his chambers, hallways or the main room.

Days passed by and Odin had fell into his Odinsleep, but he still could see his sons. They weren't really aware of it though. I saw Loki around the castle but he was still not talking to me, however when I arrived at the bifrost I noticed Heimdall frozen and Loki holding the casket of ancient winters. He turned to me and smirked „Surprised little warrior?" I couldn't tell what he was planning, but it was certainly nothing good. „What are you going to do, stand there and stare at me?" he asked annoyingly.. „Why did you-" „Shh, your words tire me." as he interrupted me, I couldn't think of anything else but the casket he was holding in his hands. „You know, I've been a little more curious about this little thing what all it can do. So.. how about.." he used it on me, however I didn't turn into a frozen statue as Heimdall but instead felt quick cold shiver coming down my spine. „Why would you do that..-" Loki just smirked, a little upset that it didn't affect me much but also relieved it didn't cause me too much pain as he had soft spot for me.

Thor then rushed in „LOKI! You can't destroy whole Jotunheim!" „Why not?" Loki laughed and I watched from the distance, the tension of the God's dispute was rising dangerously. The bifrost was slowly being ripped apart and that put me in danger. They fought each other, not paying attention, but just in that moment fortunately Odin stepped in on time. Loki was sent to the dungeon, Heimdall unfrozen and the bifrost fixed.

After all that happened, I couldn't get my mind off that casket that Loki used on me as on a laboratory mouse. Now in the main room where I spent most of my time relaxing I suddenly felt pang in my chest, not sure why but it definitely wasnt good. „Hey y/n you alright there? I asked, frowning waiting for a reasonable answer. „What do you mean, I didn't do anything" when he said that, he might've thought about the reason behind my discomfort. „Oh? did the casket had an actual affect on you?" he said mockingly. However I wasn't in the mood to joke around. I let him out of the cell and dragged him out. „You'll find out how to fix this, as fast as possible." Loki was taken back by your grasp but didn't seem to mind it.

As he was realesed from the dungeon, later on he was searching for how to help, but not any book seemed to have an answer. In the library I approach looking even worse than earlier, he put down the book quickly and rushed over „Hey- sit down.." he didn't know why he was so worried, but that didn't really matter to him now, as he sat me down. „Im freezing cold. I just can't warm up no matter what I try." he felt guilty for causing this, but a little bit of satisfaction was also there in his expression, that I seeked attention and help from him. „The books aren't helpful at all so we might need to find out ourselves." he put his green cloak over my shoulders to warm me up, but it didn't seem to help a bit. „What do you think you need? Hot bath?sleep? medicine? what is it?" he asked desperately, but honestly I didn't know myself. „I tried everything possible and I can't last another day, I just need cure." as he heard me say that he felt more guilty, knowing damn well he's been a fool. „Im really sorry I cant help you and I didn't mean to cause you this much suffering."

Once again Loki gone through every book about Jotuns, but seem to find nothing. He couldn't stand the sight of my suffering, when it hit him. „I must ask Laufey in person." he was about to leave the room but I shout out „wait!" he turned back waiting for what I've got to say but I've changed my mind and said something way different. „be careful." he nodded and left to Jotunheim.

In Jotunheim

As he arrived looking for Laufey, he stopped. Why did he care so much? y/n is just another one of Thor's friends that happens to understand him. „Loki.. what are you looking for in here." Laufey interrupted his thoughts. He looked up at him, driving off his thoughts. „Laufey. You were hurt and seeked for revenge but that only led to regret and desperation." Laufey answered him truthfully, Loki couldn't deny it though, it was all true. „I tell you how to help her, but you will not like it." Loki looked up confused but listened in.

„She has Jotun fever, normally only Jotuns get this it's like normal fever for mortals but for her it's much more pain and suffering since she's not a Frost giant." As Laufey explained what's Jotun fever, Loki felt more and more guilty. „You are the reason behind her sickness and you will also be the cure." „How do I do that?" Loki asked. „You must heat her entire body, but as you probably already noticed.. Hot baths and layers of clothes doesn't help." Loki listened and through the answers he was getting he realized what he meant, but wasn't really fan of it.

I notice Loki returning to the library, hoping he'll have some answers. „So what's the cure?-" he interrupted by pulling me closer to his body. Loki: „I must go" He turned around to walk off but then looked up at you again Loki: „What is your name?" you were caught off guard when he asked for your name and hesitated, if you should or shouldn't give him your name. Y/n: „It's.. Y/n."

Nat: „Y/n, Y/n?!" Y/n: „Yeah!?" Nat: „The meeting's over, you were starting out the window for straight 7 minutes what's going on?" Y/n: „Just lost in thought." Nat: „Yeah? and so who's is that jacket?" She pointed at your jacket which you had over your shoulders Y/n „Uh someone's from the.. streets." Nat: „The streets? you mean like a homeless person!?" Y/n: „No! a guy gave it to me when I was cold" Nat looked at you shocked not knowing who you're speaking of. Nat: „Your boyfriend?" you shook your head.

Later that day you decided to look for Loki. It took you hours to look around the city, however no trace of him. You notice Thor in the distance and decide to approach him since he might help you find his brother. Y/n: „Thoor!!" He turned around excited to see you, he smiled and waved Thor: „Heyy! what you doing here?" Y/n: „I must find Loki" Thor: „Loki? my brother? what is your concern with him?" you panic a little not knowing what to answer. Y/n: „Well.. yesterday I haave.. met him and he.. he gave me his jacket! and I have to return it!" Thor looks at you suspiciously but decide to trust you. Thor: „I must apologize I'd love to help out but I have no idea where he's at." You look down disappointed. Thor: „Dont worry he will show up, soo let's get some lunch shall we?" you nod and both of you went towards a near restaurant.

The next day

You woke up with the bed empty next to you, wondering where Robert went. You tried calling him but no answer. Out of anger all you could do was throw and break things. The day went on and after 10:30 Robert came home all drunk. Y/n: „WHERE WERE YOU?!" Robert: „GOD! I come home to a booring house wife, why are you so concerned that I had a little fun!?" You were speechless and all you could express now was grief and tears. You left the house for a little walk to clean up your mind, crying by every step you take. You had to seat down on a near bench and burry your face into your tiny hands. Now on just within few minutes you felt someone's presence next to you, it was Loki sitting close. Loki: „What's wrong Y/n?" does he always appear near when I need him? or is this just my imagination. You think to yourself. Y/n: „Why do you care about my personal life, you dont even know me" Loki: „Oh how much do I know about you, you'd be surprised my dear." that scared you off for a bit questioning what did he mean by the "how much do I know about you" but you let it go and focused on him actually being there to comfort. Y/n: „Can you please stay around a little longer than last time.?" His expression says yes but your gut tells you no. For the next hour or so Loki comforted you and made you feel better, however he had to leave again so that meant you will be left alone with Robert.

At home which you weren't excited to return to, you immediately rushed into your room to stay alone and have some time for yourself. Thinking of Loki, his words and why does he appear near when you need him. It only made you realize some path which Loki is leading you. He mentioned something about villain's having a soft heart spot. So is this spot meant for you? You rushed to the avengers tower searching for Thor and when you did find him, you seen him talking to Loki. Thor: „Oh Hi Y/n! Loki showed up so you can return him the jacket now" You looked shocked that Loki was there in the tower. Y/n: „h..hi Thor can I speak to you? privately.." Thor: „Yyeah sure?" Y/n: „This is crazy.. it doesn't make any sense! How does Loki know where I am and when I am feeling sad all the time?!" Thor didn't know what you were talking about so all he did was stare. Loki knock on the half open door „May I interrupt. Y/n I want to ask you something" you look up to him waiting for the question. Loki: „Do you live together with the avengers here, or with that Robert?" that caught you off guard, why would he ask something like that? Y/n: „I live with my boyfriend Robert." Loki chuckles and quietly whispers to himself „Not for long." you didn't exactly heard what he said, you only hoped it was harmless.

Once Robert asked you to hang out and so you said yes, thinking he might wanted to apologize for his rude behavior but you were at the wrong path. Robert: „I took you out for a walk just to show you that I still love you, okay y/n?" you thought it was nice of him to take you out and say the words "i love you" but was it what he feels, or just words? On the walk by the frozen lake you met Thor hanging out with Loki and Steve. You pass by them and suddenly your boyfriend seems unpleased. Steve: „Hey Y/n! so nice to see you out here, it's pretty cold these days already" Y/n: „Yeah! it is freezing and it's not even December, might start snowing the next week" your boyfriend held your hand and didn't join the conversation instead he kept looking away. Loki noticed his body language and knew that your boyfriend disliked your new companions. Y/n: „Loki you alright? you're usually the one who speaks all the time why are you so silent now?" Loki: „Hey that was mean to call me a yapper" he chuckled though. Robert got mad cause he's been standing there with you for 10 minutes in the freezing cold so he dragged you closer to him „We're leaving. No talking backs to me." he said furiously. And Thor with Steve were worried for your relationship. Loki on the other hand was mad jealous, that piece of crap didn't deserve you. Thor: „What's going on brother?" Loki: „That dick doesn't deserve to be in a relationship I mean look how is he treating Y/n." Thor: „I agree, but since when do you worry about others" Steve hesitated if he should say something but he rather stayed quiet. Loki: „I might be the bad guy brother, as everyone know me for. But I'd definitely be a better boyfriend than that idiot." Thor realized what he meant and smirked Thor: „Brother you're in love with our previous Y/n aren't you?" Steve smirked to Thor's comment. Loki: „What makes you think I am brother.. Im just implying a villain could be a better companion than a random dude she found out on the streets." Thor decided to believe his own truth that Loki is falling for Y/n and be happy for him.

The end of November is approaching and the snowflakes are starting to fall. It's a beautiful view from the avengers tower and cozy from your home with your boyfriend's cuddles. Robert: „I made you hot chocolate since your hands are always cold" you thank him and he lies down to your lap, you caress his hair, wondering if he's still the one you want to love. He was always nice to you from the beginning and still is when you're alone but never on public, you wonder why is that. Y/n: „You don't mind if I invite my friends over for a while right.? it's only today" he looks up at you knowing exactly who you're speaking of. Even though he wasn't so sure he said yes, all he wanted now was keeping you happy for your favorite holiday of the year. As the avengers show up to your home you let them in and greet them, your boyfriend helped you make hot chocolate for everyone and all of you gathered in the living room for chit chat. You were next to your boyfriend holding his hand, speaking to Nat about girl stuff.

But you also kept looking at Loki hoping that Robert won't notice. Once tho Loki caught your gaze and smirk at you, a little blush appeared on your cheeks and your boyfriend noticed. He let go of your hand and left the room. Loki took an advantage of the situation and sat next to you. Loki: „Y/n are you really happy with him" Y/n: „I mean, sometimes..? He's nice just shy to show it on public you know.." He didn't want to hear anything nice about him he hated him and his attitude. Loki was fighting the urge to be close to you, he tried not to stare at your curves. Loki: „I know I can treat you better than he can. Any girl like you deserves a gentleman by her side. Tell me y/n.. why are you waisting time crying when you should be with me instead." You didn't know how to respond, after his sudden expression to you. He leaned in closer, not wanting to make you uncomfortable but also couldn't help his desire to have you for himself. He placed his hand on your cheek Loki: „Y/n you're seriously the most beautiful girl I've met and trust me, this feelings I have for you, isn't just like that for anyone else." All you felt now was mix of feelings if you should or shouldn't lean in to kiss him now. Although he hesitated to make a move now, he kissed you. You didn't pull away you return the kiss. Everyone noticed and cheered but neither of you wanted to pull away from the kiss to see Robert staring at you. Robert: „So not only you are a liar but also a cheater" the whole room silents down and you look at Robert with regret, speechless to answer him. Tony though takes the speaking for you „She isn't a cheater if she stayed loyal to you for 3 years straight till now. But how many times have you cheated on her through the years?" Robert didn't want to admit he had cheated on you more than once or twice. „Well enjoy a worse torture in your new relationship with a villain." He said and left the room. Y/n: „Am I in the wrong?.." Nat: „No Y/n your ex boyfriend was toxic and you only should be happy now to be away from him." You felt better after Nat's words but Robert interrupted again and throw your suitcase in front of you almost hitting you with it. „EVERYBODY OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!" Robert yelled.

All of you left the house, Loki could sense your worry so he reach out to hold your hand. „Everything's going to be alright Y/n we will all stay together in Stark's tower" Tony nod in agreement. As you arrive you were feeling a bit down but also glad that you got rid of someone so toxic. You were now looking out the window, Loki hugged you from behind and placed his head on your shoulder. Loki: „Y/n, I have to know.. Are we together now?" Y/n: „I need sometime for myself but I let you know.." Loki smiled and respect your decision.
