ONE PIECE YEAHHHH

I had a bit of an art block in the sense that I didn’t like my art style and how I drew things. I realized that I compare myself too much to these artists I look up to and felt inferior; i started doubting myself and thought “what’s the point if these artists just sweep the competition?”

It wasn’t the most constructive thing but it’s what I thought of. I wanted to take a break with how I drew things and started loosening up, realzing how the artists I love just have these fun and energetic poses and expressions— which is why I drew Luffy.

His expressions, his fun cartooniness just makes me loosen up and have fun drawing again instead of worrying about muscles and the accuracy of anatomy

It’s hilarious how this dude Kira is smiling so evil in public, laughing maniacally, be twerking on someone’s grave, and no one has caught him. I still love the anime

Also it just dawned on me how many similarities Death Note has with Dexter: serial killer with mysterious identity works with police, the detective is very suspicious of him; serial killer also still secretly kills while working with the police

Saw this technique on YouTube on how to learn painting faster; works like a charm :D

Hopefully I can apply this to my regular drawings somehow even if my artstyle is different
