Dating Isagi Yoichi was an experience filled with excitement, competition, and, well... occasional awkwardness.

Today was no different.

You were sitting across from him at a small café, the warm scent of coffee lingering in the air. Isagi had been acting suspiciously all day—shifting in his seat, clearing his throat repeatedly, and looking at you like he was planning something.

You raised an eyebrow. "Yoichi, is something wrong?"

Isagi immediately straightened up. "No! Not at all!" He forced a cough and glanced away. "I just... uh, wanted to do something cool today."

You blinked. "Cool?"

He nodded, his determination flaring up like he was about to score the winning goal in a match. "Yeah! You know, like those romantic moments in movies! Where the guy says something really smooth, and the girl gets all flustered."

You smiled, amused. "Oh? Go ahead, then. Impress me."

Isagi cleared his throat dramatically and reached for your hand across the table. He stared into your eyes, his blue irises filled with intensity.

"(Y/N)..." he started, voice unusually deep. "When I see you, my heart—"

At that exact moment, the waiter appeared beside your table. "Here's your iced coffee and cake!"

Isagi flinched so hard that he knocked over his glass of water, the liquid spilling all over his lap.

Silence.

You bit your lip, trying to hold back laughter, while Isagi sat frozen, staring at the mess with sheer horror. The waiter awkwardly placed your food down and left with a small nod, sensing the second-hand embarrassment radiating from your boyfriend.

Isagi groaned, covering his face with his hands. "I completely ruined the moment."

You burst out laughing. "Yoichi, you looked so serious, and then—" You mimicked his startled expression, making him groan louder.

"This is so embarrassing," he mumbled, grabbing a handful of napkins to clean himself up. "I was trying to be cool, but I ended up looking like an idiot."

You shook your head, smiling softly. "Yoichi, you don't have to try so hard to be romantic. I already love you just the way you are."

His ears turned red, and he peeked at you through his fingers. "...Really?"

You nodded. "Really."

He let out a relieved sigh, finally dropping his hands from his face. "Okay. No more trying to be some suave movie guy. I'll just be myself."

"Good," you said, taking a bite of your cake. "Because I think flustered, clumsy Isagi is pretty cute."

His face burned even redder. "Stop teasing me!"

You only laughed, watching as he buried his face in his hands again. Even if his romantic attempt had failed spectacularly, in your eyes, he was perfect just the way he was.
