incredible to me that in the age of spending minimum $100 for groceries for one person every three weeks where i live, people are still online like "dairy is bad for you because it has a lot of calories". at this point im calculating calories per dollar at the grocery store and youre still stuck in "fat bad" mindset from 1980. you are an absurd person to me. laughable

If anything he reads like someone who's attempting to chair an unruly group project.#Honestly I think this scene does so much to show us why JGY manages to become the respectable leader he does in the future.#He's actully good at leading discussions and doesn't rise to bait. He's trying to start a productive discussion with *real facts*.#There is genuine honour in his approach and he never jumps into the emotional bandwagon.#The issue at the moment is that he doesn't have same level of authority as the contrastively *worst* sect leader does.#Jin Guangshan has a very specific agenda - to gain power by throwing anyone he deems expendable into the gutter.#The story even explicitly calls him out on not being so different from Wen Rohan multiple times.#The insidious part is that he's surrounded by people who think this is all justified.#It's all about using the 'victim' narrative to leverage justification. I know that we think the Wayne would be recognizable/well known by the general public because they’re rich and the work that they do (like Wayne Industries etc), but I think that the way most people would know them is by the shit post of a family they portray themselves to be.

Like growing up Dick 100% had a Vine that heavily included the Titans, sometimes Jason, and on rare occasions Bruce and Alfred. There is an infamous vine of Jason recording from the ground floor, camera pointed toward Dick before he yells “Do it for the Vine!!!” as Dick takes a running dive to the chandelier as you hear Bruce yell, “RICHARD NO” as he releases what is happening.

Tim has an instagram that is just photos he has taken of the family where they a) didn’t see him take the photo, or even know he was in the general vicinity and b) catching them in an embarrassing moment. There are photos like Bruce on a corner holding an umbrella and a wave of water crashing into him caused by a car that had just driven past, or another photo of Damian in the park feeding the birds and you can see that he has accumulated an army of pigeons around him.

Steph has a tiktok and will drag each member of the family to do dances with her. Duke, Dick, and Cass always look excited to join in, Tim looks awkward doing most of the dance but tries, Damian with just stand there glaring at the camera, and on occasion Steph is even able to drag Bruce in to join. Before Jason is revealed to be alive to the public there is just sometime glimpses of him in the back of the videos. There are often comments like “GIRL WHO IS THAT” or “am I going crazy or is there someone in the background”. There is a whole tiktok niche that is just people theorizing on what is happening in the background of the videos. There was also a trend of when the Nepo baby song came out of their friends making edits of them to it, the first one was done by Bernard and the comment was just “love you babe <3”.

I just think it is immensely funnier if people are able to recognize the Wayne because of the memes that come from their social media

I have been writing TFA on an off for a decade, which is wild to type out. I didn't start out with a whole lot of mutuals, like at all. I was completely absent during the TS3 era because life was lifing hard (college, grad school, Circumstances™). I got TS4 for my birthday which was just a few days after its release and had no idea where everyone was posting and sharing their stuffs (in the sims 2 era there were actual forums but those have since gone away). Anyway, found tumblr and stayed here.

I guess I got the followers I have now because interest in the story grew and I have hot takes that just fall off my fingers every now and then. Spicy ones at that! I'm really here to be among simmers who love and hate this game and post whatever they're doing in the game which, of course, I love to see. I'm most passionate about my story. So when parts of it are copied, baby let me tell you, it doesn't feel good. I love to be an inspiration and am humbled by that (and I know this conversation is old af so feel free to keep scrolling), but there is a difference between being inspired and using someone else's style and/or copying entire screenshots, dialogue, etc. Literally the exact post and scene in some cases! I don't like that and I'm not complaining, but offering up something for anyone feeling inspired by other simmers:

Its not always about giving credit. Try to find ways to shoot something that is entirely your own, even if you are inspired by someone else's scene, interior, build, whatever it is. Make it yours. Make it so uniquely yours that it stands out. I get inspired by others all the time! If I want to do something similar, I do, but I remix it so hard that it becomes my own (does that make sense?). Its about creativity. Its easy to take something and ctrl c + ctrl v. The challenge is putting your own twist on it.

This has been my quarterly feelings vomit. Thank you for reading.

#also? when you do this #it discourages people from continuing #I've seen a lot of simmers leave #because they do something and it amasses a bajillion notes #so multiple other people try to do the same thing #some folks might be honored by that #and some folks might feel a type of way #we're all creatives here #let's use it
