1. Assuming that low empathy makes someone a bad person. It does not. Actions are what matter, not empathy levels.

2. Demonizing autistic people whose low/no empathy they attribute to their autism. Autism fundamentally impacts the way you interact with the world, others, and yourself. That includes empathy.

the fact that all of these things can exist in someone's mind as equally valid and neutral "personal bodily choices" is both frightening and infuriating. anything that involves another person is not strictly a matter of individual bodily autonomy, and anything involving the presence of money being used to influence a choice that would not otherwise be made in its absence is not "autonomy".

deeply disturbing seeing the concept of "having sex for free" lined up here too, as if people somehow forgot that sex doesn't inherently have anything to do with money.

i’m very sorry that society has made you feel this way about your fellow disabled people. i hope you can reflect on why you believe that other people with worse symptoms than you are bringing down this community and giving us a bad name.

(especially in the context of a vent post that is not indicative of whether or not we are “actually trying” in real life.)

i am also sorry that society makes you believe that in order for disabled people to be respected we have to consistently be working toward a nebulous goal of self improvement and overcoming of disability as to not be perceived as lazy and inconsiderate by the world.

(Edit: Thanks to the people who informed me on what Leif's species is!)

Sat down and got to finally properly render these fuckers while also settling on how I should draw them. I actually did a tiny bit of research on their respective species, took a few elements here and there but nothing to drastically change them.

So as far as I'm aware, Leif is not a specific moth but plenty of blue and red moths will usually have the eye patterns on their wings and as well as have fluff on their bodies. Had fun with the posing and if you can guess where I referenced it then you get a cookie. Thought it was neat that the original concept was that he was suppose to dance.

Vi is obviously a honey bee, they're very well known to be fuzzy. I don't have much to say besides from that but if anyone doesn't know, only females have stingers.

Now Kabbu was really testing my patience, according to the wiki it states that is he is a rainbow scarab beetle. If that is wrong then too bad, those guys are gorgeous and it took me too long to figure how to balance the colors without burning my eyes. Its faint but noticeable, just so I can still be true to the game model, also I know it's not as visible here but I realize beetle wings are very pretty.

So what's the conclusion here? There needs to be a website dedicated to bug references so I can sit there and admire them all day.

It was my understanding that BOTW Link found the Master Sword at a very young age, and Mipha notes how it changed him from a carefree child to stoic soldier

we don’t know exactly when he found it, so i actually don’t consider that detail an AOC timeline difference! you’re right that it’s implied that he was much younger than the average soldier, but exactly HOW young is unclear. creating a champion suggests he was somewhere around 12, but there’s no game source for that so it’s technically non-canon, and given that he was likely around 15 or 16 at the beginning of aoc, he’s also very young to be a soldier in that timeline. most other soldiers we see are implied to be adults, or eighteen at the very least, so even as a young teenager link would have still been at least 3 or 4 years younger than everyone else in the royal guard, which i would argue is still a significant enough age gap for him to be considered a kid. as for mipha’s comments, i think it’s important to note that 1. being a zora, she is experiencing time on a vastly different scale than link (and she has very little experience with hylians outside of link pre-calamity) so natural hylian aging would likely seem incredibly dramatic to her, and 2. we don’t actually know how much time passed between her encounter with him as a child and their first meeting as champions. we can speculate somewhat based on their respective ages, but mipha is very much an unreliable narrator when it comes to hylian aging and timescales. so tldr that wasn’t TECNHICALLY a change between the botw and aoc timelines because aoc does actually fall within the theoretical parameters we have for the botw pre-calamity timeline. because it’s so vague there’s a ton of wiggle room, and i personally prefer a link who found the sword a little younger than what aoc portrays, but yeah :)
