I love the idea of the foxes slowly realizing how serious Neil is when he makes a threat.

"Please dude, what will it take for me to make this right?" The guy had to be given some credit, he was enough of a fan to want to learn more about the Foxes. But what Neil could blame him for was the lack of self control. At some point he could have stopped digging.

"A broken leg and three pulled teeth." Neil looked around the room bored. Keven had his arms crossed on the couch with Andrew beside him. The goalkeeper turned a knife between his fingers absentmindedly.

The bound and kneeling man laughed nervously, "that's a nice joke, but really, is there any way to make it up to you guys?"

Dan spoke up from the behind him, leaning against a wall of framed memories, "I don't think you want him to repeat himself." Matt sat on the ground beside her, looking away at some corner of the room. He'd made the mistake of thinking Neil was joking before. He felt bad for the guy, but not enough the excuse his invasion.

Everyday I think of this and everyday I wish Neil got that shot

A Fox Walks a Dog

I've had this idea of the Trojans and Foxes going on a combined team retreat. Wrote a short moment of the day they all go to the beach!

Andrew had said no.

Jeremy had learned to have Neil do the heavy lifting when trying to convince Andrew to do something.

The Foxes were invited out to an Exy retreat to the Golden Court. Neil and Keven couldn't have been happier to examine the happy-pilled team much closer now they also had an ex-raven to harden their playing style. Each day would be a different activity with weekends reserved for outings. Of course they couldn't go to California without hitting up the beach, according to their sickeningly smiley captain, Jeremy. Looming near the unnatural blonde like a shadow was Jean. Both of them hid behind Neil as he repeated Jeremy's ask.

"There's a lot we had to do with setting up our spot, everyone had pitched in but you. It's only fair." On a leash, was the dumb face of a panting golden retriever. Andrew didn't care enough to recount her name even in his private monologue.

"We promised her a treat if she behaved on the drive here and she was such a good girl!" Jeremey pleaded their case with loving strokes along the shoulders of the fury beast.

"I didn't want to be here in the first place, how is this any of my problem?" The beach was much too open of an area for any of the foxes to feel safe in. How any of them could have a good time was a true mystery to the goalie. It was bad enough at least three people here had ties to the mafia, a drowning could be easily staged and Andrew didn't think he had enough swimming experience for a rescue.

The deep red of the stricker's hair glowed, almost fiery in the harsh sun. Neil switched to their only other common language, Russian, to relay a promise if Andrew took the slobbery thing out and got her a treat.

Andrew was silent and his golden-amber eyes narrowed to slits. Neil understood it as a victory and handed the leash over with a heavily scared hand.

How could he be okay with any of this? "You of all people should hate the beach." He chose to speak in English, allowing Jeremy and Jean to relax having been let back into the conversation.

The red haired fox tilted his head in thaught, and gave a sneering smile, only his glacier eyes gave way to any amusement at the allusion.

"I smoke for the nostalgia. This," he glanced around coolly, "is a fucking daydream."

MAWS Thoughts on S2E5

Spoilers Including Pictures Ahead!

TLDR - I wasn't a fan of the way things went. I think there are better ways to execute what happened in the ep.

Relationship Conflicts: Lois and Jimmy

1. I think it's corny to have Clois' "break up" be because of a bachelor's show. Yes, Lois is always questioning her worth and has terrible abandonment issues, but I feel like it could have been approached in a more realistic way.

2. In combination to that, Jimmy shouldn't have to hide from Clark because of the convention when Clark was there seeing how much Jimmy was trying to defend him. Jimmy didn't know they were going to bring out Lex and discus Superman being an problem. He was put on the spot and Clark knows that. Why can't he use the brains he has to hunt down cryptids and make the simple conclusion that Clark wouldn't be upset with him and would even find comfort that his friend was put on the spot and still did his best to defend Superman.

Side note. There are 24 hours in the day, Lois and Clark have phones and know where each other lives yet we are to believe they have found ABSOLUTEYLY NO time to talk to each other???

I make these two main points to propose a different sequence of events that still impacts significant relationships after the attack in S2E4:

After the attack, Jimmy suggests that Superman lays low for a while since so many influential people seem to have been convinced of Superman being an issue. Of course Clark would disagree because he can literally hear and see how bad things can get without him helping out and he needs to be identifiable to his cousin when she shows up. After hearing the assignment being given to Cat, Clark finds out that he is wanted at the Bachelor event and would be happy to attend because it's for charity. The issue is he doesn't tell anyone about it because Jimmy and Lois agreed he should lay low. Lois confides in Jimmy about her job offer in Gotham and he offers to go with her to check out the city because he also is following a story about some mysterious things going on there (this could be a way to hint at some batman related stuff). Jimmy and Lois run into Kara and because they have more than one braincell, they figure out she's Clark's cousin and try to bring her to him. Lois find out from Kara's rambling that Clark set off the beaker without telling her and she's upset with him while trying to understand more about Kara. In looking for Clark they find Superman on the dating show but missed the part where Superman explained he was seeing someone. Lois is even more upset since Clark didn't tell her about it (this would be a genuine asshat move on his part, a real flaw instead of some childish thing) and by how well Superman and Silver are getting along and even how she defends him. All of these things confound into her spiraling and Kara has a bad impression of Clark after seeing how hurt Lois is by him and his actions (the concept of being a bad s/o has to exist on Krypton if they are similar to earth enough to have marriages). Kara flips out on Clark and Lois and Jimmy can't convince her to stop. Clark finds out that Lois is mad and him hurting Lois' feelings is why Kara is fighting him. Kara takes Superman. END OF EP.

Criticisms of Kara + her being set up with Jimmy.

She looks out of place. I get her design is directly inspired by Android 18 from Dragon Ball but her hairstyle specifically is too anime for the more Western based show and MAKES HER LOOK 14 YRS OLD which leads me to my other point.

2. It's weird that she looks 14 and is being set up with Jimmy who's 23 (wiki says he was born in 01'). It's giving the older caretaker of a uneducated child orphan vibes when he was taking her around the city showing her things instead of a first date vibe the show was going for.

3. How is Jimmy in love with her??? Because she's pretty???? He knows nothing about her and why isn't he freaked out by the fact that it obviously seems like she's never experienced extremely common things like hot dogs and ice-cream. His entire deal is sniffing out weird alien and supernatural stuff so how was the way she behaved not a red flag to him??? Also I feel like her being so naive of Earth's culture plays into her being inappropriately young.

On Their Way to Gotham?

Season 2 Ep 3 Spoilers!

My stream of consciousness after watching the most recent episode.

Lois is offered that job in Gotham and they are slowly leading up to Supergirl this season. I wonder if there will be an episode dedicated to Clark and Lois going on a trip or even Lois going alone to Gotham because she probably is going to be hesitant about revealing the job offer to the others.

I hope the small mentioned of Gotham and the main cast being drawn to it will be an intro to another series but focusing on Batman! I'm not too confident they will because of the show's overall vibes though. It fits perfectly for the lovable himbo Superman but Badman would need something darker. The show airs on adult swim so I think it would be interesting if they did a series that was noticeably darker and more serious than MAWS. Though it would be difficult to have crossovers because the producers would have to settle on either making superman face the maturity Batman's day-to-day involves or watering down Batman's vibes. The only thing really giving me hope for a crossover/entire series dedicated to Batman is the scene when Parasite was basically getting his insides disintegrated.

Either way, I really want to see what this show will do with Bruce and his first interactions with Superman/Clark. If they are more than ok showing and hinting at future DC villains/allies, then why not more explicitly other superheroes? There was that brief moment with the Helmet of Fate, the mother box, mace, (wielded Hawkman and Hawkwoman), green lantern power battery, T-Sphere, and the book of destiny (not super clear if it really is but that's my best guess?) all in Season 1 ep 7. It was a super lore heavy ep basically introducing the DC multiverse. I just feel like they are taking too long to introduce other key members of the justice league when they are so comfortable bringing in things that surround the league. Why not a mention of a prodigy forensic scientist Berry Allan while Superman is trying to investigate something, or wealthy business man Oliver Queen/ Brice Wayne when Superman is asked to investigate a white collar crime? These small easter eggs and name drops don't have to only be for villains and lesser allies!

The Butcher's Son Self-Assignment

TKM Spoilers, set directly after Neil found out about what happened to Andrew while he was at Easthaven Hospital for rehab.

Content Warning: torture, insinuation of assault, kidnapping, racism

Neil felt a fire rise in his chest. Of all the stupid thing's he's done, believing Riko would keep his word was the most egregious. In silence, Neil went back to his room but unable to respond when Matt asked if thing's were alright. Too much was going through the striker's mind as he found his phone on the charger. Neil's father spoke of making him an apprentice, it was his mother's love and borderline paranoia that kept him from turning into the monster they spend his entire life running away from. He disobeyed and betrayed all that she had sacrificed just to play Exy for a year. Now, he would continue to betray her in the worse way possible.

The text to Wymack was short and did little as a heads up.

You: I'll be back in 3 days.

The response was immediate;

Coach W: THE FUCK YOU WILL

But Neil's vision was merely a haze of what was around him. All Nathanial wanted to see was the inside of Dr. Proust's ribcage, warm and drenched in blood. Nathanial's finger twitched at the thought of such a sensation, plucking shards of bone from the wedges of a hammer. He almost couldn't hear Matt's phone ringing as he rushed out the door. A high laugh escaped between his gritted teeth, it was hysterical to him that he was running towards, and not away, from his first kill as the Butcher's son.

He disappeared form the fox tower to make his way across highways in the dead of night to reach Easthaven Hospital. It was as simple as waiting for the doctor to come in the next morning. The anger Nathanial felt against himself kept his nerves from subsiding. Nearly manic with energy the Butcher's son had a day to prepare, a day to execute, and a day to cover his track further.

Walmart had everything he needed for cheap, but he jogged around the entire city to different locations to split up his purchases. Nathanial knew to grab some clothes and shoes that didn't fit to make himself appear as a different, much larger body type. He knew hydrogen peroxide and sponges would get the blood stains out of most materials. He knew a generic air freshener and a wide brush to fake vacuum patterns along the carpet would make it look as though custodial came by through the night. He knew to get a disposable camera to keep track of where everything was in the office before the struggle.

It was easy enough to get Dr. Proust personal phone number, home address, and the name of his house maid. It was easy enough to find a dead bird in the park. It was easy enough to wait until the doctor came in the next morning so coworkers could watch as he willingly left work in the middle of the day due to a 'personal emergency'. It was easy enough to make the call pretending to be a police officer investigating that maid's suicide which left a positive pregnancy test and note addressed to him by name. It was easy enough to knock out the security camera in the parking lot by chucking a dead bird at it just before dawn. It was easy enough to have drained the oil from his car. It was easy enough to watch his engine blow out in the middle of the road and him getting out red-faced and stomping.

"Shit dude, hey I have a shop not too far form here I can get you to were you need to go in no time!" A hooded figure with his hands in his pockets shouted from across the street.

"I truly don't have the time for this crap, I'll just call a cab -uh, thanks for the offer though." Dr. Proust waved off the hooded figure and turned his back to dial something in his phone.

The hooded figure crossed the street and pointed just a block away, not lifting his head enough for Dr. Proust to see his face clearly, "I can have someone give you a ride if you let us rotate your tires on top of checking out the engine bust."

Dr. Proust rolled his eyes and sighed, "Fine, fine, but I better not see a scratch on my car when your done and no messing with the headlights I know one is out and I've never met an maraca shaking alien who could change them right." Dr. Proust didn't make it half the block before being pulled into a dark alleyway. A wash cloth damp with chloroform muzzled his shouts and before he could remember why he was out of his office in the first place, the world went to black.

Nathanial brought Dr. Proust to an abandoned shed a few miles out from a walking trail. The lanky heap was bound in cables and duck tape. The blaze-haired Fox prowled around his prey, watching as he groaned and twitched in confusion. Nathanial spent some time examining the doctor's hands. Wrinkled with age and sun-spotted, Nathanial doubted Andrew was his only victim. The Butcher's son would be doing many people a favor by getting rid of such a monstrous bug. Nathanial's teeth ground as he sneered, almost involuntarily, at the sight of it. All he went through thinking Andrew was safe, instead this creature violated the only person he's ever trusted since his mother's death. The hands, that's were he'll start, dissecting them like he was taught to dissect and destroy minds.

Dr. Proust woke to the feeling of skin peeling form the back of his hand. He writhed in pain, eyes rolling round the room without truly seeing. Nathanial had redone the binds to wrap around his forearms to keep him still while also exposing enough flesh to work with. Is glassier-colored eyes looked on with curiosity as he prodded and poked the now exposed veins and muscles surrounding small bones. Nathanial didn't mind the trembling or desperate muffles of what he assumed were bargaining pitches. He knew no amount of money could correct what he had done to Andrew and so many others. Not even blood could pay them back for their trauma. Despite this, Nathanial looked into the doctor's brown eyes and smiled. A smile Andrew couldn't help but wear to bury a deep anguish.

Within the day Dr. Proust was slowly dismembered alive.

After the initial rounds of argument between the Foxes, Nicky had the news broadcast on blast incase something came up about Neil while he was gone. Dan thought they should put out a missing person report but Kevin spoke up against it. Instead they watched the news, correctly guised whatever Neil was up to would be picked up on, with or without his name being mentioned. On day two, Dr. Proust was reported missing after leaving work at his own free will. His car was found abandoned width the engine blown out due to an empty oil tank. Unfortunately, a bird had smashed the camera that would have recorded any tampering with the doctor's vehicle.

When the Foxes brought the news to Wymack, he raised his hands and said, "I don't see how nay of this has to do with us unless there's a warrant involved." Uneasily, the Foxes waited another day for their striker to return. When he did, smiling as if nothing had ever happened, Andrew smacked him in the back of the head and did little to pretend he wasn't targeting Niels ancles during practice. Matt tried to tell Andrew to knock it off, but Neil chuckled and said it's Andrew's special way of saying thank you. The goalkeeper's glove was thick with padding and made a prominent, very visible middle finger.

"But he turned around BECAUSE he loved her" a Rant

THIS IS ONLY AN OPINION. DON'T BE PRESSED.

!!For me!! I would value and recognize my partner's love more if they kept in mind the severity of a situation. Turning around because Orpheus loved her so much is valid if we can also recognize he's an idiot for turning around. I say he's an idiot bc we have to think about the weight of each outcome and compare them to each other.

1. He turns around and she's stuck in Hades AND it's HIS FAULT.

2. He gets to the end but something happend and she isn't there (either she died on the way or the gods tricked him or whatever) but IT ISNT HIS FAULT AND HE SHOWED HOW DEDICATED HE IS TO HAVING HER BCAK

3. He gets to the end and she's there and they live happily ever after and NOTHING'S HIS FAULT AND HE SHOWED HOW DEDICATED HE WAS TO HAVING HER BACK.

TWO of the three options includes him sticking it out and going till the end. If he chose to keep going that only leave options 2 or 3 left. Which means there's still at least the hope that option 3 is STILL POSSIBLE.

If the person I loved wasn't an idiot they would recognize that if they turn around they loose me point blank period. If they don't turn around then there's a CHANCE at us being together and they want to be with me so bad that they keep that in mind NO MATTER WHAT and keep going.

I'm not saying Orpheus wasn't in love with her. I'm saying he's an idiot.

Now, Eurydice was assured of his love bc he did turn around. PERSONALLY in my opinion if I was in that situation I would be more assured of his love if he stuck it out and took the only option we're there was a chance we would be together. Sis and I just value different expressions of love. For her, making a stupid decision bc he loved her so much was touching. But me? I'd be pissed.
