"I think... anxious and overprotective, princess." the knight replied with an ironic grin, raising his shield to guard his chest. Arthur chuckled in amusement, sidestepping a couple of paces to look for a weakness in the man's stance.

"Yeah. He’d probably be a good father." Arthur added more seriously with a sigh, leaning forward slightly in preparation for the next attack.

"Yeah, probably." Gwaine agreed. ________________________________________________

🎉 I officially joined them @merlinbingo and I’m working on the prompt “The Library”! 🎉 It’s turning into pure crack, ridiculous banter, and fandom nonsense — here’s a little work-in-progress snippet:

The pages of the magical book keep flipping rapidly, until they slam to a stop on another story: “Gwen/Morgana: The Queens of Camelot.” And, perfectly timed, Gwen herself opens the door to the library, watching the two men’s backs as they lean over the book: “…excuse me, what are you reading?” And that voice is enough to make both Merlin and Arthur jump, spinning around toward her: “NOTHING!!” But then Merlin, under his breath and with a smirk: “…but I might read it later.”

Draft 2 of... we'll see!

[…] And here’s the next page the story lands on: “Merlin/Every Knight: Behind Closed Doors.” Arthur sighs, rolling his eyes toward the ceiling: “Merlin, exactly how many people have you seduced?” Merlin, now as red as the Pendragon crest: “ME?! I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING! THE BOOK MAKES THINGS UP!” Gaius, quietly clearing his throat: “…Merlin, the book draws from the hidden desires of the common folk outside the Library.” Merlin: “…ah.” Arthur’s gaze slowly slides over to Merlin, eyes narrowing dangerously: “…has Gwen ever looked at you strangely?” Merlin: “…Arthur, NO.”

So yeah, stay tuned — this is turning into an absolute mess! Can’t wait to share the full piece with you — expect crack, meta humor, and utter chaos. 😏✨ What do you think?
