I took inspiration from vintage books/poster pages for the lay-out, and I just took what I remember from my own childhood paper dolls to start constructing him. 🩷

But here it is in a half-finished state! 😍 I'm super excited to be working on this, coming up with the little outfits and pieces and details! It's all very fiddly, though, to make it fit juuust right 😬

I made a template for digital artists, to make the pricing process of your commissions a bit easier! 💖

It's a ready-to-use Excel file that includes:

Different sizes: portraits, half body or full body, and different styles: sketches, lineart, flat coloured or fully rendered

Several add-ons, fees, and discounts in an integrated back-end tab: pets, simple backgrounds, extra items, complex backgrounds, rush fee, and an extra character discount.

Completely customizable to your preferred hourly rate, and time spent on an art piece.

And most importantly: easy to use! Insert the rate chosen, a few yesses or no's, and the calculations are done for you! The invoice is ready for you and your client, broken down with clear numbers.

Everything is explained very well in the guide I added, and there's an example added, but of course if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask me!

I so so SO enjoyed this DTIYS hosted by peomichie on instagram!! I'm really happy I explored different styles and ideas for this! 🥰

The characters were amazing and beautiful and FUN to draw! And it was such an interesting but challenging pose... 💜

james is very fascinated by muggle cameras. lily and regulus notice this of course and lily pitches an idea: to get james a camera for his birthday. they save up the money they need for a higher quality camera and wrap it up in a fancy box and present it to him on his birthday. the smile james gives them is worth every penny they spent.

they expected the obsession that came after. james took his camera everywhere, always taking pictures, not just of the the scenery or himself, but of his friends and family and most importantly of lily and regulus. what they didn't expect was that james had all of their photos printed and compiled them into an album, decorated it and drew little hearts and stars and flowers on it and wrote down little notes of what had happened the day the photos were taken. he revealed this album to them on their anniversary as a shared gift.
