Columbus leaves many devastating legacies that we refuse to embrace today or any other day. One of those is the gender binary. Did you know many of the tribes that make up Indigenous People Of America had third gender or two-spirit people? Happy #Indigenouspeoplesday. #KnowYourHistory #DecolonizeYourMind

Absolutely love this persons analysis. Any thoughts on this? #tpoc #trans #transpoc #hair #hairjourney #transtuesday #transformationtuesday #Repost @laundromattt (@get_repost) ・・・ Hair and Identity I have always valued my hair, probably more than the average person. My hair was one of the most important aspects of my expression from who I am to how I wanted society to see me as. It's been there when I identified as a woman, lesbian, effeminate and then masculine, and to trans, as male identifying, and queer. My hair was always a means to perform my identity. For me, it's hard to see my hair as "just hair" when it really feels like it’s a part of me and who I am. . As I am nearing my birthday and two years on testosterone, I realized I have lived my whole lifetime being meticulous, controlling, and protective of my hair. It's somewhat become my security blanket because it was one thing I could control in my life. Choosing haircuts that I was accustomed to was another attempt to keep control and hold on to what was. My hair has always been a symbolism for where I am in life, and where I am now is feeling ready to let go. I wanted to let go of the dead ends on my hair and the dead ends in my life. I wanted to cut those away and move on, and so I decided to shave my hair off (and no I didn't shave my hair off to pass more as male nor is it trans related). It has prompted a growth within myself that I had never expected. . I was so scared to do it, but once I did it was liberating. As I was looking at myself, I realized it felt so good to feel free from something that I controlled and what controlled me. I truly saw myself and gained confidence from it. In these moments of change, I'm not searching for a new look, but a whole new start in life. I'm on a mission to create a new and better version of myself. . If you've read this far, thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts. 🙏🏽 Do you feel the same about your hair? Or do you have a similar relationship with something else? . #transformation #transformationtuesday

Happy #melaninmonday to this incredible #transvet and #tpoc @luckypandacub who's currently recovering from their #phallojourney . They're hosting a Q&A soon so get in touch! #protecttranstroops #Repost @luckypandacub (@get_repost) ・・・ Good morning! So, I've been getting a lot of questions regarding my surgery, many of which are similar, and I was wondering if y'all would be interested in me going live here later today to talk about my experience so far with OHSU and Dr. Berli? If so, what time? Remember I'm on PST. I'm still feeling a little bit loopy from surgery yesterday, but I'm happy to to do a brief Q&A if it would be helpful. _ #phallojourney #drberli #phalloplasty #ohsu #trans #transgender #ftm #tpoc #qtpoc #transguy #transman #lgbt #lgbtq #translife #queer #postop #recovery #lowersurgery #bottomsurgery #q&a
