A second trip? Absurd. Better to just balance four plastic bags on each arm, grip two bags with your teeth, hold the milk between your knees, and bunny hop into the house.
lester: Now, if I may speak for good-looking people everywhere...
meg: Only as their rodeo clown.
lester: Ha! Don't you know the trappers trap can trap the trapper?
lester: I must be losing it, I'm quoting meg.
meg: I fell—
lester: From heaven?
meg: No, I literally fell—
lester: In love with me the moment you saw me?
meg: MY ARM IS BROKEN!
lester: Okay, but do you think I'm pretty? Be honest.
piper: jason is too tall for me to kiss them on the lips. What should I do?
percy: Punch them in the stomach. Then, when they double over in pain, kiss them.
annabeth: Tackle them!
frank: Dump them.
leo: Kick them in the shin!
jason: No to all of those! Just ask me to lean down!!
Five, to Y/n: How do you tell someone politely you want to hit them with a brick?
Y/n: Isn’t a bit dangerous?
Five: Y/n, please. We’ve in a lot of unexpected predicaments before and we always escape unhurt.
Y/n: ...
Five: Okay, we sometimes escape unhurt.
Y/n: ...
Five: Alright, we escaped unhurt once... Then we hurt ourselves in the way home.
Y/n: Damn, Five, are you secretly cool?
Five: Well, poker is just math, so I guess it depends on if you consider the mathematician, Carl Friedrich Gauss, cool.
Y/n: I do not.
Y/n: I’m not so sure you’re stakeout material.
Five: I’m a chronic insomniac, I was born for this.
Five: Oh, so when crows remember people who wronged them and hold grudges, its “intelligent” and “really cool”.
Five: But when I do it, I’m “petty” and “need to let it go”.
Enid Mary Blyton was an English children's writer, whose books have been worldwide bestsellers since the 1930s, selling more than 600 million copies. Her books are still enormously popular and have been translated into 90 languages. As of June 2018, Blyton held 4th place for the most translated author.
Not to mention she wrote
762 books while JK roach wrote only 19 books in the traditional sense, but has written, published, and produced other fiction and ( other trash ) screenplays
( i know @amuseoffyre mentioned her but i needed to elaborate cause shes the reson i got into reading )
Can’t believe Jane Austen wrote Pride and Prejudice in the 2000s
And in 2015 Emily Brontë released literary clsssic Wuthering Heights
as a muslim i agree with everything said @thesoftrainbows
Hello!
I just found out that Muslims believe that every kind of magic is Black Magic (correct me if I’m wrong). Now I’m a bit afraid of writing them into my Harry Potter rewrite, since I wanted to represent them but if it’s going to offend my Muslim readers, then I think I probably shouldn’t. Still, here’s what I had in plan for them (there was supposed to be two characters who were Muslim).
They’re best friends whose family are also very close. They’re supposed to be muggleborn witches. One of them (Zaneerah) is blind, and the other one (Saida) doesn’t have any disability. So once they get to Hogwarts and they realized just how inaccessible the school is for students with any kind of disabilities, the two muslim best friends work together to find magical ways to make life easier.
After their project is done and over with and Zaneerah begins excelling in her classes with her new spells and such, Saida finds that her passions lay in helping those with certain disabilities. She spends the rest of her school years working closely with other disabled students to find something that helps them without actually erasing their disability (if they don’t wish to).
I’m disabled, so I thought this would be a cool idea. But if it’ll offend my Muslim readers then perhaps I shouldn’t proceed? What do you think? Because I do believe that there must be magical people all over the country regardless of where they’re from or their religion, should these girls struggle with their newfound identity while at school? Maybe have some issues with their families? They would have to attend Hogwarts or some magical school because otherwise they’d become Obscurials.
Again, if it’s too complicated, or would still offend my Muslim readers, just tell me the word and I’ll remove this idea and replace it with someone else.
Hi! I think it's completely okay to write that! Since it's a fictional story and you're doing it to represent Muslims, I don't think it would offend the muslim readers and from what you've described of your characters, they don't seem to fall into the problematic and stereotypical muslim representation media often shows (as in you know portraying them as terrorists and always violent) And speaking of, muslim families being shown as not accepting their children's differences is also a somewhat repetitive and harmful trope in many media, so I'd suggest to not have that and have them be supportive even if they don't understand
But yeah I think you should go for it! It's a very good idea! I love that you're writing this to represent the muslim and disabled community
You are awesome and that anon is jealous of your amazing spirit! Keep being lovely! ❤️
sorry for the late reply (i never check my inbox anymore ) but thanks and i dont care about that anon cause like oscar wilde said " ignore your enemies nothing annoys them as much "
Especially in the fanfictions. Rachel is often potrayed as some rich, snobby, jealous person from hell, always trying to ruin Percabeth.
Yes ,Percabeth is the best relationship that anyone could have. Annabeth is the best person as a girlfriend for Percy. Annabeth is also completely justified in her former jealousy for Rachel. She saw the latter as a threat and a rival and felt betrayed and hurt because she's the one Percy's known longer. She's the one who's saved Percy's butt a number of times .She's his best friend.Percy, clearly showed interest in Rachel and that made her jealous .
However, she stops being jealous the moment Percy and she start dating. She doesn't feel jealous of Reyna or Nico when they show feelings towards her boyfriend.
So,back to the topic of Rachel.
The fandom, the same fandom who were so vehement in their hate towards Rachel in the Battle of the Labyrinth, suddenly, after the last olympian and the heroes of olympus, find no problem in making fanfictions where Annabeth betrays Percy with some new camper, just so that they can ship Percy with Reyna, Nico or Calypso. And these are only the canon crushes .
Almost all the olympians,(most of whom hate Percy) are ironically shipped with Percy,Including Artemis and Hestia , both Virgin goddesses, Hades and Athena ,who hate Percy to the core and even sometimes Poseidon.
And the list doesn't end here. Percy is shipped with Zoe,Thalia ,Jason,Piper,Leo etc.
And why don't they ship Percy with a character who has more chemistry with him than the other fanon ships or even the canon ships.
People accuse Rachel of trying to making moves on Percy even when she knew Percy and Annabeth were liking each other.
Percy at that time wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed and he really liked Rachel too.So what's wrong withRachel trying to make a move on Percy?
She also liked him.She wanted him as a romantic partner. So she tried her chance anjd everone's like Omg!!! How dare she !!!
It's not wrong of Rachel to have a crush on some boy who had an interesting undercover life, who was good looking, was nice to her and most importantly, who was not in a relationship.
So ,to sum up ,the fandom is not justified in it's hate of Rachel Elizabeth Dare until it stops shipping the non-canon and ridiculous ships at least.
