A tent that doesn't hold back fear

In a neglected corner of an area threatened by invasion, a small tent stretches across a dusty, uneasy land. It is inhabited by the Siraj family—a father, a mother, three children, and his extended family of 24—who have been displaced six times over the past few years. Each time, they thought it would be their last, but war kept knocking on their door again.

Their last home, which they had built with great hope from scraps of brick and wood, was targeted by the Zionists a year and a half ago in a violent raid. Since then, they have been living in this tent, which offers neither protection against the cold of winter nor the heat of summer, nor does it ward off fear. The area they now reside in is under threat of being stormed at any moment, and the father, Siraj, is unable to sleep at night, worried about his children.

"We want nothing more than to get out of here. We just want to live in safety," the mother says, cradling her little girl close to her chest. The family has tried to flee again, but transportation costs have become an insurmountable obstacle, as they don't even have enough to eat.

Today, the Seraj family appeals to compassionate hearts: Help us move to a safe place. We are not asking for a home, just a way out of danger.

Measuring transportation costs could mean the difference between life and death for a family exhausted by displacement.

im in disbelief at the fact that a lot of folks are simply over palestine. like protests are dwindling down. people are not very interested in news related to gaza. some are simply over it.

israel hasn't let aid in gaza in 70 days. gaza has been starving for 70 days. the condition of people there is horrendous.

i find it distressing to think about children in gaza. how does one continue to have a childhood in a genocide? they don't have school. they don't have safety. they don't have food.

despite all this, the kids will be alright. they'll be alright once the genocide stops and they get back to 'normal'. till then, can we please try to support them however we can?
