Why do they call you difficult when you question what’s wrong, when really you’re just educated?

I used to be suicidal
The biggest struggle of my life was between my body and my mind. Unless you’ve lived with depression, it’s hard to comprehend the difficulty of being with thoughts 24/7. Of being scared of them. They can feel heavy. They can feel dangerous They can feel like a steel door that is too heavy to move.
Then one random day, you might feel the warmth of a sunbeam at just the right moment. You know that feeling? That warm, happy, kind and calm feeling when for just a moment your mind is quiet and you feel genuine happiness? When you can’t help but smile a little?
Remember that feeling. Take a mental picture of that beam of light. Embellish it, add to it, do what you need to do, but don’t forget it. Maybe lock the memory away for safe keeping, but don’t forget it. Because, after you’ve cried all your tears, or you need to lie in bed a bit longer, you can try to unlock it. Imagine the sunlight shining when you need a glimpse of something good, if only for a few moments.
And if that doesn’t work, remember depression lies. Fight back.

Before you hit ‘send’
Are you using bravery, or are you using anger? Is it harder to hurt or show what you truly feel? Are you acting or reacting?  Are you hurting someone, are you hurting yourself, or both?

Silence of Sadness
Ever have those days where you’re just quiet? Your mind is too exhausted to do it’s normal reeling, and your lips seem to be sealed shut. It’s not an unwelcome silence; it’s more like the hangover of excess sorrow. You overdid the thinking, the pleading, the crying...and now there’s only the silence of your sadness.
