Last year I was making a comic about simple beauty and how I was starting to feel better mentally, when I discovered via social media that my rainbow mural had been vandalized (baby’s first hate crime).

Metal dice! This was a fun challenge getting all the colors and details in there, and you can also see I have no discernible method of which part I paint first. After getting the base colors I kind of go in circles around the canvas lol

A great way to practice flow, movement, and musculature is by drawing/painting ballet dancers!!

I really miss my dad. Grief doesn't go away, it just ebbs and flows like waves on the shore. The storm might be over, but every so often there's an unpredictable, large wave that knocks you down. And then you want to stay down because that's where you feel closest to your loved one.

It's hard to let go.

Painting dice is like painting glass and candy at the same time. IT'S SO MUCH FUN and SO TRICKY but I just want to EAT IT
