took a really important test yesterday so obviously I was wondering about the marauders while I should be writing

why does nobody talk about the fact that either they are really rude or the reader isn't really that special on xreader fics. think about it

they profess their love for you, and say that you were always the one for them even tho you never talked. but then why would they notice me for example, in a school so full of people like hogwarts, even tho we never interacted. and I don't know if that's my insecurities talking that I'm just not that interesting, but like??? (ok just reread this and this paragraph is completely lost and I'm not making any sense

so either they are really just friendly with everyone - a foreign concept to me I must admit, my city is known as the rudest on the entire country - and when they say that they never met someone like you, or that you are really important, it may not be that deep

or, they are really rude to anyone else outside their friend group and then you really are special, but then it kinda defeats the whole 'popular' thing going on, and brings me back to how they would even notice you

and now I'm spiraling over this because what if this is what it's like irl as well and I'll never make friends this cool (somebody take away my phone I'm not making any sense

and really thinking about it this applies to so many other 'cool characters'

please somebody give me an outside perspective on this because I obsessed so much over this I think I'm possibly ignoring a lot of other points of view
