Falling in love with a character feels like trying to catch sunlight my hands. It’s warm, it’s beautiful, it fills the spaces I didn’t know were empty and yet… it slips through my fingers every time. It doesn’t stop me from reaching, of course. How could it? They make me feel so alive! Their pain twists in my stomach, their voice lingers in my mind like a song I never want to stop playing. I hold them close in a way that’s both intimate and impossible, and it leaves me hollow in ways I can’t quite name.

Our hearts don’t know the difference. Truly, it doesn’t care that they’re nothing more than ink on paper or colored pixels on a screen. Love doesn’t require clarity to bloom, it only needs a spark. And anyway scientifically, the spark doesn’t know what’s real and what isn’t, right? Our brains are wired for connection, attachment, and it clings to the echoes of something that feels like love. To our minds, this is as real as the warmth of a hand, as real as the quiet of a shared moment. It lights up in the same places it would for someone flesh and bone and breathing beneath the touch of our fingertips

But that’s the tragedy of it, isn’t it? The love we feel is real, yet it has nowhere to go. We can’t reach them. We can’t hear their laugh in the room with us or feel their eyes meet ours in a way that says we are known. And so, we grieve. Quietly. Privately. The kind of grief that doesn’t know how to name itself because it’s not just loss. It’s an ache for something that never truly existed. It lingers, like perfume in an empty room. Knowing our heart is capable of such depth, even if it was never meant to be returned, is bittersweet. Perhaps that’s why it hurts so much, because it’s real for you and me, even when they never can be.

I just smoked like four scoops of keef and then forgot I had my airpods in and was trying really hard to figure out where this lovely classical music was coming from.

That also reminds me one time I smoked a bowl, set my x box controller on the couch next to me with my game still open and my controller vibrated. That cause the cushion I was sitting on to vibrate. I looked around, and looked up at my fiance in shock and went “Did you feel that? Did we just had an earthquake?” one small idiotic conversation later I had realized that it was the controller sitting on the couch next to me. Idk man.

Bakugo Katsuki was loud. Always has been and probably always will be. Usually his volume didn’t bother you. But then again, usually his yelling wasn’t directed at you.

“Can’t you just shut up, for once in your god damn life!?” he screamed. You flinched, but didn’t fold, you were determined to stand your ground.

“Stop yelling at me…” you said, trying to remain calm. Of course he didn’t hear you, and continued on with his little tantrum. Even though you looked composed on the outside, in your head, your thoughts were racing.

How long could you keep this up?

His screeching was really begining to effect you, forcing back memories of your past and family. You were so caught up in your thoughts that you didn’t even realize that Katsuki was now quiet and standing by your side.

“Y/N, hey Y/N, look at me.”

You blinked and stared back at him through dazed eyes. Slowly he wiped something off of your cheek. You glanced at his hand.

Were you crying?

“I’m so sorry, baby… I didn’t mean-” Katsuki started. You cut him off by hugging him tightly.

“Just hold me for now, okay?”

He nodded, it was the least he could do. Later he would make it up to you, but for now, he held you as you quietly cried on his shoulder, feeling the weight of guilt pressing against his chest. He was the one who made you cry, he was the one who brought up all those memories.

Why couldn’t he be the one to shut up for once?
