Indeed it is one of the great pleasures of life to sit with a book in your hand and a cigarette in the other, possibly in bed or on a bench in the park

During nights out with friends, there is a smaller group of people who brave the cold in order to have a cigarette.

Inside there may be loud music, body and food smells, incoherent ramblings; outside there is the silent air of the winter night, crisp and scented with the smoke of Marlboro Lights, and calm conversations which help people come closer together.

As soon as travelling becomes easier, I might just go to Paris and buy a pair of RayBans, a pack of Gauloises and a pair of black Chuck Taylor All Stars.

Actor Maxence Danet-Fauvel projects an aura of gentle masculinity: with leather jackets, biceps and cigarettes but also puppies, books and a gentle smile. There we go again, back to Dylan. No poses, no feigned smoking scenes to evoke some sort of "old school cool" - just a young man with a habit, caught in moments of everyday life.

This picture dates back to February 2012 (many thanks and credits to @smokeandmodels-blog), in fact I can remember the European Marlboro Gold pack of those years, with a thin gold line in the shape of a chevron but still with the black letter name. Circa 2015 would come the "transparent" brand name and a couple of years later the hideous graphic warnings...

I wonder whether the good looking model, Alex Dunstan, still smokes;)
