The Peanut Butter Falcon is an unexpectedly insightful and touching story while also managing to be a wild ride with big stakes and even bigger laughs.
I went into The Peanut Butter Falcon not expecting much, especially considering the title. I did not walk into that theater thinking I’d leave with a new perspective on life – but I did. The Peanut Butter Falcon is a movie with insight. It is a movie with intelligence. But even more than that it’s a movie that is real.
The characters feel real, like you could really meet them out in the world somewhere. As wild as the story does get, you never feel like anything that’s happening on screen is impossible or truly over the top. That’s very important when telling a story like this, maintaining that authenticity so the audience can always be emotionally connected to the story and its characters. The Peanut Butter Falcon did just that to a T.
The first thing that makes The Peanut Butter Falcon feel so authentic is its leading man Zak (Zack Gottsagen). Zak as a character, and as a real person, is someone with Downs Syndrome. You can tell the director trusted his experience and his judgement in communicating what living with Downs is like onto the screen. I don’t feel like Zack was interrupted much while filming this. The movie felt like we were just following around an actual person with the condition and seeing how they think, feel, and interact with the world.
That demonstrates the value and importance many people are placing on having people who have actually experienced something playing that on the big screen. As a viewer, I can’t help but think this movie would not have been the same if it wasn’t for the legitimate emotion and insight Zack was able to bring from the film from his real life experiences as someone living with Downs Syndrome.
Now in that same breath, Tyler (Shia LaBeouf) is another extremely “real” and “authentic” character that I don’t think could of been played to that degree of reality by anybody but LaBeouf. Anyone who knows anything about Shia LaBeouf’s personality and personal life knows that he is a pretty volatile, uncompromising, and if we’re being honest, a person who definitely has their scars and damage.
That is exactly the character he plays in The Peanut Butter Falcon. That’s a big part of this film’s genius – allowing the actor’s real personality and life experience to be a part of the way they portray their characters. It doesn’t always work out, but the casting director and director were both clearly very in sync with what they intended and it worked out beautifully. This film feels tangible, and it has the unadulterated realness of its two stars, and the rest of the cast, to thank for that.
Another genius aspect of The Peanut Butter Falcon would have to be how effortless it all feels. The story meshes laugh out loud funny moments and crazy adventures with practically heart-stopping moments of emotional insight and intimacy. That is not easy to do, and The Peanut Butter Falcon did it with grace. The movie didn’t feel like a comedy or a drama, it just felt like life. That’s what makes it so wonderful to watch.
There’s a lot more I’d love to say about The Peanut Butter Falcon, moments I loved or insights I’ll never forget, but I think that’d be a disservice to you. I went into this movie not knowing much and expecting even less. For a movie as shockingly good as this I really think that’s the way to go. I don’t want to spoil what this movie taught me, how it made me feel, and what it was like to experience it.
The Peanut Butter Falcon is truly unlike most films I’ve seen in years. It is a movie with a big heart and lessons to teach that does so without being heavy handed and obnoxious – in a time where that’s all we seem to get. It is a movie about Down Syndrome that involves crab boats, romance and professional wrestling. It is a movie you have to experience for yourself, so go to theaters today and experience The Peanut Butter Falcon! You won’t regret it.

Swipe right for the poem inspired by @liltunechi and @feliciathegoat as well as my father’s beautiful garden, that adorable rabbit 🐇 and the whole beautiful Sunday God gave me the privilege of experiencing. This video just came together so well when I was randomly listening to music and snapchatting in my backyard, and as I was sitting watching it over and over I knew I had to share it here with all of you. And then I wrote that coresponding piece on the next picture. I really think it’s something special, so funny how things come together so perfectly sometimes; for no reason other than that’s how it went. I love it. As for song Droppin’ Seeds, which is actually more of an interlude on Tyler the Creator’s 4th cut Flower Boy, I’ve always thought it was lit I just never expected this. Let me know what you think and if you want to hear more about how all this came together; or if you want to see more poetry/music collabs like this. #tylerthecreator #lilwayne #rap #hiphop #nature #rapping #naturephotography #naturevideo #music #musicinnature #hereandnow #beauty #beautiful #love #lovinglife #flowerboy #flowers #garden #god #poetry #writing #poets #writers #art #collabaudio #collaboration #fuck #fuckthis #readthis @austinwrites_ (at Glenside, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzYVPVIlUOj/?igshid=oq1igic6yl0t

This is the first blog post I wrote at my new writing position that started around the beginning of June. Swipe right to read the first couple paragraphs of it! I am currently employed by @diamond_formulas as a writer, as well as some marketing work, and I’m having an amazing experience. The company is wonderful, my bosses are so nice and are helping me get a lot of important experience for my future career as a writer, and its been a great experience so far. It feels great to have my abilities as a writer appreciate and valued, and to learn something everyday. Absolutely no complaints! I’d love to sort of start to talk about the work I do professionally as a writer as my career progresses on this page as well as the usual completely passion based poetry and creative writing you’re used to. I hope you enjoy this sort of content and can maybe learn something as I learn, comment below what you think and if you want me to do a more in depth “lesson” or “advice session” about blog writing for companies, inserting information about products into blogs seamlessly, thinking of solid ideas that relate back to your place of business, ect. Anyway here’s the link to my first blog post with @diamond_formulas they posted it on their Tumblr page and I reblogged it so you can all have mine too: https://austinwrites21.tumblr.com/post/185960270662/three-ways-to-love-your-body •••••• #blog #blogwriting #health #nature #natural #healthwriting #naturewriting #blogs #blogpost #blogger #bloggerstyle #bloggerlife #bloggers #bloggersofinstagram #career #careerblogger #writing #writer #poet #poetry #writersofinstagram #writingcommunity #quotes #words #summer #summertime #summerbody #love #beauty @austinwrites_ (at Jenkintown, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzWPJR2lZ9I/?igshid=1iutsckli94l1

Three Ways to LOVE your Body!

Three ways to love your body and mind right before this summer season:
How are you feeling going into this summer season? If you’re anything like me you’re not feeling your absolute best. Tough to put an exact description on it; stressed out, overworked, flat out exhausted. I’m not exactly sure what, but I do know I need a change going into this summer.
So, I did my research and found a bunch of new techniques and regimens that are already changing the way I feel physically – and maybe even more importantly mentally – morning, noon, and night. The change isn’t magical or instantaneous, but if you read through these three ways – and our future blog posts here at Diamond Formulas – I’m sure you and your summer will be that much better off for it.
Get in better shape. First things first, you need that summer body, right? What more useful way would there be to get than Greek god or goddess status? Well, you can’t even begin without a base level of proper exercise. Whether it’s weightlifting, CrossFit, sports, combat sports, or anything else is your choice.
Studies have shown that regular and at least slightly regimented exercise is one of the most essential things a person can do to increase their overall health, quality of life, and lifespan. In my view, working out anything from two to six days a week is fine, as your body permits. I’d say anything more or less gets into the territory of either not enough work for any impact or so much work that it impedes on your progress.
I’d also recommend adding a variety of vitamins and minerals into your daily diet. Get them specifically tailored to your body’s needs, to better your physical health and help reach your fitness goals.
Besides the run of the mill vitamins like a daily vitamin C or D, I’d really recommend finding something specific to your body’s needs. For example, if you’re just now getting into bettering your health after years of going wild and living your best life, many fitness professionals recommend Diamond Etern-L®, which is a comprehensive compound of all-natural vitamins and ingredients specifically formulated to address the aging process.
If you’ve been out there smoking, drinking, or just generally neglecting your health – but this is the summer you finally want to buckle down and change yourself physically – I think things like a workout regimen, daily vitamins and/or anti-aging compounds, and an overall healthier diet and lifestyle are must haves.
Reduce your stress levels. Of course, reducing stress levels is no simple task, and has no single solution. Rather like your psyche, it is multifaceted, and requires the same sort of thinking to be improved. First off, I’d say the psychological benefits in adding in a regime of daily exercise can’t be understated.
You’d be foolish to think any one product or lifestyle change can work properly in making you healthier or happier mentally without first addressing the physical side of things. The same can be said of your overall diet and sleep schedule. Also there are other well-known suggestions, like regular massages, therapy sessions, new hobbies or activities, etc.
Besides the obvious tips, what is often actually understated when it comes to reducing stress and bettering overall mental health would be the impact of imbalances in your body’s chemistry. I’m not claiming changing any one thing or adding any one supplement from or to your daily routine will instantaneously change your mental state, but I can state that these sorts of supplements work, and people use them for a reason.
Now, as I recommended for the vitamin regimen in my research, I’ve found that it is best to tailor any supplements/vitamins to your body’s specific needs. For example, as for fighting stress and going into the upcoming summer rested and relaxed, Diamond Herpanacine suggests a combination of both Healthy Horizons® and Diamond MIND® could really benefit someone on a journey to a healthier mental state. I’d personally really suggest Healthy Horizons, as it’s both a mega multi vitamin in addition to having a complex compound of natural ingredients to fight off stress and anxiety so you’re getting a big portion of your physical and mental supplementary needs from one tablet.
Diamond MIND is targeted mind enhancer made from ingredients that have been used in improving cognitive health, mental quickness, confidence, alertness, and many other aspects of mental acuity. So, depending on your specific mental needs I think both Healthy Horizon and Diamond MIND could greatly change your mental state, emotional outlook, and overall stress level.
Clear up your skin. So, if you’ve followed steps one and two, you’re definitely someone with a god status physique and the mind of Einstein who should be ready to hit the beach with style except for one last thing… your skin. In all honesty, it’s tough to properly describe all the experiences in my life personally and that I’ve seen in the lives of friends and family that have shown me how truly essential healthy skin is to a happy life. The pain and anxiety brought on by having everyone stare at your acne, rash, bumps – whatever it may be – while you’re just trying to enjoy the beach or the boardwalk with your shirt off in the summertime can be difficult to deal with.
As for what helped me personally, when I had really bad acne three changes I made that really made a difference had to be, firstly changing my sheets and pillowcases much more regularly, cleaning my face well then running cold water over after every shower, and finally trying different products and supplements until I found one that worked for me in combination with a cleaner and healthier lifestyle in clearing up my skin.
For any skin problem you have going into this summer season, I wouldn’t recommend anything except Herpanacine Skin Support ® from Diamond Herpanacine. It’s a tried and true skin care dietary supplement, that has been widely used, recommended, and awarded for its success for over 28 years now. In addition to external solutions like face wipes, cold showers, acne lotions, I think internal solutions like Herpanacine Skin Support ® can be the defining factor in making sure that skin problem stays away for good so you can look as good as possible for the summer ahead.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and found the tips beneficial, let me know if you have any suggestions for future topics or if any of these tips helped you love your body and mind a bit better in the comments down below. Thank you for reading, and I hope to see you next time here at

Five essential ways to support your skin this summer season.

Five essential ways to support your skin this summer season:
Use organic, high quality, chemical-free sunscreen to protect your skin. I’d like to think anyone reading this knows how important sunscreen is for healthy skin; in addition to a healthy life. But for anyone who doesn’t know, the CDC and every other reputable health organization recommends sunscreen use to prevent seriously raising your risk of developing skin cancer – depending on the strength of the sun and the length of your exposure. The CDC specifically recommends something (SPF) 15 or higher but personally from what I’ve read I would say (SPF) 30 or higher to be safe.
This is mostly common knowledge, but what I – and I’m sure many of you – am confused about is which sunscreen brand is the healthiest for our skin? How do we find that out? So, in sitting down to write this today I hope to answer this question for you.
The first thing I did was I looked up “What are the best organic high quality chemical free sunscreens on the market in 2019?” After doing some digging, I found what in my opinion is a really great list, based on comprehensive testing and research into each sunscreen brand to find the top 40 on the market. (https://www.skincareox.com/40-best-organic-sunscreens-non-toxic-natural/) I think this is a great source for shopping for a superior sunscreen as well as reading into what makes that sunscreen so much healthier and safer for your skin and body.
Many studies commissioned by the FDA have found that widely used chemical sunscreens (oxybenzone, avobenzone, and octocrylene) are absorbed into the bloodstream at potentially toxic levels after just one day of use. Imagine if you got sunburnt and then go to put on sunblock to prevent further burns and your sunblock has toxic chemicals hurting your precious skin even further? No more! Don’t be like me and just grab any sunscreen that you see on the shelf! No more just going straight for the cheapest! You and your skin are beautiful and are worth a couple more bucks to protect, I promise you.
Don’t forget that your lips need protection. I often neglect my lip care and I’m left with seriously chapped lips, whether it’s in the winter from the cold wind or in the summer from the dry air. Don’t be like me! We have to do better, it’s summer people! I think it’s pretty much universally understood that summer is kissing season and kissing someone with super chapped lips is not the move. (Unless you love them) So get your act together!
I found another great top 40 list and I really hope you can use it, just like I did, to find a perfect organic chemical free lip balm at a reasonable price point. Love your lips right or no one else will! Now, I don’t know about you but the reason I didn’t use sunscreen often in the past is because I felt it was a waste of money and only made my lips even more chapped, and apparently there is some truth to this.
In my research, I discovered that organic lip balms offer the same (if not greater) effectiveness at repairing and protecting your lips as their synthetic equivalents without any of the ingredients like petroleum or alcohol or any potentially cancer-causing agents that could be toxic to the body. You can’t forget that anything you put on your lips ends up in your mouth and eventually in your body. So, remember when it comes to your luscious lips there is no equivalent use an organic chemical free lip balm and protect your lips starting today!
If you get sunburnt be sure to find the purest organic aloe vera to heal your skin. I know I’m not the only one who didn’t listen to my parents’ summer after summer and basically had to bathe in aloe every other night in agony. It was not pleasant and as an adult I use aloe at the slightest sign of redness when I get home from being in the sun, but up until recently I like many others thought all Aloe Vera is made equally. But I was wrong. (https://www.skincareox.com/5-purest-organic-aloe-vera-gels-for-face-skin/)
According to another comprehensive well tested list, top 5 this time, it is very tough to find 100% authentic Aloe Vera that is free of any chemical additives, dyes, or fillers; none of which are good for the healing process the Aloe Vera is supposed to be providing to your skin. For example, some Aloe Vera brands contain Potassium Sorbate and a lot of research has come out to show that for certain skin types that chemical can lead to further skin irritation instead of relief and repair.
I’m going to use that list as a baseline in further research to find the perfect Aloe Vera brand for my specific skin type, I think it’s essential you do the same. Just in case you don’t listen to your parents! Or your significant other! Or anybody else looking out for the safety of your skin this summer besides myself.
Before and after going out in the sun don’t forget to apply quality organic chemical free lotion to your body and face. An article in the Huffington Post, Is Sunscreen More Effective if you Apply it Before or After Moisturizer, found that sunscreen can be more effective in protecting your skin from the sun’s harmful rays if applied after moisturizing properly. Even more so when used within a proper and regular skincare routine.
However, there is some disagreement on whether to moisturize before or after using sunscreen. I say before. Now, the question again is, we know we need to lotion up, but what lotion should we use? How do we avoid the harmful chemicals and needless dyes many brands continue to pump into their products? I personally have found that doing your online research – or letting me do it for you – and finding well recommended lists with well-reviewed products is the way to go. Don’t be afraid to spend a little for the sake of your skin but don’t let them convince you to break the bank. Organic is affordable. (https://www.skincareox.com/best-organic-body-lotions-butters-serums/)
Protect your skin internally year-round in preparation for the summer sun. Everything I’ve talked about so far has been common knowledge. The only issue was finding the right brand with the right quality that our skin deserves. The last point on this list is one that I and I think the great majority of people completely overlook. That is, protecting your skin internally in addition to protecting it externally.
Like I said, I think we all know to use sunblock and lip balm. But did you know that Herpanacine dietary supplements use the finest quality, gluten-free, non-GMO vitamins, herbs, amino acids and antioxidants? They protect your skin year-round from the inside out; when taken daily. I’m happy to say as someone who’s had dry skin off and on throughout my life, after getting hired by Diamond Herpanacine and having the opportunity to read and write about their product Herpanacine Skin Support ® it is definitely something I’m going to be adding to my daily skincare routine and I think you all should as well.
You protect almost everything else in your body with daily dietary vitamins and supplements why doesn’t your beautiful skin deserve that same protection? Find a quality made longstanding chemical free organic product with
Herpanacine Skin Support ® Order today to try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed! (https://www.diamondformulas.com/herpanacine/ By: Austin Gromberg

Wow.
Yes, No, maybe So
Hi. My name is George, and I’m a loser.
(helloooo, George)
It wasn’t always like this.
I once was young and full of promise,
bright, talented, imaginative,
and brimming with that sort of blind
optimism that only young people
have the stupidity to swing around
because they’ve not yet been stopped
and pounded into submission.
And everybody wanted me to succeed.
And everybody knew that I would,
they were sure of it, and so I was sure of it,
and everybody said Yes to me because
I was young, and being young paints you
in some kind of shimmering glow of
destiny that fools even the most hardened
of cynics into believing that perhaps
you really are one of the chosen few,
and I was going to be somebody,
and nobody could stop me,
and then one day it
changed
when suddenly
for no particular reason
everybody started saying No.
As if a great peak had been scaled
and reached, the other side was a downhill
slope leading into a valley filled with No’s,
and I had reached my apex,
and I had begun my decline,
and I didn’t even know it.
But as surely as the sun begins
its backwards arc towards winter,
somewhere in my late twenties,
perhaps it was at the age of thirty,
maybe even that precise midnight
of my birthday at the second hand stroke,
something shifted deep inside the
insidious social transmission of the world,
and began to work against me.
More precisely, it began to work
without me, not actively aggressing
against me, but simply denying me
a place at the table designated solely
for those who are destined for greatness,
and I was slowly being escorted from
the party by unseen hands, and I
didn’t even realize it until I was
halfway to the door.
All because I was old(er),
and when you’re old, that golden
shimmering paint begins to fade,
and everybody starts turning their
wide eyes towards the younger versions
of you on the other side of the room
who are no more bright or talented
or imaginative (nay, even less so)
but who somehow fulfill mankind’s
blind and stupid assumption that
since they are younger, they must
being carrying more promise.
Storing it somewhere in pockets?
hidden in their bulging backpacks?
downloaded into their smartphones
like some instantly accessible app
that activates at the touch of an icon?
I do not see it, and I am not myopic
like the rest, perhaps because I am
not so old as to surrender, and still
young enough to both see the forest
and still climb the trees, and from
where I’m dangling, shouting to
the critical masses to recognize me,
to acknowledge my gifts to the world,
the world will honor the aged only if
the aged had already been honored
when young, carrying their cloak
of celebrity with them into adulthood
like a glittering seal upon their backs.
But if you were unfortunate enough
to take destiny for granted, and you
never managed to grab its slight,
intangible tail, and it gets away,
that heavy window closes forever,
but the view is no less lovely.

An original poem by AustinCT...
6/13/14
"Our words"
Words.
They are powerful, as oceans tides.
They bind the laws to which we abide.
They are used by all to make comments, some snide.
Some, including I, use them to lie.
Others use them to gain power, and fly.
Words are strong.
But just like your life in the grand scheme they don't last very long.
Use your words wisely and right.
Cause it is unknown how many you'll have before you see the light.
You may go tonight.
Fly up or down like a kite.
So before you go, make sure your last words were nice.
If they were not fix them, do not think twice.
Leave those you love with wise words, not those of hate.
Go! Go now! Before it is too late.
