we get to see art and a little background Molly (his twin) in Heaven and she looks about as young as he does. so hear me out: Molly died first.

some freak accident- and she was the only thing keeping him off the ledge. without Molly, Angel quickly spiraled, and within a few days of her death he overdoses and dies.

someone on Reddit brought up the idea of there being other demo-creatures in the Upside Down, so I present you with the absolute nightmare my beautiful mind came up with.

my favorite phrase to learn in other languages is simply "I don't know" because whenever you tell someone you're learning a foreign language the first thing they say is, "can you say something in [insert language here]" and it always goes like this:

"Я не знаю. "

"what does that mean?"

"I dunno."

"no like what does it mean?"

" i don't know."

"what do you mean you don't know?"

"no I do know what that means."

"so what does it mean???"

"... I don't know."

i had this epiphany yesterday. I came home from college late and decided that I wanted to make stir fry. I put some music on in my earbuds because it was late and I needed some company. I was all alone, cooking for myself and later cleaning up the dishes too.

I started dancing around as I was cooking, cleaning as I went, while using a ladel as a microphone. and this thought came to me. I saw myself, maybe a couple years down the road, making this same dish in a new kitchen, except I was cooking and my future husband was doing the dishes. we were both singing the same song, dancing around and happy. then I saw myself about 5,6 years from now- same partner, same kitchen, same dish but dancing with a baby on my hip. then again 10 years from now, making this stir fry for my family with help from my husband while a little toddler was handing me carrots to chop. and again in 15 years, where my kid abandoned their homework for a bit to come dance with us. in 25 years, where I'm teaching this stir fry recipe to my kid before they go off to college. in 40 years, back to stirring the pot of noodles with a baby on my hip, this time my grandchild.

my point is mundane tasks in life are so beautiful. like you can totally look at something like doing laundry or washing dishes as boring and awful because you're gonna be doing that til you die. and yeah that's totally true, but the funky thing about being human is that although you're doing the same tasks, they're gonna get different every time!

maybe today you're only sweeping the floor of your lonely little apartment. but maybe next year you'll be sweeping the same apartment with the same broom, but you're doing it to clean up the fur that your new puppy is shedding and it isn't so lonely anymore. or maybe in five years, you're still using the same broom but sweeping your house, and you're cleaning up confetti from your kid's first birthday. maybe you just shattered your favorite mug- it was time for a new one anyway. or maybe you made a mess of flour because you decided to surprise your partner with their favorite cookies. good or bad, these little tasks are gonna keep changing, and they aren't truly "mundane" when you think about it.

AT au where instead of Betty, it's actually FINN who sacrifices himself and makes the wish with the crown.

I've seen some au's about Simon doing this, but we're forgetting the secret third option I guess?

now obviously, the loss of Finn will have an impact on most, if not all of the citizens of Ooo. but I'd like to think that Finn's intention is to make this wish, not just for the safety of one person, but to keep all of Ooo safe and free from any more chaos. I've seen some shows where the hero "dies" on the end (though in this case, there'd be the idea that he IS still conscious and able to watch over everyone), and honestly it can be a great ending if played right.

here's how it would go down: Finn, Simon, and Betty are being digested by Golb. they're at the point where Betty and Simon have both returned to their sane, pre-Mushroom War selves and are having their reunion. Finn notices that the crown has reset, and also taking notice that he's not being "digested" because he hasn't changed all that much. he realizes that he has the chance to make a wish, make a true difference in Ooo and ensure the peace and safety of all his friends, something that he's clearly wanted through the whole series. he sees how happy Betty and Simon are now that they're reunited, and begins to put on the crown. when the tunnel opens up, he tells Betty and Simon to leave. he gives them some brief things to tell his friends and family on his behalf. he also tells them to finally get married, and to go on with their lives together. (I'd like to think he also, in Finn fashion, jokingly tells them to name their first kid after him :) )

after some coaxing, and tears, they finally give in and leave Golb. Finn makes his wish, which is "I wish for the power to keep Ooo safe", and merges with Golb in the same style Betry did (idk what he'd be called- maybe "Golbfinn"? a silly name kinda like goldfish lol). Jake would be torn, but I feel like he would also be a bit proud of Finn after a bit of grieving. as Finn said in the episode before (in canon), he used to be all about violence. and now, he's keeping the peace.

Gunther still gets the crown in this universe bc that's just funny

in the little Come Along With Me montage, we'd see the other characters rebuilding the tree house, along with the rest of Ooo that had gotten destroyed. I think they would start to worship Finn actually, he would become the hero that everyone would tell stories about, the stuff of legends. we'd also get to see the Petrigrof wedding! it also flashes forward to about a year or so later, we see that they do, in fact have a kid. a little girl named Fionna, who grows into her namesake and becomes hero- material herself.

had a dream last night that I went to go get gas at my local station and if you use debit card there there's like a 100 buck checking minimum and apparently I didn't meet that in my dream so it declined and instead of saying like "Card Declined, please try again!" or something it just said "Declined, get fucked lol" and I laughed so hard I woke myself up

fun fact about me: I didn't know that Our Flag Means Death was a thing until long after it came out BUT I knew that Steed and Ed existed and had a thing for each other. this couple I followed on tiktok did a cosplay and I was like omg cool. but ya wanna know the real kicker? you wanna know what I thought these two were ACTUALLY from?

I thought that Steed and Ed were the pirate AU versions of Steve and Eddie.
