if anyone cares according to the timeline I made for my Breagan fic, their daughter was born 3 days ago (May 30th 2025). welcome to the world Phoebe!

so, in light of this occasion, im giving you my Breagan as parents headcanons. this will be a long one.

let's start from the beginning

they find out at the same time- Brett is immediately ecstatic! Reagan is a bit in shock, but still excited.

pregnant Reagan is moody as HELL. cries more times than she probably had in the rest of her life. then gets angry that she's crying so much, then cries more about that.

Brett coaxes Reagan into trying that pre-natal yoga, which she enjoys more than she'll ever admit

the two buy almost EVERY parenting/ pregnancy/ baby book out there. Reagan because she's anxious she'll screw something up, and Brett because "we've gotta be prepared!", although he's worried about the same thing for himself.

Reagan, in the first trimester, can barely be around poor Glenn because of his pungent fish smell. Somehow, he's still oblivious.

Gigi is naturally the first to suspect something is off. She's about to confront them, when she overhears Brett and Reagan talking about how to tell the Gang, and she decides to play dumb.

they tell the team in a really cute way. the Gang is rounded up for a "weekly meeting" where Reagan and Brett announce that the gang will be "getting a new member!" Reagan says that the process for bringing them here will be long, tiring, nauseating, and painful at the end- for her, anyway. Brett then says that they don't know much about this "new member" yet, but they do have a picture! they pull up the sonogram and everyone goes WILD

even though they're pretty sure the baby is a girl, Brett and Reagan let Gigi plan the shower and gender reveal. Reagan makes a point to say that no rivers will be dyed and no forests will be burnt.

they video chat Rand in Shadow Prison to tell him the news. Reagan expected him to laugh or make some comment, but instead he was pretty excited and asked for another video chat to meet her when she's born. Tamiko was over the moon- although of course with a comment like "oh I thought you would never give me grandkids!"- and wants to be called "Glam-ma". Reagan said absolutely not, so the two settled on "Nana"

Brett told his family at the Ranking of the Hand Children, and thought his dad would be proud that he was bringing in the first grandchild (besides Muffy). his father only complained that the baby was a girl so couldn't "pass on the Hand name", and to Reagan's surprise Brett stood up for himself, saying that he was proud of his own family and that was enough. afterwards, Brett's sister came to offer her support. (what can I say, I feel like she'd come around)

Brett was the most helpful husband through the whole pregnancy- sometimes a bit too helpful. Reagan got annoyed that he would never just let her complain and respond with "I'm sorry, that sucks." and she recruited the Gang to talk to him instead to spare his feelings (they just wanted her to stop complaining to them)

the dogs would not leave her side, and Brett has many photos of them laying next to a sleeping Reagan

Reagan goes on bed rest (as she calls it, "house arrest") for a few days towards the end of her pregnancy, where Brett teaches her how to crochet. she makes the baby's first blanket, it's not perfect but he finds it ADORABLE

Phoebe Hand is born at Bohemian Grove, a little less than 2 weeks early. Brett was the chosen competitor in the Pain Games, but tries to insist that they stay home. Reagan refuses, but has had suspicious, strong back pains for the past few days (but keeps it a secret, seeing how hard Brett had been training to compete). her water breaks during the games, and the gang rushes into action, pulling Brett out to go help her. Cognito's medical team is called to the scene, but healthy little Phoebe makes her appearance before they do!

Reagan is declared the winner of the Pain Games by the large group of shadow world members hearing her screams from outside the tent.

Andre, being the only "doctor" present, helped deliver Phoebe. he erased his memory shortly after and only knows that he helped somehow

Gigi is Phoebe's godmother and Andre is her godfather. this was part of Brett and Reagan's secret plot to get the two of them together. it worked eventually

she's met Glenn's daughters and the oldest is on the list of babysitters. they adore her but don't get to see her often

Myc, despite trying to act all cool, loves Phoebe as well. at first he'll deny it, but eventually he just gives up. when she gets older she likes to hang off his tentacles and climb on top of his head

Gigi is the cool aunt and primary babysitter. she's the first person they even let babysit Phoebe, after Gigi convinces the two of them to have a date night.

Brett is a very anxious, by-the-book parent. his phone is full of pictures of Phoebe and he pretty quickly becomes the person you don't want to ask about his kid because he'll keep you for hours.

Reagan was nervous about not being "motherly". but the second Phoebe was born, she gained a Mama Bear instinct to a scary degree. mess with her daughter and you are IMMEDIATELY banished to shadow prison.

Brett makes up silly songs that Reagan didn't want to join at first because her singing voice "would just make the baby cry more". she was eventually convinced and turns out without a karaoke mic and stereo system, she's not all THAT bad

Brett also makes puppets for Phoebe

her first word was "mama", but "dada" came shortly after

anyways that's my ramble. if you made it this far, marry me.

Updated Breagan Timeline from my fic!

first off ok so nobody's guessed the names so I'll give them to ya

(lowkey inspired by what I want to name my kids bc I was out of ideas but it WORKED)

the girl's name is Phoebe! there's two hints in the fic for this one. The biggest hint was her nickname, Bumble-bee! this part did come from my own life, sorta. I had a dream a bit back that I was in a quiet, bee themed nursery rocking a little baby girl, thus where my OWN love of the name Phoebe came from. :) the other hint was when AB is suggesting baby names and throws out names of Friends characters!

the little baby boy is named Isaac. I feel like out of the two, Brett is the bigger sitcom fan so he'd probably weigh in more for Phoebe, but this one would be all Reagan! named after Sir Isaac Newton, obviously, whose clone has a large role in Cognito's "Cospiracies that 'Defy' Physics" department. there really are no new great physicists out there, just heavily disguised Sir Isaac Netwon clones.

ALSO: some changes to the timeline. everything else not listed is the same!

April- May 2024: Brett tries to propose to Reagan numerous times but chickens out/ fails miserably. Reagan catches on and SHE initiates the cute and intimate proposal by mid May (think Monica and Chandler)

June 18th 2024 (listen it's in the Hirschaverse, okay): BREAGAN WEDDING!!!

Early October 2024- find out about baby #1 (Phoebe!)!! also id imagine they'd tell the Gang before the end of the month, especially since they'd wonder why Reagan wasn't drinking at the Cognito Inc halloween party.

(stuff between stays the same)

*void out the Valentine's day one bc mathematically that wouldn't make sense*

April 14th, 2027: Reagan's birthday, but she's feeling pretty sick.... SURPRISE! baby no2 is on the way!

December 3rd, 2027: little baby Isaac is born!

I wanna continue my Breagan fic ("You Can Be Happy Later" on ao3) SOOOO bad but like I don't know how??

so instead I'll just give the rough timeline that I made for myself in Google docs as I was writing the fic. and then idk from there suggest what you want me to write!

TIMELINE:

Nov 2022 (a week after pt 2)--------chapter 4 (first flashback)

March 2023—-- chapter 1, start of fic

April 2023 (up until the 13th; day before reagan’s canon b day)----- end of fic, confession and cutesy stuff

May 2023—-- they tell the Gang, who are not at all surprised bc theyre not being too discrete lol

June-July 2024—------ Brett tries numerous times to propose elaborately but chickens out/ something goes wrong. Reagan catches on, and he eventually asked her in the cutest, simple and intimate way :)

Early September 2024 (idk probably Brett’s canon birthday lol)------- oop! preggers with baby 1

October 2024—--- BREAGAN WEDDING!!! also find out about baby 1! (idk why but I can see Reagan finding out DAY OF the wedding)

March 2025—---- 1st timeline view takes place. maybe write an epilogue that's just this scene in real time??

May 30th, 2025—---- Daughter is born! adorable. don't know why but I can see this being at Bohemian Grove. maybe the baby is early or something? would be funny, Reagan would be crowned winner of the Pain Games undoubtedly

Early December 2025—-- Christmas decorating scene that almost makes Reagan cry in chapter 3

Feb 14th 2027—---- things get *steamy*, lead to baby no. 2!

April 14th 2027—---- Reags’ b day but not feeling too well…. surprise! baby #2

November 11th 2027—--- son is born! how cute! probably in a normal hospital n stuff but takes longer than baby 1

April 14th 2028—---- Reagan’s birthday! the birthday morning scene that Brett and Reagan see in the Holo-Chamber; ft the cassette

oh 1000%. I'm all for the trope of "two people from shitty families get together and create the loving family they never had"

I can definitely say I've cried to a breagan story twice, I absolutely agree that Brett and Reagan would definitely make sure their kid had a better childhood. Going where the kid wanted to go, a health dose the normal. If there was a season 2 I know both Reagan and Brett would grow even closer and just get together and keep growing as humans. They are my comfort, and they deserve so much love in the world, I can already see them living life and having kids.

back on my helluva boss bs but WOW that new episode was good (SPOILER WARNING!)

I've heard people discussing the pregnancy plot line and here's my take on it: I think it'd be cute.

Millie did NOT cheat, for sure. her line kf work is dangerous and she was probably freaking out because of that. I don't know exactly which way they'll go but my best guess, since it's in the season finale, is that they'll keep the baby.

for a lot of the series we've seen Moxxie as the anxious one while Millie is his "rock". but Moxxie had since had a lot of development- I mean obviously he'll probably freak out at first, but I'd like to see the roles reverse and have Millie be vulnerable while Moxxie is her support. I think it'll show a whole new side to her too, which was a point of ghostfuckers because we know she was insecure about only being seen as a "brute".

one other thing: I don't think they'll go with this.... but it'd be interesting to make it twins. could also help other stories progress too, since Blitzo is a twin. the last time he reached out to his sister, he hadn't had nearly as much development as he has now. i feel like a big plot of s3 will be trying to reconnect with family, and maybe seeing M&M with twins might push Blitzo to give it another try.

just the epilogue to go, but I've finally wrapped up the main story of my Breagan fic!

I'm really proud of this chapter- LOT of fluff and we finally get some good closure! it was a nice challenge to write but I feel like the dialogue ended up pretty natural. leave a nice comment if you enjoyed it, and be on the lookout for the epilogue!!

this was a good one!! we've finally got The Gang (briefly!), especially Gigi. I feel like she's the best voice of reason for Brett especially, and she was fun to write. only two more chapters to go, I'm gonna miss writing about these two 🥺

I did use different names for the two of them though and gave them a different age gap (I think?). there's 2 hints to the little girl's name in there, but the boy is named after a famous scientist 🙃 I won't reveal yet but if you have guesses send em over haha
