head cannon time!
So today's head cannons are about the Chokers/Spike bracelet thingy because it's kinda like a hierarchy shown in with it
The stuff will be in the image descriptions
I'm just gonna refer to them as spikes
They usually get fitted for the spikes at least once a year if they're done growing just to ensure the wearer is comfortable.
Anyway thx for reading, I don’t care if you use this headcanon, just be sure to credit me if you talk about it

I had this idea a loooong time ago except the original punchline was that Alhaitham would go on a rant about why Kaveh is Peak Attractive Man but him simply refusing to elaborate whatsoever is both more in-character AND infinitely funnier

I’ve seen this a few times, but just now I considered that maybe, Shadow Milk might’ve intended to do the same thing when he got corrupted.
Like, I imagine most likely case would be to try get Burning Spice back to being the thing of change, so he starts trying to act like he agrees with him, but at the time, his philosophy about knowledge was to question the ideas and intents of what he was shown, which over time, begins to spin words of truth and deceit.
And by the time he realized, it was far, far too late to undo what his followers listened to, so to cover the guilt up he committed to the bit, most likely driven by said guilt and loneliness, which the loneliness probably was from being so high that most cookies felt it wouldn’t be fair to SMilk to talk or spend time with them specifically.
so, to have what could be considered his successor do what he had intended to do in the beginning of his web, for Pure Vanilla to commit completely to the deceit and be able to read what made Smilk to who he was, for his successor to complete what he was never able to… it becomes clear why Smilk responded the way he did
I CANNOT stress enough about the fact that Kr PV's choice of words are so good that it emotionally manipulated Smilk into thinking he has the upper hand. Instead of using the pronoun "we" in "We are meant to be together" like the En translations, he used along the lines of "I was meant to be yours." Iirc blah blah blah then Smilk believed that and shouted "YES! YOU ARE MINE!!!" Skip a couple of lines, Smilk started saying "We will be unstoppable!"<- HE DOESN'T KNOW. And then the Light of Truth shows up, and PV Awakens.
OF FUCKING COURSE PV knows how to manipulate someone because he's a KING. He KNOWS how power blinds someone and uses that to his advantage to go under Smilk's mask without noticing. Pv is such a good fucking actor what the fuck.

WHAT THE HECK IS SO HARD IN UNDERSTANDING THAT
Furina + Focalors (Divinity) = HYDRO ARCHON
TELL ME WHY, why, are there people still arguing that Focalors CREATED Furina, why are there still Genshin fans arguing in literally every archon post that Furina was never one (including her life before Focalors split them), and there are people even saying that Furina is supposed to be a child of Focalors .
GODDAMN and y'all wanted a skip button when the most basic information is misinterpreted by illiterates.

It's not even subtle. Focalors (Divinity) literally said that she SPLIT herself, which basically means that she and Furina used to be a WHOLE.
Did y'all skipped your fractions lesson????

oki oki so!
this became a long post… Fontaine spoilers ahead! hopefully this makes sense
about 500 years before the player gets to Fontaine the hydro archon(archon being used mostly interchangeably with “god”) Egeria had been deemed granting a major sin to her people by making them humans with the world’s primordial seawater, since they were all originally oceanids (creatures of pure water), so they kill off Egeria after making her choose her successor(I think) but after that choice all the remaining oceanids dispersed, unwilling to listen to Focalors rule.
before Focalors was chosen, a prophecy was created by the Heavenly Principles, the main point being “The people will all be dissolved into water, and only the Hydro Archon will remain, weeping on her throne. Only then will the sins of the people of Fontaine be washed away.”, after Focalors had ascended to the hydro archon, she began to think of a way to avoid the prophecy and save what was now her people, eventually coming to realize that she needed to deceive the heavenly principles.
So, she decides to split her divinity and her humanity/soul, naming her humanity “Furina” and instructing her to play the role of a god without being one herself for as long as it took, while Furina played her part, Focalors wouldn’t give her much help as that would ruin the plan, she had also created a device known as the Oratrice Mechanique de Analyse Cardinale, which would begin gathering energy in preparation for the grand trial that would free Furina of her curse that never allowed her to age, but never allowed her to find joy as long as Focalors lived.
Focalors also made sure to bring the Hydro Dragon to fontaine, as it would be very important for her plan.
At first at Furina’s accession ceremony, she had acted natural, being kind, gentle and soft spoken, but that generated distrust among the Fontainians, so in quick thinking, she pretended to be confident and began to be dramatic, which made the people believe that she was their archon, so she kept at it, at first finding it to be not too bad, just a little exhausting, but as the years passed, it began to wear down on her internally, to the point that about 499 years into the role, she hadn’t noticed that she began to cry while meeting with a Fontainian, though brushing it off in front of them as an overflow of hydro, stating it to be kind of inevitable as a being presiding over water.
then, the traveler arrives, and this is the part we play through within the game that eventually became making a way to bring Furina herself to trial, as it happens, the player manages to expose Furina as being just a human, causing her to break down and for us to realize we had continued the prophecy along by putting her to trial, as the prophecy did state before the flood that her people would bring her to trial, Furina begins to break down silently, falling onto her seat as the verdict for her crimes was given “the hydro archon will be punished via execution”, shocking everyone.
within the panic, both the traveler and Neuvillette(the hydro dragon) get taken to different places, the traveler goes to Furina’s inner world where they learn her history as the supposed archon, and Neuvillette goes within the Oratrice Mechanique de Analyse cardinale, meeting Focalors for the first and last time as she explains her plan, needing Neuvillette to become familiar and endeared to the fontainians so that once he obtained his full dragonhood, he can absolve Fontaine for its sin, which after her execution with the energy she had stored, Neuvillette does just that.
as the traveler and Neuvillette return at the same time, they go to settle the matter with a narwhal that came from the abyss, one of the main causes to the flood, and by the time they finish, almost all of Fontaine is saved, and Furina leaves the opera house just as the flood had ended, drawn to the sound of people celebrating the fact the prophecy was wrong.
Though, upon gaining her newfound freedom, Furina fell into depression as she didn’t have anything else to do and believed that the others had gained resentment to her for deceiving them, though eventually(pretty quickly as it seems) she gets invited to an event where she realizes that with the freedom she has no need to be in solitude now, “returning” to her former, cheerful/dramatic self, though knowing properly when to pull back into being gentle.
bonus points if they got a jester/clown or royalty motif to them

adding onto this that I just thought of for Furina’s case
being the “Archon” you could only do so much with the news coverage every action of yours would take, meaning that she couldn’t be too risky, both because she was just a human and also because her people would get suspicious and/or start to doubt her as the true archon. So she couldn’t do the same things her people did and that also leaves her decently isolated, since I imagine most people didn’t want to incur the consequences of injuring a archon.
(tbh idk if this addition even makes sense)
I think there has to be a kind of problem with my kins right now…
Currently, I kin Furina from Genshin Impact, Tsukasa Tenma from Project Sekai and Sonic the Hedgehog who’s self explanatory. I’m also considering Toya Aoyagi as a kin but I’m still unsure.
anyways, these three (four?) have two things in common: They believe themselves to be second choices and they’re willing to put others first more than themselves.
Furina is a peculiar piece of this because it’s easy to say that she isn’t anyone’s second choice, she was the face of Fontaine for years after all, but that isn’t Furina, that’s Focalors, that’s the persona she made up for the role of an archon she never knew. When most people in Fontaine think of Furina they think of that persona and not Furina herself, even she doesn’t think herself when she remembers her life.
And it’s that life she played, those 500 years of a very demanding role, that she demonstrates her undying love for Fontaine and humanity, which I would say was naturally imbedded into her since her creation because of that whole “Focalors is Furina as Furina is Focalors” thing. Furina was willing to take a risk of a role she could not see the ending of and possibly fail just for the chance that the same people who were as human as she was would still continue on.
meanwhile Tsukasa Tenma is a more simpler case, having a very ill sister means it wasn’t easy having his parents attention, so he usually up the antics, but he too carries so much love for everyone around him so he doesn’t become mean or a bully, but he tries to be a beacon of joy and support, even insisting(maybe?) on his parents focus on Saki and that he’ll be fine.
Tsukasa held onto this mental promise to bring joy to everyone until his need for comfort and attention took over and changed his will to become a star from “making others happy” to “being the best, being the first choice”. Although he comes to remember the true reason why he wanted to become a star, that doesn’t exactly erase the feeling of needing to be the first choice, of needing to be valued, and I imagine this feeling is what drove him in his Pheonix event. (I know it’s kind of explicitly stated in the event story but it rounds out the post in my mind)
and then Sonic T. Hedgehog, honestly, he’s one of the cases where you assume you know everything about him but then you’re asked something about him that you realize you don’t actually know.
Anyways, Sonic does have pretty common cases of putting others needs above his own, just look at Frontiers and the Metal Virus arc, where he avoids showing his struggles to his friends because he’s supposed to be the carefree comfort guy, sure he knows that he can depend on his friends, but that doesn’t ease the situation any more than the situation not happening would.
And he acts undisturbed by being a second choice, always go with your first choice since they bring out the best in you, but it hurts inside him because even as a kid he was always second choice. And in the classic days, he was more harsher and less dependent on his friends, if we’re going with classic classic days, because he felt like he shouldn’t bother with anyone if he was just going to stay as second choice, though by then the gang had brought a period of… not silence(?) and after consideration he figured that being second choice was better than the deafening silence of loneliness.
