Goddd I love Rick and Morty’s dynamic so much

Talking about ricks fear for a second!! because I love fear no mort episode so much

wanna start with Rick being scared of showing love! with morty,,, [NOT A SHIP. I can’t believe I have to say this]

Rick DOES love morty, he does in so many ways that others don't really see it as "normal”

I was thinking of a theory, Rick being scared to outright say he loves ANYONE specifically morty, because last time he said he loved someone they were brown up into smithereens RIGHT INFRONT OF HIM.

In the fear no mort episode, when morty talks to the "hole guy" he talks about how Rick's real fear is being happy, maybe that is because last time he was happy he got fucked over (meaning the love of his life and his beloved daughter died right infront of him)

he is afraid of being happy with morty, scared that if he says "I love you, morty" morty might die and he will never be able to heal him, to fix him like he did the other times,

yeah he heals morty when morty “kills” himself but maybe in rick’s mind if he never never outright say i love you morty! morty wont die

he is scared of if he shows love or care, morty might die like diane, that is why he thinks “if I show care, he might die”

Maybe rick sees his care and love as a curse, that is why he doesn’t say it to people he genuinely likes

for the love of god let's please normalize periods. it will do SO much for our future generations to unlearn shame, it'll help them know soo much more about their cycle and systems. it's not weird to mention you have period cravings. it's not weird to talk about periods in public. you don't have to be ashamed of walking out of the store holding pads or tampons. you don't have to hide your used products under tissue in the trash can. it's not weird to have to wear adult diapers because your flow is so heavy. it's not weird to be grumpy or sad on your period. you shouldn't feel ashamed about talking about your period if you're transgender. it's not weird to crave different foods or be hungrier than usual. you don't have to call it "that time of the month", "the rag", or "shark week". it's your period. so many mothers teach their children that periods are shameful and not to be talked about, and so many fathers know absolutely nothing about periods. if you bleed through your clothes, you do not have to hide it or feel embarrassed.

period and cycle shame is misogyny and it's one of the deepest embedded examples of misogyny in society. leviticus 18:19 "Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period." the bible, one of the most religiously followed books, even further pushes the "periods are impure" agenda. (so much more than just this one verse.)

and we don't just need to teach girls about periods. everyone should learn about periods!!! even if someone's already an adult, it's never ever too late to learn. cisgender men don't understand periods and that results in disgust. genitalia and reproductive systems in general are already taboo and "disgusting" topics, but periods are 10x more taboo solely because of misogyny. please, don't feel ashamed about your period. around 26% of the population is DFAB and reproductive age, about 1.8 million people. you're not alone.
