I’ll use another oil than olive oil, I think, cause its smell is too strong
Make your own floral and herbal oils!
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is NOT a recipe for an edible extract or an oil to use in cooking or baking! Be smart, and only use your oil in spells or as a perfume/supplement to your baths, etc.
What you’ll need:
~A mortar and pestle. Don’t fret if you don’t have these! You can use a spoon and a glass bowl, your fingers, etc. as a substitute.
~A cup of your chosen plant’s petals or leaves. Fresh is preferable, but dried works too. However, your oil may need to heat for longer, and you may need more than a cup of your ingredient for the smell to be strong.
~¾ths of a cup olive oil.
~A jar or glass container with a lid that’s heat-safe.
~A saucepan or pot, filled halfway with warm/heated water.
~Cheesecloth, or something else to strain the oil through.
~A tinted jar to store the final product in.
~Time and patience! (24 hours or more, depending on your discretion.)
This is a simple recipe that is great for a witch who can’t always have fresh ingredients like roses or lavender on hand, and it can be used in a lot of creative ways to infuse your daily life with your favorite scent! It also keeps for a long time, so if you have troubles storing your ingredients, perhaps working with oil might suit you better. Steps under the cut!

Magickal Uses of Honeysuckle
Planetary Association: Jupiter
Elemental Association: Earth
Gender: Masculine
Magickal Uses: Honeysuckle - devoted love - said to protect your garden from evil. It is known as the ‘love bind’ - symbolizing a lover’s embrace in its clinging growing habits. The heady fragrance of the flowers was believed to induce dreams of love and passion. If the bloom is brought into the house a wedding is said to follow within the year. The honeysuckle’s berries are poisonous.

How To Make Black Salt.
Now I know you are asking yourself. ” Christian Witch…Why would I need black salt when Supernatural shows us that plain salt is just fine?”
Well, Let me Explain.
Black Salt is normally used to banish or drive away negative things. It can be used to protect your home and garden area by sprinkling it around the property line. To protect from things general getting in your house you can put Black Salt in the corners of the room or across the door step. It is also used to remove negative spells that have been cast on a person. In general, Salt itself is a great purifying agent. Black Salt is more about protection and the banishment of all things negative.
Now that we know what is does, Let me show you how to make it.
You can use anything dry that has a black tone. Charcoal, Ashes, Scrapings from your cauldron/cast iron bowl or skillet, even Pepper is often used.
I used the charcoal i salvaged from the Litha Bonfire for an extra dose of light in the darkness.

I also used my small little cast iron cauldron as my mortar for the mixing.

The Salt I used was just plain table salt, but if you want to you can get all fancy with the sea salt and what not.

Once you have gathered you ingredients, it is time to grind the ingredient you chose to turn your salt black.

Now this can take a while and you need to make sure to watch out for the dust that comes up from these…It can choke you pretty bad. The Charcoal gave a LOVELY crunching sound and really took the edge off of my frustration with certain people. Then i kept repeating “grind their bones to make my bread”. I had a weird moment.

Once ground to the way you like it you add about double the amount in salt.

Now for the fun part. While thinking about all the ways you need to be protected, mix the ingredients until there is no white left.

TADA! You have made your very own Black Salt. Now…Lets bottle this protective amazingness! Again. At this point the dust that comes off will choke you so fast its not even funny.

Also I need to warn that when putting in places be ready to get your hands dirty.

Once it is bottled and ready you can use it for just about anything you need done in the protective world.

Create and Enjoy!

What happens to a spirit if their vessel breaks?
Nothing happens, a vessel is like a GPS for them to find you easier! If a vessel breaks you should go to whomever did the binding and let them know right away! They will usually redo the binding on a different object for you!

Things I wish someone would’ve told me before I started working with crystals
1. There is no one correct way to use crystals. You could use them to help you meditate. You can use them to bring a specific type of energy into your space or your body or your spirit. You can use them in place of something on an altar (for example, my apartment doesn’t let me use candles so I use pyrite to represent fire when I work). You could carry them around with you to attract something. You can use them however you see fit.
2. You may connect with one type of crystal and not at all with another type. You will hear a lot of people tell you that “____ is a great crystal for beginners because everyone can work with this” and that’s BS. You may not feel connected to a certain type of crystal AT ALL. AND THAT’S OK! Personal example, I had read somewhere that a good crystal for students was fluorite, so I went out and got a fluorite. I didn’t connect with fluorite whatsoever. It didn’t sync up with me, and so I hardly ever use it. On the other hand, the first time I ever picked up a smoky quartz I just KNEW it was for me. I deeply resonate with smoky quartz still to this day.
3. You may connect with one SPECIFIC crystal, and not at all with a different crystal of the same kind. And, again, that’s ok. Certain crystals will just call out to you more than others.
4. Certain crystals will want to be used for certain purposes. I have a crystal that is specifically used for headaches. I tried using it for other things and it just felt weird. The only purpose I felt at ease using that crystal was for headaches. Your intuition will help you with figuring out how crystals want to be used.
5. If you can’t feel crystal energies from the get-go, that’s ok. Keep working at it and don’t give up. It comes more naturally to some. I was one of those people who didn’t really feel it much to begin with, except for smoky quartz. I had to train myself to do so, and once you get into that state where you can feel the energies, it will be so exciting. When you feel it, you’ll know.
If anyone wants to add to this, feel free to do so! This is based off of personal experience, so if anyone has had different experiences and wants to add those too, have at it!
