King's Game Ep2 This episode has deepen my anticipation for the rest of the series so much happened in just 20 minutes, we see Kanazawa re-visit his experience playing the King's Game and how he started to lose friends right from the get go, after explaining to his current peers that rejecting the King's order will lead to death, we also see a change in personality in Honda she's become quite predatorial pushing for one of her peers to wish death onto Kanazawa, supposedly for almost letting her die since he initially refused to kiss her for the King's order. Black Clover Ep1-2 I always love an underdog cliché, the main protag initially has no amasing talent or ability that out shines any other characters with said abilities, but gets an ability or power that gives them an upperhand you see this in so many anime like, Naruto, My Hero Academia, Highschool DxD, JoJo Part 1, Kill la Kill, and Re:ZERO, the reason I'm referencing these anime is because an audience will always relate to the underdogs in some way or form which generally makes the audience fall in love with the show to some degree. But... I don't feel like this rule of thumb applies to this anime for me, I feel no love or relation to the main character Asta, I'm not saying he is a bad character I'm saying that I can't find much sympathy for him, sure it's sad that he is an orphan and lives in a world where everyone has a power that he doesn't have or can't use very well, making him a laughing stock, but other anime have done it better like My Hero Academia, and Naruto. I admit I'm being a bit unfair to the character only after 2 episodes and I hope the series proves me wrong because I want to enjoy the anime I watch, because even horrible anime (not calling this anime horrible) have things you can take away from it that you're glad to experience. The Ancient Magus' Bride: Those Awaiting a Star This little series definitely watered my eyes, the first episode was really hard to watch after seeing Chise being treated like a burden right after experiencing the horror of losing her mother, this was getting to me quickly, kids are not always kind or sweet which shows in these episodes they can be so mean and spiteful seeing the child Chise getting abused by these kids was hard to watch, I was glad to know that the hardships got her in a place with friendly faces at the end though, and that her journey led to meeting the magician of the forest who helped guide Chise through her hardtime of being alone. King's Game Ep1 Holy shit is this anime filled with some gore which is exactly my cup of tea. This anime resembles Another! to me but at the same time doesn't hide too much from the audience in the first episode. The show is straight forward with its premise, don't follow the rules and you die, simple no? I can't wait to see how Kanazawa handles yet another King's game, will he survive? Neo Yokio Ep1-3 Netflix's Neo Yokio is an interesting watch to say the least I was already skeptical at the thought of anime on Netflix especially dubbed but I don't find the voices too much of an issue and to my surprise I actually find Jaden Smith and Jude Law quite refreshing to hear. Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma I went into this show blind without any prior knowledge on the account that I was bored and had no other anime to watch on Crunchyroll. Unbelievable this show crushed my initial expectations after the first episode I assumed the show was going to boring and without any charm I am glad I was wrong.
