Hi! I'm fan of Yuri on Ice too, but I was expecting you can recommend some animes similar or maybe that do you like it. Yuri on Ice is basically, the first and unique anime that I've seen. So, it was a pleasure if you have some suggestions.

So sorry for the delayed reply! If Yuri!!! On Ice is your first ever anime, I might be biased when saying that it's an incredible anime and that personally after having consumed anime for all my life (my mom used to watch Candy Candy /an anime from the 70's that a local network in my country did re-runs in the early 90s/ with me, and that was when I was like 2) can say confidently that I can't really compare it to other animes. However, I have some in mind that you could really enjoy: - The Apothecary Diaries (highly recommend!) - Fruits Basket (highly recommend!) - Nana - Cherry Magic! - Sasaki and Miyano -Tada Never Falls In Love - Saber Marionette - My Love Story With Yamada-Kun - The ancient Magus Bride - Wolf's Rain - Your Lie In April - Orange - Kaguya-Sama: Love is war - Given - Frieren - Ouran Host Club - Your Name (It's a movie, but a must watch) - Escaflowne: A Girl in Gaea (A movie, but incredible) These are some animes that I think fit the feel of YoI (except some really deep ones like Nana, Orange or Your Lie in April but those are beautiful!) and I can think of many more titles but I think are not the vibe/themes you're looking for - but if someone has some more recs, please drop them below.

have you read the kunogi haryuki novel adaptations under the victuuri tag?

I've read chapters of 'Turning', and I think I got to chapter 55 (I just checked) and it's super cool that it's adapting a korean novel/webtoon. I happen to love that content too, so I found it surprising and incredible.

After these comments that very respectfully approached them, and quoting this 'published author', I kindly suggest the Yuri!!! On Ice fandom (and in general) that you don't enjoy 'the ride' and 'this scene' to please don't go and read this stolen work.

Also, how about we walk about the tone of these replies from the 'author'? The audacity of how this person 'suggest' people to shut up. Wow. And on a side note, comments are restricted. Again...wow.

Today I refreshed the Viktuuri tag on ao3 -because yes, I always have it open- to look for the new fic one of my favorite YoI authors just updated, and saw one with this tag.

This is my first time seeing it myself.

And yes...it was jarring, discomforting and overall, well, don't know how to feel about it.

Only that I have really strong opinions, and after skimming through it fast, it made me even more uncomfortable. Why? Because it all could read as the works of a human writer. Which makes it worse.And even if it has the tag on, makes me even more sad and uncomfortable that is alongside the works of recently published works of people who I know have poured so much of their love, free time and energy into their stories.

On my end, have been taking with philosophy how my YoI works were scrapped from Ao3 *which I found out last weekend* by changing my mindset, trying to focus on keep on writing, creating and supporting. But seeing this and thinking that it had not only been my works, but also the works of other YoI fanfic authors (friends and talented people I admire) were also scrapped and now there is this in the tag... well, leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth.

I know, I know there is an audience for everyone.

And I always try to support our YoI community...but this I won't support.

What does everyone else think about it? How are we feeling?
