I went through my page and made it ✨️asthetic. Here's some of the assets I made :)

I made sure to check that they looked good with every color palette on tumblr. I think they looked the best paired with the queer one and the goth rave one XD

This was super fun!!!! I redesigned my persona to be modeled after what I looked like in an animated movie I was planning to make.

The old meet the artist drawing looked like this:

The colors weren't right, there was too much mess, the drawing just wasnt great, and a lot of it was redundant since I added links in the new one. However, I do miss my glasses. They cluttered my face too much on the new design.

Before the Anger— episode 75, "Student Party, Finally! (pt. 2)"

Achievement unlocked: mention the CORE!

Wow! Drawing these backgrounds was so much fun! I tried out a different kind of style, with some hatching. I also changed the texture overlay, but I'm gonna bring the old one back lol. I can't say I didn't try something new, tho!

What IS the royal employee system? Well, each department has different rules, the departments being: royal guard; royal sciences; royal weathering (which has been mentioned briefly); and royal caretaking (not yet relevant, but will be in season 2).

For our purposes, royal sciences is the only truly relevant department. The roles in order of most importance are; the King (obviously. He can order anyone around lol). Head of the Royal Sciences Department (HRSD), which is often shortened to just "head". This is Gaster's role. Handmen, often shortened to just "hands". This is Siqua and Alphys's role. They are trusted and established scientists (usually two) who help the head, but can also perform independent studies. Below them are various Assistants, who are also established scientists, but mainly perform the behind the scenes science. Interns are in the process of becoming scientists.

Majority of Royal students become assistants. Either that, or they work in outside labs, which occasionally catch some of the overflow work from the castle.

((After what felt like an eternity, Alphys and Dr. Gaster finally reached the end of the hallway. In front of them was a door, simply labeled “Dr. Archer: Handman”. The door opened, and as Alphys braced herself for the struggles of social interaction, her worries suddenly disappeared. The door revealed the most beautiful woman she's ever seen.))

I've been really enjoying animation recently!!! I did some animation tests on this new program (hipaint)

The first is some kind of squishy human kid frisk thing? Aka my favorite thing to draw. They look... Distressed?? Idk i was coming up with the movements on the spot

The second is a Papyrus walk cycle, which I have been needing to make for a long time, but I put a little obstacle in his way. for funsies.

These are very crude and sketchy, but that's kind of how my animations look for now. Maybe one day when I'm more experienced I can make it look cleaner, but as a super amateur, layers and stuff just piss me off more than anything XD

I have specifically been animation little squishy kids. Its fun and easy, ok?

Before the Anger— interlude, "Catty and Bratty!!!"

Mwahhahaha! So evil gossip yeah..

This interlude would take place in between the time skip in episode 72. Alphys would get home, think about what Siqua said about "friends growing apart", and visit.

As previously mentioned (and somehow a major plotpoint in UA), Alphys really likes hair. And when I was thinking about how to add Catty and Bratty, I realized that HEY THEY HAVE HAIR. That makes so many possible ideas; it gives them something to bond over, maybe that's how they met, cuz lets be honest they are so different. But I like to imagine that they were more similar when Alphys was younger. Maybe she was even a scene kid too? 😭❤

I think that Alphys is the older one of the group, more like a leader (in her own way, of course). I might make a part two of this one, showing the "gossip party" cuz it shows their dynamics pretty well.

The color importance of BTA

As we know, Alphys’s signature color is green based of this post, but why? With all the other characters except a very important one have their signature color on their color palette, or at least a color close to it. It’s a thematic choice.

In the story so far, we are givin hints that Chara was the one who implemented a kill or be kill ideology after the massacre. Also, if you notice, Charas signature color is red, but wears green apart from the massacre then the red pops up in the weapons ;) Green and Red are opposite colors.

Since Alphys signature color is green, it’s like a way of telling the audience that she’s against the blood of killing monsters, she’s proud of that, she stands up for herself about being a proud pacifist, standing up for herself and not giving into the new monsters ideology of a kill or be killed world most likely directed by Charas Breakdown. (Sure I believe they are other pacifists, but Alphys is the main character XD)

This came to me after wondering why Alphys signature color was green instead of yellow or brown, sure I probably should’ve clicked the pieces together sooner, but better late then never XD

Last night I was feeling intense undertale 2016 nostalgia, so i decided to stay up late making traditional art.

For this one, i was mimicking a style of comic me and my brother were constantly making, where we would fold a paper in half and make four-panel funnies. Like seriously, we made hundreds of them.

The addition of chica was based off of the constant cross-overs we made. Also, the spelling mistakes LMAO

This next one is more serious. All my friends were making these little booklet things and wrote eight-panel tragic emo backstories in 2016. Incredibly juicy. Very fun.

While playing undertale, i came up with a theory about frisk where they were similar to flowey (being soulless). My reasoning being that frisk can reset, which is a unique ability. Although my theory was immediately disproven, i thought it could make for a good tragic backstory. It would also explain frisk being mistaken for the first fallen child. Cuz... its their empty husk of a body 😅

This was SUPER fun to do!! You should do it, too! I was listening to all the music I was listening to back then, and I really felt like I had travelled back in time lol

BTA comic dubs!?

Yeah, after talking about it forever, i finally decided to take matters into my own hands and just freaking do it!!

Somebody commented on my WEBTOON, asking how BTA has so little following. I was like, yeah good question! Maybe I should be promoting it more! Its been a year now, I'm clearly not doing enough lol

So i decided to promote it on yt shorts. Thats how I found a lot of good comics. And I really like voice acting! This was very fun to do. However, it was on a whim, and some character's VAs may change. Instead of, y'know, just me by myself XD

Before the Anger— episode 74, "Student Party, Finally! (pt.1)"

The marks on the shadow isn't meant to be clear, btw. Just so you don't sit there thinking "wtf why dont I get it" for too long. There is meaning behind it, though!

I love drawing and designing and wearing dresses so much, I wish Alphys could have actually wore it 😭 but hey, they are in the classic coats for the first time since that halloween episode. They are wearing the coats, btw, so that the student can tell who is the authority.

This is the first time Alphys and Gaster have seen each other since the... Incident. Hence, the backing away.

I named this plotline "Student Party, Finally!" Due to the two other plots building up to this. I'm gonna try to make it worth all of the foreshadowing lol.

((It had been years since Alphys stepped into a lab. Her hands trembled in anticipation: an odd mix of excitement and nervousness. But, that was for later. For now, she followed Dr. Gaster down the winding hallway. A silent man, he is. Hasn't spoken at all.))

I redesigned BTA Sans and Papyrus's older designs!

What changed? Only small things, but I think it makes a big difference.

Sans: instead of his jacket magically growing with him, now his jacket has visible adjustments; widened seams, lengthened sleeves, patches. Its also more aged; the zipper being replaced with toggles, the draw strings are completely gone, and the fluff is more tattered. I also think the inner lining was redone. Physically, I just made him more round to blend nicer with his younger versions. I gave his undershirt two stripes because, well, he's still just 16.

Papyrus: he's very similar, but I gave him Gaster's old jacket... but it seems like he's burned the ends to make it cropped? I'm planning on making our little guy a pyromanic LOL. Oh, and now he has a scarf, cuz whats a Papyrus without a scarf? (Joking, there's actually a reason but we'll get there) Physically, I made him longer and generally more... Papyrus-y? Other than that, just minor color adjustments.

Guys I'm seriously thinking about giving Papyrus a gold tooth. Maybe that's stepping into the dark side Idk lmao, I dont want him looking too edgy, but also... Wouldn't it be sooo in character for him to have a freaking gold tooth!? Constant bragging rights!

This honestly probably could have been an actual episode, but I'm trying to move the plotline a little quicker and interludes really help with that.

Why did Sans fall asleep? What's up with the coffee? Why is Gaster always drinking it?

I made little sketches of the brothers after realizing how touch starved I am. Living vicariously! Dont worry, I'm wholesomely going out with my girl on friday, I will be fine. Just withdrawls XD

I really wanted to screw around with colors and I had a lot of fun! I was watching undertale AU comic dubs while drawing this, and It was paradise. Oh, and it was 3AM, I feel like that's important to understanding the vibe.

Have there ever been any rare moments where Gaster has been nice or soft with either of the kids? Like if one of them got hurt or something? Or does he really just fully hate his own kids.

As much as I would love to draw some very sweet break of character, most of Gaster's "softness" was when they were younger. He's... changed over time. Nowadays, at least with Papyrus, the softest Gaster will get is just general tolerating. With Sans however, he's a little different; he home schools Sans, and sometimes they actually get along nicely!

Things are just very complicated between Papyrus and Gaster. I just want to adopt him 😭❤

I wouldn't say he HATES his kids... He's just... a really bad person...

Also, the idea that Papyrus could build an entire working car is very impressive. And Gaster calls him stupid!

Too bad a vehicle made by kids can’t exactly run on its own. Pain: 0 Progress: 0 (I’m not even sure if they know what vehicles are.)

I made this immediately after reading this new episode.

My family never done this but I’ve seen videos where people would tie the tooth to the car somehow and they would drive. Was it safe? Probably not. Was it effective? I’m not sure! Also I was going to draw a tractor, then I remembered that’s complicated and I’m just doing this as a joke XD. This car was designed by the great papyrus! Why didn’t he account that Sans has little legs? You wouldn’t understand;)

Honestly if Papyrus wants that tooth out, just make him eat an apple!

Before the Anger— episode 73, "A Dazzling Grin!"

This is the second time we've mentioned Papyrus's tooth (remember, I said it would come up again? Well, its gonna come up again. Strange amount of plot relevance attached to this inconsequential tooth). He is nine or ten atm, so he should have the majority of his permanent teeth by this point, yet his lateral incisor remains stubborn. But most importantly, why does Gaster care so much??

For the crudely titled "pain montage", I could really only come up with the top two, but I swore there were more stereotypical there-are-definitely-less-invasive-ways-to-pull-out-teeth methods that I wasn't remembering, so I searched it up. Apparently tying a dog treat to the end of a string tied to the tooth was a real thing? I thought it fit pretty well with Papyrus lol. Sans definitely did that without his knowledge.

Sans is Papyrus's silent companion. He kinda seems like he doesn't care, yet he indulges in all of Papyrus's antics. There's a lot of silent love between them, and that's incredibly difficult to write 😅

All of these details! They are so good! I like how Undyne looks like she's rearing back to slap Payrus XD and how Sans is slightly hidden. Its a nice touch.

Its so warm and inviting, even with Gaster sulking in the background. Even the person in the window gets to be a part of it! I really feel like when I'm looking at this, I'm a part of a celebration :)

Putting BTA on tumblr was a decision I wasn't sure about at first; I wasn't sure if I wanted to put in the effort to post twice and catch up. But its a decison I'm so happy I've made. On webtoon (i hate webtoon btw) nothing ever got seen unless I posted every day, and even then, it wasn't as fulfilling. I have such an incredibly hard time comprehending the fact that what I create can have a impact on people. I would spend hours meticulously creating every detail of my characters, thinking nobody would ever see it, or at the very most they'd forget about it as soon as it left the screen.

BTA is one of those weird stories that, yknow the author is always like "it really helped me in my time of need" and I used to be like yeah sure whatever. But I get it now. BTA has helped me. I get to explore other people's psychology as well as my own, and learning so much about child psychology really helped me figure things out about myself. But also, its just a really fun story lol. This year has gone by in a flash, what they say, "time flies when you're having fun!"

A party at Siquas house? :) Why are the celebrating? Uh, I don’t know but that cake looks yummy! It’s a fun fetti cake with vanilla frosting that’s colored with food coloring:3.

Either way, most of the Gang is here!

* Siqua and Alphys both baked the cake together (Alphys should’ve prepared for the mess, but she mostly focused on the actually pre baking stuff while Siqua also helped but mostly doing stuff for the decoration’s!)

* Gaster probably got paid to be there

* Undyne and Papyrus are most likely going to destroy the kitchen fighting

* And Sans is trying to read in peace.

Sounds like an average party to me!

BTA has been such a refreshing AU for me. I love pretty much everything about it, The characters, The dialogue, The art, the colors, I really love the colors especially in these most recent episodes. I instantly fell in love when I saw it on my feed. I love the Psychology and the hints of why people do the things they do. The story so far feels perfectly paced (without having to wait a week, obviously since that would feel like things are being dragged out Xd) I have to say again, I LOVE the writing and dialogue. Because there’s always something to why a person says something even if we don’t find out about it until a later episode. It doesn’t get forgotten or half baked, and as an inspiring writer, I want to also to do that. (Sure it’ll still probably take me a while but practice makes progress!)
