iii. buni's glow up guide !

disclaimer: remember that you are beautiful the way you are and you do not need to glow up. this post is just a guide to elevating your lifestyle so that you can continue to grow into an even more confident individual <3

i. reduce your screen time: i know. i know what you're thinking- "but how?" i get it. honestly i am also addicted to my phone, but in order to build healthier habits, you have to start small. avoid being on your phone an hour before you sleep and an hour after you wake up. avoid watching something while you eat, and instead be mindful of the food that is going into your body. this way, slowly, over time, you'll find that you won't reach for your phone anymore! reduced screen time will help you give more time to your hobbies and family time. it will help you clear your head and if you tend to feel overstimulated, it's a great way to detox.

ii. practice kindness: practice kindness to others as well as yourself. spreading love and peace doesn't mean you'll have less of it. in fact, spreading joy is one of the most fulfilling things to do. practice positive self talk and go easy on yourself. it takes zero effort to be nice to people and be considerate, because you never know what someone is going through. remember that everyone (including you) is human and there's no shame in making mistakes.

iii. set boundaries: it's important to be kind and accommodating to those around you, but you must remember not to let people take advantage of this kindness. decide what your boundaries are, and don't ever hesitate to speak up if someone crosses these boundaries. remember that no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

iv. exercise regularly: a lot of people view exercise just as a way to lose weight, but it is so much more than that. it's a way to keep your body healthy and functioning to it's fullest capacity. exercising regularly ensures that you have less health issues in old age which will allow you to enjoy life without stressing about your health. there are so many different ways to exercise, and just 20 minutes every day can go a long way. it is also known for improving your mood and maintaining energy levels throughout the day.

v. eat healthy: okay, i'm not telling you to become a rabbit and eat salads for every meal. when i say 'eat healthy' means making sure that every meal nourishes your body and provides the right nutrients for you. try to reduce fried and processed foods from your diet, and avoid eating too much sugar. of course, it's completely okay to eat it in moderation to satisfy your cravings once in a while. another thing that will help you to eat healthier is to eat well during meals to avoid mindless snacking.

vi. self-care: now, i know that there are so many mixed opinions on self-care on the internet, but self care looks different for everybody. some ways of taking care of yourself are- reading your favorite book, listening to your favorite album, taking afternoon naps, journaling, watching your comfort movie, spending time alone and not socializing or even taking a long shower to clear your head. my advice would be to find what works for you and take time out of the week to take care of yourself.

vii. believe in yourself: this is the most important out of all these tips. i cannot stress enough how crucial it is to have faith in yourself. it comes from trust in yourself and believe that everything will work out in the end. this is a great way to manifest your dream life.

isn't it crazy how i can NEVER study in school (like on campus) it's so ironic because school is a place to learn and study, and yet?? i can never focus. like i have midterms from this monday and i'm staying home tomorrow so i can study. it just baffles me sometimes istg.

"Megumi, hold still." you said firmly, positioning his head in front of you. it was the 6th time that he had moved it, almost turning himself blind in the process.

"i am trying to," he replied with a sigh, opening his eyes wide to let you work and focus. he didn't know why it was that he agreed to it but here he was complying with your instructions.

he had thought it would be easier, seeing how you always did it so fast but unfortunately it didnt work out that way for him.

“don’t move now, okay?” you whispered, focusing on the task at hand. his lashes were too gorgeous not to do this. 'This' aka applying mascara on him.

you don't know how you managed to convince him or how you ended up like this but you were excited. It was as if you had won the lottery. You’d always admired his lashes; they were ridiculously long, framing his gorgeous green eyes in a way that felt almost unfair. and now, with him so close, you were finally indulging in a silly little daydream you'd had for ages.

you put the wand inside the bottle, turning it around a bit to collect the product before pulling it out. you were using a clear gel mascara instead of the coloured one because you didn't want visible lumps.

"here i go," you said, touching the brush to his eyelashes that were trembling slightly but were more still than before. he's too adorable

you softly lifted his eyelashes with it, moving them upwards carefully. your attention to the task was undivided, with anything barely making you lose focus, all the while Megumi's attention was on you.

it wasn't everyday that he got to see you up so close for so long when you weren't distracting him or yourself. he was admiring you, like he always did but this time closely.

his eyes followed your movement without blinking, committing your little quirks to his heart... the way your teeth were softly holding the corner of your lip, the way your eyebrows were furrowing intensely as your breath came out in a gentle rhythm... just everything about you in that moment.

he observed you as a strand of your hair fell on your face, making you look more beautiful than he was okay with, making his cheeks grow warmer and redder. thank god you weren't looking at them.

he was suddenly awfully aware of how you were sitting on his lap while his back rested against the headboard of his bed. something about the position making it all the more intimate and terrifying for Megumi. he wanted to hold you closer and never let go.

"Gumi?" you asked, noticing his silence and growing concerned. did something happen?

"hmm," he whispered, still out of it but replying to your call as if on instinct.

"you okay?" you ask, shifting backwards a little to see his face better. it was unusually red.

"Oh? huh, yeah. yeah i am" he said, catching himself before he embarrassed himself further... but when he saw your worried gaze and that cute little reaction, he couldn't help but smile.

"what?" you asked, amused and curious at the same time as your gaze flickered between his eyes. the green of his eyes was your favourite colour, you noted.

"nothing," he continued smiling, his voice low.

"oh yeah? then why are you smiling?" you said, closing the mascara and keeping it aside before wrapping your arms around his neck.

"because."

"because..?"

"just because."

he slowly moved his arms to wrap them around your waist, playing with the fabric of your shirt as he gazed at your face. the smile still prominent.

you stared back at him and when you figured that he wasn't gonna say anything, you sighed. such a menace.

"you know its actually unfair how your eyes are so beautiful." you remarked. having green eyes was already rare and with the little blue and golden flecks in them... it was just breathtaking.

"oh? are they?" his heart jumping at the compliment which he didn't show

"yeah! they are the most gorgeous eyes i have ever seen as a matter of fact."

"i dont agree though, i've seen better." he shrugged. he had seen better, way better actually.

"thats impossible." you challenged, a dead panned look on your face cause there was no way anybody had prettier eyes than his. Gojo sensei's were pretty but not this pretty.

"it isn't."

you looked at him incredelously, he could be very stubborn sometimes. a lot of times honestly.

"you don't wanna know who's?"

"i will disagree you know, no matter what ehat you say."

"its yours."

surprisingly, you weren't expecting that at all... you were totally not expecting megumi to go all soft on you like this on a random afternoon

"very funny, my eyes are very normal and simple."

"thats because you haven't seen them like i see them."

oh... it was such a simple sentence and yet it made your entire existence erupt in a fireworks. a crimson blush appearing on your face as your eyes went wide while all you could do was stare at him, mouth agape.

perhaps it was the fact that it was Megumi saying it, that made your heart flutter or perhaps it was the sincerity of those words that caught you off guard but you were truly and utterly ecstatic at that.

"what has taken over you Mr. Fushiguro?" you ask with a soft chuckle, playing with the hair at his nape.

he liked the sound of that, especially because it fell from your lips in your voice... just like honey.

"i just really love you." he mused making your entire being turn into butterflies.

"oh really?" you asked, pushing a lock of his black hair away from his face.

he nodded, eyes drooping a bit as they flickered to your lips.

you grinned, leaning towards him to capture his lips in a heartwarming kiss. soft and meaningful with silent promises that only you two knew.

as you pulled away, resting your forehead against his, you chuckled a bit. for a moment, Megumi’s hand lingered at your back, like he wasn’t ready to let you go just yet. he was trying to memorize this feeling... the warmth in his chest, the softness of your lips, and how right it all felt.

“i should put mascara on your pretty face more often,” you whispered, your voice light but eyes full of affection.

“mhmm, you should,” he murmured, smiling softly as he pulled you in for another kiss, deeper this time, like he wanted to keep this closeness forever.

a/n: idk ya'll i just was gonna write about putting mascara on him but i got carried away and wrote this, i love it so much rkdjrkjfi. like its one of my fav works i have written tbh. ordinary people doing extraordinary things

i was rewatching the le sserafim documentaries, and i realized that le sserafim is a group that feels so close to my heart.

le sserafim's image is such that they aren't afraid to show a more vulnerable side to them, and that's what makes them so relatable. what i love most about le sserafim is that their stories are just so real and their connection with fans is something that i've never seen other groups replicate. showing that the members are just normal people who have dreams and struggle and hurt just like the rest of us really humanizes the members. one of the things that i feel like the public isn't able to understand about le sserafim is that the reason that they're so loved is because they're not your typical superstars who only show their victories. there have been times when le sserafim hasn't been able to meet the expectations set for them, and that, for me, is what makes me want to root for them even more.

another thing is that i really agree with everything that le sserafim stands for. looking closely into their lyrics, they talk about topics that no one in kpop has brought up. individuality, fearlessness, being able to bounce back after a breakdown are all things that resonate with me. i really hope that le sserafim can continue to grow and produce content that feels right to them. their creative process is so refreshing to watch and i wish nothing but success for them.

i recently started watching love next door, and seokryu's storyline really touched my heart. first of all, her character is so well written and it's rare to see female leads that have so much depth. her terminal illness arc is what brought tears to my eyes because as an eldest daughter myself, i know exactly what it feels like to go through difficult times and not being able to tell your family because you feel ashamed of yourself. throughout her life, she had this "perfect all rounder golden child" image that she had to maintain and her parents never acknowledged the amount of hard work she put in. being the second choice for your parents and watching them prioritize your younger sibling is a horrible feeling and it makes you feel like complete garbage. her not being able to tell her family about her illness was a direct result of their neglect and mistreatment. overall, i think jung somin had portrayed her character so well and i couldn't imagine anyone else as bae seokryu <3 being an eldest daughter is honestly no less than a full time job and her character also brought a sense of comfort to me as i realized it was a universal experience.
