"maybe i should've stayed at home."

the e/c eyed man grumbled to himself. leaning against the wall near the back of the club, he toyed with his phone without reason. he wasn't one to go to these kinds of stuffy clubs, but his boyfriend begged for them to go together.

god, he really needed to learn how to ignore tooru's puppy eyes.

deciding to just drink to pass the time, y/n weaved his way through the dense crowd with his mind set on the bar. he had long given up on trying to find oikawa ever since he had slipped away from him.

and the previous five times.

settling down with a glass of whiskey, y/n decided to observe the suffocating area of the dance floor. it seemed as if the bass from the speakers were vibrating the back of his skull, and in his casual observation, his eyes locked on his boyfriend that he (surprisingly) was able to find in the crowd.

there he was, pressed between two grinning men. it was clear that tooru was intoxicated, not blackout drunk but enough to muddle his senses. downing the rest of his drink and paying a tip, y/n slowly sauntered his way to his boyfriend muttering spologies along the way.

as he approached the group, he could faintly hear his love talking to them even though he didn't know them.

"hey you two! have you seen someone this tall? he's my boyfriend!" he held his hand to about where your head would be and smiled to the group. the men gave a smirk to each other, trapping oikawa between them.

"no we haven't, but we can give you a better time than your little boyfriend could. whaddya say doll?"

oikawa gave his head an adamant shake, a slight pout adorning his features.

"nothing can replace my y/n! he's the best, and i don't want you!"

his words brought a smile to y/n's face, making this hellish place a little bit better. deciding to reveal himself to tooru he slowly snaked an arm around his waist and pulled him close.

the chocolate-haired man turned to face y/n ready to push him off, but his face brightened when he realized it was the one he was looking for.

"y/n!! there you are!" oikawa wrapped his arms around him shoving his face into the crook of the other's neck.

"hey baby, how are you holding up? you drink too much?" y/n gently asked the man, patting his back. when he didn't get an answer, he sighed and faced the men observing the two of them.

"thank you for offering to 'take care' of my boyfriend, but he's satisfied with me. have a good night you two."

y/n quickly picked up oikawa and weaved through the crowd, mind set on getting to an exit. as he reached the door, his boyfriend spoke up.

"y/n, can you take care of me?"

giving him a smirk, y/n pushed the door open pulling oikawa along with him.

"yes love, but you'll have to wait until we get home."
