If prince Eric was a fisher instead of a prince and Ariel was trying to get his attention/spend more time with him and save her fish friends as well
Character Idea
“Stop it,” they snapped at the merfolk. “I make my living catching fish, not you! This is the third time. You’re insufferable.”

I’ve been wanting to do this since forever. I’ve always found the antagonists of a story more interesting and sometimes even more relatable. Definitely on my to write list.
Writing Challenge
Write a story told from the POV of the bad guy, who never tries to justify their evil deeds or make it seem like they’re doing the right thing. Make the readers hate the good guy, the one trying to stop the MC.

I absolutely love the psychology of colors. It’s actually what started my interest in psychology. It’s so freaking cool and useful because people can utilize it everywhere.

Generate Thursday 1
Genre: Horror Words: route, grateful, pitch, eagle, sculpture Note: I’m not one for horror, and I’ve also been fighting food poisoning, so this probably isn’t the best work I’ve done before.
The route I take is a familiar and unwanted one. Two decades ago, I left this town to escape the unimaginable terrors that haunted me. Now, I return because what once tormented me has now died.
Parking at my old house, I stepped out of my sleek, smooth sports car and breathe in the stale, dusty air. “I’m back momma.” I let out a dark chuckle as I remembered what happened every time I said those words when I was young.
Whenever I would return home from school, I would hesitantly call out those words with a shaky voice. On good days, momma wouldn’t even spare me a glance. On bad days, I’d enter my bedroom with a couple of new bruises. On horrible days, pain would twist around my whole body as she threw object after object and insults after insults at me.
I wouldn’t have said those words at all, but not saying them would lead to even worst things.
The first time I hadn’t said it, momma didn’t even know I was home until she opened my bedroom door and saw me sitting at the desk doing my homework. A look of surprise had flitted over her face before murderous rage settled in. I cowered before her, but she said nothing and only slammed the door.
It was only later, when the world outside was pitch black, that I knew how angry she was. I had fallen asleep when she jerked me out of bed by my hair. She grabbed my throat with her cold, icy hands and shook me until spots danced around my eyes and my ears rang. When I started clawing at her arms, desperate for air, she dropped me only to aim a kick into my stomach.
Moaning in pain, I could only watch through half shut eyes as she paced around my room angrily. She said something I couldn’t hear, and when I didn’t respond, she grabbed me by my hair once more and hoisted me up as she screamed. Spittle flew across my face, and I could hear a high pitch noise.
It was only when she slapped me across my face that I realized that the noise came from me. Without another word, she grabbed my legs and began dragging me out of my room. Recognizing the manic glint in her eyes, I kicked out frantically. However, my weaken legs did not deter her, and she dragged me down the hall to where the punishment closet was. The closet was mostly filled with a sculpture of an angel. I was supposed to confess my wrongdoings to the cold stone until momma thought I was forgiven.
Usually, momma only left me there for a few hours or a day at the most.
That time, she left me there for four days. Every two hours, she would slide the garden hose and two stale crackers through the door crack.
By the time I was released from the punishment closet, I never forgot to say “I’m home momma” ever again.
When I turned 18, I ran from the town, swearing I would be free as an eagle and never return. However, as momma’s only child, I was forced to make an appearance at her funeral. None of the townspeople knew about the atrocious acts she committed. She was always quick with excuses and who would ever expect a sweet nurse to do such a thing?
A few hours later, I stood at the funeral home. Ahead was the casket that held my mother.
“I’m so sorry for your loss.” My distant aunt came up to me. She was the one who had contacted me. “She was such a wonderful person.”
“I’m grateful for your condolences.” I automatically mumbled as I stared at the casket.
“It’s been so long since you’ve seen her. Do you want some time alone to say your final goodbyes? Your mother had requested a closed casket service in her will, but I’m sure we can open the casket for her only child.” Thinking to myself, I nodded. I needed the closure. My aunt stepped up and pushed the lid of the casket back. “I’ll give you a few minutes alone.”
Steeling myself, I walked up and gazed inside the coffin. With her face all relaxed, I realized this was the first time I had seen her look so peaceful. “Momma, I’m home.” I mockingly said before turning away.
“Welcome home.” A horrifying cackle rang through the room, and I whirled back in terror to see momma reaching up. “So glad you could make it to your funeral.”
It turns out, a punishment casket is a hundred times worse than a punishment closet.

Hello!
I’m Caelan Scott.
Right now, I’m an undergrad student trying to get my BS in psychology. Writing is one of my loves in this world. I write when I can, but as an undergrad student, I don’t particularly have time write a lot or to do anything with my writings.
So, to let my words see the light of day, I’ve decided to start a blog. I hope I’ll be able to write more and grow as a writer with this blog.
Anyways, just wanted to say hello for now!
