can i just say how genuinely beautiful it is when there’s media about something terrible happening or a devastating event and then a love song plays in a foreign language? like kill bill. a woman is literally murdering people with her super awesome sword skills and then you hear “que benitos ojos tienes, debajo de esas dos cejas,” and all those beautiful lyrics to Malagueña Salerosa, which is a song about a guy being in love with this woman, but he’s too poor to do anything extravagant for her, and he’s sad that she won’t go out with him. and narcos. a true story, a dramatized docuseries about drug cartels, and the intro song, Tuyo, is about a man who wishes to have this woman, but he’s afraid to jump too far into the relationship too fast because he doesn’t want to scare her away. the singer goes from “soy el fuego que arde tu piel, soy al agua que mata tu sed,” which are more gentle lyrics and symbolic of what she means to him, to “la garganta que ansio mojar, que temo ahogar de amor,” a way more passionate sort of line, and i can’t continue to put into words how gorgeous these songs sound, how lovely they are, and how incredible they make me feel. that’s it !! thank you for reading my nonsense can you tell how much i love these songs aughhh

ok hot take: the gotg holiday special wasn’t terrible,,,however i think the whole kevin bacon thing was weird. the idea of it in the trailer and stuff was funny but we had no context and thought everyone was in on it. in the actual thing, it was funny at first, but then when they were in the ship on their way back to knowhere (spelling?) is where i sort of drew the line. draw and mantis are a great duo and it was definitely hilarious to see them interact in ways they hadn’t before this, but the way they didn’t even know he was an actor??? idk man,,,but i did really like it !!! i thought it was hilarious and i laughed a lot. however??? i can sort of understand how ppl (my grandma) got bored with it after a while

wow i guess i got someone getting revenge/justice for literally all of the udakus dying… i feel so bad for sheri but she really made great choices and i’m so so so happy wakanda forever ended the way it did. it was an amazing movie, i loved it and it lived up to all my expectations as a little tiny geek it all made me so happy

i need a new marvel show and not just any marvel show but a “day in the life” kinda thing. i need kids running up to ant man while he’s in the middle of grocery shopping and asking him for pictures. i need more old cap and peggy content. i need banner learning tiktok dances out of spite simply because he constantly gets called cringe. i need sam wilson being accepted by the world as captain america, and kids looking up to him because “they will never let a black man be captain america” made me really sad and remember that racists exist >:( i need more king valkyrie and her going on the town meeting up with her people (and finding love???). i need more of axl and sif battle training. i need strange and wong teaching america the ropes of sorcery. please im begging you russos, mr raimi, mr waititi, etc., make more slice of life content its so fun :)))))
