hate when people think the only archetype possible for a male sidekick to a female protagonist is a soft boi and/or himbo. like the implication there is that the only reason a man would ever defer to a woman’s authority is if he was a bumbling idiot. love male supporting characters who are smart and strong and confident and can step up when necessary but still kind and humble enough to let someone else take the lead most of the time

I blame John. That magical fucker could have caused this. I didn't even give him a bad chapter this time! It was a fun chapter! No demons or fights or deaths, just punk music and homosexual undertones!

New chapter is finally up! I know it's been a while. I chose what has to be one of the worst points in time to graduate and the job hunt has been going bad which has lead to me having the Big Sad for a while. But I've got a part-time job that's helping. So I'm getting back into writing some more. Hopefully more stuff will be updating again soon. It's going to take a little to get back into the swing of things, but I'm getting there.

Some talk about sex in this chapter.

New chapter so soon! Shocking, I know. It won't last forever. I was just excited to get this chapter out.

Help decide what work you want me to post next

I have a lot of drafts in my documents. But I told myself that I wouldn't post any more multichapter fics until they were done so you wouldn't have to wait months for me to update because life happened. So, I thought I would give you guys some options of which ones you might want to see the light of day sooner.

These options are ones that are closer to being completed, this is not all of my drafts, just the ones I can conceivably finish sooner (theoretically). Some of these are multi-chapter fics, some are one, maybe two shots.

New chapter! Finally! It's only been 4 months. But I have now finished my master's degree so I'm not drowning in thesis work and have writing time.

Anyways, enjoy the chapter. It's a nice break from the angst.

Update

I made a new years resolution to update all of my wips. So everyone that's been waiting forever for the next chapter of Occultural Differences, I haven't forgotten about you.

On a similar note, I was supposed to have a chapter of Red and Blue are Hero Colors out today, but my editor still hasn't looked at it despite me bugging them. But there is a chapter that will be out soon! I think I've gotten over the slump I was in with that fic specifically.

I also have some other stuff I'm working on that will be coming out at some point. I have some theoretically one-shot wips and a couple multi-chapter fics, though I'm not going to start posting those until they're done so they don't end up in hiatus hell. Less waiting for you guys and less stress for me.

Might do a poll to see which of those wips you guys are most interested in seeing first.

!New Fic! - Familial Connections

This fic has actually been out for a few days, but as the authors were only unveiled recently, I didn't do an announcement until now. It was part of the BatPham server's Secret Santa this year.

Summary:

Dick had a younger brother. His name was Tim. His little baby brother Tim. But after their parents died, they were separated, and Dick didn't know what happened to his little brother. When he was finally able to look for him, months later after being taken in by Bruce, he only seemed to hit roadblocks. Wherever his brother was, Dick didn't know. And he wasn't exactly sure how to find him.

Tim had always longed to fly. But as the heir to Drake Industries, that wasn't exactly something he could do. No, he had to be a good little boy, polite and proper, just what his parents expected. But when his parents weren't home, when no one was looking, he could follow the two people who really could fly: Batman and Robin. It didn't really matter that Tim would never be able to fly himself, he could watch Robin fly and that would be enough.

Updates

I am done with college! Graduated! Finished!

Which means that I will finally have time to write again. So there should be new chapters coming out in the new year, probably January. Plus I'll have ashorter fic coming out later this month for the BatPham Secret Santa.

But the good news is that now that I'm not researching and writing essays constantly, I'm able to write for fun again. Which means more chapters for all of you.
