My new album, Born in Shadow is out! This is the beginning of a lot new music coming your way. If you have been following my music this album may sound familiar, let me break it down.
Two blasts from the past
The first two tracks, Motion and Disharmony in Accord are from my first album, Manifesto which was originally released over 20 years ago. They have been remastered and show where my music started.
Two Covers
The next two tracks are covers of the Ghost songs, He is and Cirice that were the first tracks I made when I started making music again a couple years ago.
The Remasters singles
The rest of the album are remastered versions of the singles I released over the last couple years: Finding Joy, Have Mercy, Into the Dream Realm, Salvatrix Mundi, and Don't Want.
I am so happy with how these songs sound and I feel like I am finally at a place where I am making my music in a way that I want.

We've all gone through a lot over the last few years, Many of us are questioning the fundamentals of our lives. What do we keep and what do we chuck overboard so we don't go under. The one thing we can't get rid of is our dreams.
Dreams can feel crushing. We set goals and deadlines for when we want to hit certain milestones, then we punish and beat ourselves up if we don't achieve them in the timeframe we chose. Stop doing that.
Dreams are the seeds for the active hope that gets us out of the bed in the morning and drives us to live our true selves in more honest and authentic ways. I understand how we all are trapped in late stage capitalism, but we can't see all of our life as a capitalist enterprise.
If we don't do the things that will feed, nurture, and grow our souls, we can't be surprised that we feel dead inside. There is nothing wrong with making it possible to make money from our dreams, but we shouldn't do them for the money. We do them for the love and the hope that other people will love them too.

In The Shadow Phoenix Saga, Gomruth is an Ulaan which were inspired by Erythrosuchus. The first time I saw these creatures, I thought they looked like something from a fantasy story, so I looked for a way to include them in my epic fantasy series. When I knew Maeve was going to have a pet, I thought, what if Erythrosuchus were like the dogs of this setting? The thought made me smile, so that got it into the story.,
Check out The Shadow Phoenix Saga.

Yeah… I'm doing that. In chapter one, we meet Jade Crescent who is a humanoid golden shark with a sharkhound companion. I love this character and can't wait to share their interactions with a white tiger furry later in the story.
I was originally opposed to calling the Sadath magical furries because they are just anthropomorphic creatures, but so many of the early readers called them that, so I am going to roll with it. I hope you enjoy this story and I would love your feedback.

A mysterious stranger offers her a simple task for a huge payout: retrieve a stolen relic. She jumps at what sounds like easy money to refit and restock her ship, then she discovers the easier the job the more it might get them all killed.

The Shadow Phoenix Saga rejects cis heteronormativity as a basic fact of the world building. The majority of people are pansexual, but there are monosexuals and ace/aro characters as well.
It is important for me to say this early and often because it is one of the many things that sets this series apart from others. I am not the first to do this, but it is a conscious thought on my part.
Part of the fun writing this is imagining a world free from heteronormativity and heterotemporality. I am not perfect in this and I would love your help to push the setting even more in this direction.
I hope you are excited to see this world come to life and bring in a different perspective into the genre that it needs.

What I love most about fantasy books is bow they take us away into strange new worlds full of magic and mystery. Fantasy should be fun.
The Shadow Phoenix Saga is a hopepunk epic fantasy book series and podcast series about the invasion of the Shadow Phoenix, Eterna and the struggle to survive.
With a few exceptions, I didn't want to use any of the traditional fantasy peoples. There are no elves, no dwarves, and I only included humans because I felt like I needed to have them.
Instead we meet the plant based Nephrear that many early readers have nicknamed murder radishes and the Sadath, lovingly referred to a the Magical Furries.
I love the magic of this world, and cannot wait to share the Tugwattles.

It is so hard to promote a new project these days, especially one with so many moving parts as the Shadow Phoenix Saga. How do you promote a book, a serial, a podcast, and a series that will be on my Youtube channel at the same time?
The nice thing about this project is that people will be able to read, listen, or kind of watch it in whatever way they want, but it is a lot more to let people know about.
If you want to keep up with the series, sign up for my newsletter and you will see all the places you can participate in this epic fantasy series.

Who doesn't like pirates, spell casters, quests, and incredibly high stakes? While yes,, like other writers I wanted to leave my mark on the genre, but know how pretentious it is to think that I can actually do anything original or new.
The Shadow Phoenix Saga is a constructive pastiche of the Epic Fantasy genre. It employs so many of the tropes I love and uses them in a why I hope is cleaver and interesting. It is a mix of my favorite ones.
This is a hopepunk series that challenges the grimdark tropes that have seeped into the genre with active hope.
I can't wait to share this series with you.

Wish we could bring the Golem back honestly this is horrifying. Parade is a play about the lynching of Leo Frank, a Jewish man wrongfully accused of murdering a white teenage girl in 1913. Frank was sentenced to life in prison, but he was kidnapped from prison and lynched. The principal actors in Parade, Ben Platt and Micaela Diamond, are Jewish themselves.
You can read the full article here, but a bit of a warning, some of the details are sickening.

Accepting identities I don't understand is actually extremely easy because I just go "this isn't about me" and move on with my life unbothered by someone else's identity, it's truly that simple.
