Hey Tumblr! I'm writing a book. It's 102k words (and counting) of pure queer fantasy and a year's worth of emotions.

It's about a queer kid finding community and support, and then stepping up to defend the people they love. And it's about falling in love and finding yourself, and it's about trust, and connection, and responsibility, and trying to do good in the world. It is also about gay.

Blurb thing:

Monster: A Short Story of BPD

I have a monster who lives in my head, it's tendrils writhe under my skin, ready to strike. It once served a purpose, it kept me alive, it kept me safe, but it's become far too paranoid, it thinks that everyone that gets close is a threat.

"You've been hurt before," it whispers, it's voice sultry and inviting, like a mother gently guiding her child. "They'll hurt you again."

"No, they won't, they love me. Why would they hurt me?" I ask, feeling the tendrils tighten around my bones, cracking them under its pressure.

I wince, but remain strong, I can't let it win, I know what happens when it wins.

"It's a matter of time, what about the others? They hurt you. They used you. They abused you. We need to fight, we need to survive."

With every declaration, it tightens its grip, it needs out, it needs to protect me from a threat that's not there.

I struggle to break away, but then something happens. The one I loved makes me feel betrayed, if only for a second. A quick waivering of my convictions.

And that's all it needs.

The tendrils break from my skin, lashing out, "YOU HATE ME, HOW COULD YOU HURT ME? I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME!" It screams in my voice, attacking the ones who love me.

And I'm powerless. I'm watching it as it uses my body to destroy what I've built with my loved ones.

When it's over, it recedes, and there's only me sifting through the damage, salvaging what I can, throwing out what I can't.

It thinks it's protecting me, but it is destroying me.

I realised that plot holes are only holes because you keep forgetting to repair them. If you actually sew them up with a bunch of made up shit occasionally, then they won't get so big. I somehow made my world building make sense by just adding reasons why its like that.

Why doesn't anyone know about the other plains of the dodecahedron? well obviously it's because everyone thinks you just fall off the edge and whatever you see after that is The After Life. You know, folklore and totally not a complete plot hole with an half arsed explanation slapped on top.

I know earlier I said short stories are hard, but I do have a collection of short stories I've actually finished. So, I turned them into a book called "Anthology: A Collection of Short Stories," which is posted on Neobook.org.
