It is so funny being ace and having taken a human sexuality course because I have all of this knowledge about something I have no desire to experience for myself. People who are actually interested in sex will mention it and then have their mood completely killed by me excitedly rambling fun facts about the subject. I just think it's neat from a biological and psychological perspective
Do you know the ‘mechanics’ for how a penis gets hard?
Yes, intimately

I love how some people draw Zoro like "BIG DUMB STINKY BRUTE" and others are like "sassy prettyboy cunt 💅✨️" and they are both correct

before and after Nami and Robin forcibly give him a bath and makeover
(This is the first time I've drawn him without a reference but I've been so obsessed with him lately that I can see him clearly in my mind anyway lol)

I feel bad after calling out all the straw hats in this post for their sins so now I'll praise their virtues. According to my brief googling, the corresponding virtues to pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth are humility, charity, chastity, gratitude, temperance, patience, and diligence, respectively, so that's what I'll use here.
Luffy - diligence
Pretty much the entire story happens because Luffy is really determined to become king of the pirates. All of his allies (first, and notably, Koby) were won over and inspired by his perseverance. Almost all of his struggles are overcome by sheer force of will. This is extremely apparent during Alabasta, when he gets thoroughly schooled by Crocodile twice and still goes back for more even while critically injured. I assigned the sin of sloth to Zoro, which makes Luffy his counterbalance. This tracks because Luffy brought Zoro onto a more direct path towards his dream of becoming the world's greatest swordsman, and motivated him to train even harder and take down stronger foes. Sloth mainly applied to Zoro's personal relationships, as he was content to work alone and didn't put much of an effort toward forming and maintaining friendships, but Luffy becomes a person that he'd do anything for.
Sanji - temperance
Sanji counters Luffy's gluttony by rationing the food so it lasts the whole journey and guarding it from Luffy's voracious appetite. Sanji never wastes a scrap of food, and makes sure everyone has enough to eat without tolerating overindulgence to the point that it would endanger the rest of the crew. He understands the importance of moderation. When they're discussing splitting the money, his requests are reasonable and mostly for the benefit of the whole crew, as compared to Luffy, who wants a giant statue. Sanji is a voice of reason that's critical for keeping Luffy's impulses in check.
Zoro - chastity
The opposite of Sanji's lust, Zoro's backstory and motivation is based on respect for a woman as a rival and fellow swordsman. At least up to where I've seen (partly into Water 7), he's never had heart eyes or nosebleeds or any remotely pervy reaction. He's usually the first one to call Sanji out when he crosses a line with Nami. He treats Nami and Robin as equals, and their gender doesn't seem to make much difference to him. Physical appearance doesn't sway Zoro's opinion of people; he judges them by their actions. He's generally unaffected by all desires of the flesh; he accepts pain, hunger, cold and heat with minimal complaint.
(Interesting to note that this makes Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro a self-balancing trio. There's something to be said about triangles being the strongest shape and the idea of the id, ego, and superego in a triumvirate but that's more than we have room to get into here.)
Usopp - charity
Since his introduction, Usopp has always offered freely what he has to give - stories and laughter. He gave the Usopp Pirates a sense of belonging and adventure, and he gave the joy of life back to Kaya. He offers his creativity and inventions to the crew; notably, designing their flag and creating a weapon for Nami. His distress and insecurity mainly stems from the feeling that he doesn't have anything worthy to give. He worries that he's more of a burden than a boon to the straw hats, and this ultimately leads to his decision to leave. This makes Usopp the counterpart to Nami's greed. When he was distraught about losing the money, she realized she cared more about him than the treasure.
Chopper - humility
Chopper's always so bashful when flattered. He never boasts, only fulfills his duty as a doctor as best as he can and is always eager to learn more. He deeply admires his teachers, and doesn't seek glory for himself. In G-8, he coaches Dr. Kobato through the surgeries so she can be prepared to handle them on her own in the future. Chopper cares only about saving lives and keeping people healthy. His pride is all in his friends and crew, and he's modest about his own ablities. Chopper also serves as an outlet for Usopp's pride (the corresponding sin to humility) by being the only one who actually believes his tall tales, which I think sometimes makes Usopp feel guilty and think twice about taking advantage of his gullibility.
Nami - gratitude
Nami's childhood with Belle-mère taught her to be grateful for what she has. She worked for Arlong for years to pay back the village for taking care of her. She's the first of the straw hats to show gratitude to Luffy for turning her life around. Despite her hot temper, she makes sure her friends know she cares about them and is thankful to have them around. She never wants someone she loves to die thinking she doesn't appreciate them, like she worried Belle-mère almost did. The opposite of envy, she's secure in herself, but doesn't take anything for granted. She's confident in her skills, and accepting of her weaknesses.
(This makes Usopp, Chopper, and Nami another balanced trio.)
Robin - patience
Robin is the counter to her own wrath. She's had to be self-sufficient almost her whole life, and hasn't had any friends (presumably, I still haven't seen much of her backstory) until the straw hats to help regulate or balance out her flaws. In order to stay safe, she's had to make up for her wrath by having patience in spades. Robin is always cool and collected, and watches and considers before acting. She doesn't lose her temper or start fights needlessly. She keeps her impulses in check and tries to work based on logic, not emotion.
Handy dandy extremely low quality flowchart I made in two minutes in the notes app showing the interactions of the sins and virtues I've assigned:

In water 7 now and mad at half the straw hats so I'm exposing their sins (also watching fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood so I've got those on the brain)
Luffy - gluttony
His hunger knows no bounds, and he's even put his friends at risk to satisfy it, like when he ate up the food stores while they were crossing the desert in Alabasta or when he fought Zoro in Whiskey Peak for cutting down people who had given them food. And not just eating, everything Luffy does is to excess. Not exactly the same but in a similar vein, he can be selfish sometimes and tactless, thinking more about his own feelings than others', leading to his failure to reason with and empathize with Usopp. (I lump this in with gluttony because the main reason I see gluttony as bad is because it's taking for yourself without consideration for others, as compared to greed which is often intentionally at the expense of others. Also "being unable to talk about your emotions and resolve interpersonal conflict without violence" isn't a sin, though maybe wrath would fit here?)
Nami - greed
She had good reasons for being a thief desperate for money before Arlong was defeated, but now her thirst for gold is more selfish. After growing up poor, she wants to be able to buy herself the paper and supplies and clothes that she never could before. She's also willing to put her friends in danger to get it, as shown in G-8 when she made everyone go back to retrieve the gold despite having a good escape opportunity. Her prioritizing money definitely had a role in Usopp's self-loathing spiral after he lost it.
Usopp - pride
This whole fight over the Merry is really more about his pride. He tells tall tales because he doesn't feel good about any of his own personal achievements. He lies because he feels that the truth about himself is unsatisfactory. Inside, he considers the acquisition of the Going Merry his one main contribution to the crew, and now the idea that the ship is replaceable makes him feel expendable too. He is surrounded by people aspiring to be the pirate king, the greatest swordsman, the greatest chef, the greatest navigator, and the greatest historian, and meanwhile he's just... some guy trying to be less of a coward. Usopp's pride makes it hard for him to open up to his friends about his insecurities and struggles, and so he chooses to fight instead of talking things over.
Zoro - sloth
Pretty much all Zoro does is fight, train, eat, drink, and sleep. He's constantly napping, even while important things are happening. He slept right through the first major storm that hit the Merry after entering the Grand Line, even though the crew needed his help. He gives his friends the impression that he doesn't care sometimes because of it. Zoro is left on board with Sanji after they dock at Water 7 and just sleeps, until Sanji gets fed up and leaves, and he instantly falls back asleep again. Though he's always ready to jump in to help fight, he's content to leave the talking and planning and negotiating to the rest of the crew. During the whole falling out with Usopp, he just stands back and watches, and doesn't even make an effort to comfort Chopper. He keeps his emotions bottled up inside so he doesn't have to deal with them.
Sanji - lust
For obvious reasons. He doesn't know when to quit or keep things to himself so he ends up making a lot of people uncomfortable. He can be very shallow and clearly places great value on appearances, as shown during his fight with Bon Clay when just the form of Nami had such an effect on him. He prioritizes beautiful women at his friends' expense. I also consider vanity to be tied with lust, and considering he's frequently sailing through all kinds of weather on a pirate ship in a three piece suit and he always has to have his hair *just so* I'd say he's quite vain. Personally, I believe that he mainly longs to be gentle and affectionate with someone, since he's always been treated so roughly by the people close to him in the past, but that would seem too "sissy" or something so he tries to save face by acting pervy. Maybe I'm just being delusional and making up excuses for him because he'd be so perfect if he wasn't a creep.
Chopper - envy
Chopper has always wanted to fit in. He wished he had a black nose like the other reindeer instead of a blue one. He wished he could still have a place among them after eating the human human fruit, and he wished he could be accepted by the people in the village. He wishes he were as brave and strong as some of the other members of the straw hats. Honestly, this is all fairly harmless except for the damage to his own self esteem, but to me, Chopper is an adorable little muffin who can do no wrong so this is the most I can come up with for him. (I'm so mad at Usopp for being mean to him.)
Robin - wrath
Mainly because it's the only one left but fma:b's representation of wrath in Fuhrer Bradley as cold, calculating, and secretly seething under the surface is really interesting to me and I feel like it could apply to Robin. She's always very quick to apply potentially lethal or at least crippling force to her foes, or I interpret it that way based on the camera (or whatever you call it in animation) panning away from her finishing attacks leaving only the sounds of necks and spines crackling, and then she's off very quickly without any signs of guilt. She acts level-headed, but in a way that feels very dangerous. She's probably had to get very good at masking her true feelings to survive. I'm still at a point where her backstory hasn't been fully revealed, but it's implied that she caused serious damage to a lot of people in the past. I'm very interested to see how that goes.
If sloth were not my primary sin I'd draw them all as homunculi... maybe someday...

Can and should and will

Based on this scene from the smurfs

"Reki can and should lift Langa like a sack of potatoes,” I say into the mic.
The crowd boos. I begin to walk off in shame, when a voice speaks and commands silence from the room.
"She’s right," they say. I look for the owner of the voice. There in the 2nd row stands: Langa Hasegawa.

Since y'all seemed to like this I'll keep rambling on the subject, I can do this all day. Here are some of those examples where I think their friendship really shines through:

From Sanji's perspective, this guy just showed up outside his restaurant one day, dueled the legendary swordsman who slashed Don Krieg's fleet to pieces, willingly got cut almost in two, nearly bled to death, was tied up by his own crew and then captured by the Arlong pirates, still singlehandedly escaped and came back to join the fight and defeated one of Arlong's best fighters, then nearly bled to death again and woke up just in time to drink himself silly at the afterparty. I've heard people say they "match each other's freak" and that's the truth. Sanji watches this absolute wackadoodle of a man and knows he's found someone who matches his freak. From Zoro's point of view, some cook at a floating restaurant just fed all of their enemies out of principle before kicking their butts. How could he not respect that sort of unconditional adherence to a sense of honor and justice? Especially considering he himself experienced starvation not too long ago in Shells Town. Now this cook, the newest stray in Luffy's collection, immediately proves himself to be immensely capable both in the kitchen and on the battlefield, incurs injury to himself without complaint to protect these people he barely knows, and still is the only person to come sit by Zoro and check up on him. So Zoro knows that Sanji has a heart of pure gold, and I think that's a big part of why he gets frustrated when Sanji tries to cover it up with bravado and perviness.

This scene was really interesting to me because usually when someone demands that Zoro does something, he grouches and grumbles about it, so in this case it seems he just spontaneously started helping out himself. And if there was ever a man whose love language is acts of service, it's Roronoa Zoro. He seems to be more of a "companionable silence" kind of guy, while Sanji's a talker and will say anything to keep feeling connected. Now, I don't know if this is just a me thing, but I like to say my friends' names a lot, even just because the association with them brings me joy, but I rarely use the names of people I'm not close with except to refer to them in third person or to get their attention. In this scene, it seems to me that Sanji keeps repeating Zoro's name as a way to show he's thinking about him and appreciates him being there, though I might just be projecting.

Now, I know shippers go crazy over this one, but I think it's honestly really solid platonic evidence and I'll tell you why (not to dissuade shipping, I think you have to be friends before you can be more than friends so all of this can be fuel for the ship too if you want it to be). Firstly, they're comfortable enough to sleep this close together. Sanji's resting his sleepy head right on Zoro's shoulder (it should have been me, not him) and Zoro just lets him. Also note real quick, only a short distance away Luffy is using Usopp as a pillow, so they're all a cuddly cozy little family. When Zoro notices Sanji mistakenly trying to kiss him, he doesn't even move away, he just makes a face and waits for Sanji to wake up so he can make fun of him. Sanji, for his part, doesn't act embarrassed or disgusted that it turned out to be Zoro there, only playfully mad about his expression. They squabble for a few moments before Luffy pushes past them and they turn their attention to the next thing, argument forgotten, proving that neither was actually angry about anything and they were merely enjoying the opportunity to bicker.

This is from the hunting competition in Little Garden that I mentioned before. I just wanted to point out that both of them are grinning and clearly having a grand time.

(I love how Sanji's hands are just massive sometimes.) They have the entire forest clearing, and Sanji chooses to sit his little booty down right next to Zoro and toss his food at him. They're just like those kids in elementary who had beef over who has a more impressive Pokémon collection and would always sit next to each other at lunch to compare cards and play together at recess but claim they're archnemeses. And for as much as Sanji implied to Usopp (though oblivious) that the heart shaped vegetables were just for the ladies, he did choose to make it and serve it to the whole crew. Speaking of the ladies, Sanji is always adamant about protecting them, but he was perfectly fine with leaving Nami and Robin in Zoro's care, just as Zoro trusted Sanji to take care of Luffy and Usopp.
I also loved how Sanji packed Zoro a cute little lunchbox for exploring and he was NOT going to let no stupid south bird take it from him.
Alright that's all for today folks I gotta wake up in like 5 hours for work lol

He's anxious and high strung already, he doesn't need energy drinks, he'd be more jittery than a jumping bean (the coffee is decaf). He does, however, need the comfort and familiarity of his grimy little diner with the chipped paint and the faded, flattened chair cushions and the old man he shares the paper with and the cook who makes his eggs just the way he likes them and the blonde waitress who calls him darling and the window she wipes spotless every morning so he can watch the sun rise before patting the old man on the shoulder and leaving a generous tip and a small imprint on the barstool that's become permanent over time
chilchuck is NOT a two redbulls and adderall for breakfast girlie some of you are projecting
he IS HOWEVER a man who stops at the same place every single morning for a greasy breakfast sandwich and black coffee when not on a job without fail
he's mr. egg mcmuffin
