like sometimes sol comes to jesse’s house and they’re like ‘oh hi sol’ and he looks around and its literally just been them crying, eating croissants, reading books and nothing else

the local bakery knows them so well they just have croissants ready and like thats all they do

Hey, just saw your ‘art student art block post’ and as I did all of that a few years ago and had A Bad Time With It ™️ thought id pitch in. It can get really rough but basically, it depends. Exam wise it’s not as dramatic as it sounds, if anything it’s pretty chill. You do all the prep work and everything before hand so as long as you understand your own pace it’ll be fine. You don’t have to finish a whole piece either. As long as you produce ten hours worth of work (or five depending on mocks) the exam board will take it.

With the coursework you’ll be in more trouble. Now I don’t know which exam board or type of work you’ll be doing (we did boards but I know some places do sketchbooks) but look at the assessment objectives set by the exam board. If you get told to do, say, three Artist Analysis projects but you only have the energy for one or two don’t do all three. As long as you have *something* to cover that objective it’ll be fine. However, if you don’t have enough work to cover an objective that’ll put you in trouble. If you’re only doing one of a project, get it done. This isn’t me saying ‘take this 100% solid advice’ though. If you can it will absolutely boost your grade. This is more advice for if you’re really, really stuck. Your teachers will have assigned it for a reason. Worst comes worst, you’ll be okay.

TL;dr: The exams will be fine as long as you know how much you can get done at a time and get the prep done. The coursework should be done to a reasonable standard but it’s okay to skip ‘extra’ work. Don’t stress TOO hard :-)
