It's almost here, tomorrow is reveals day!

Thank you again to everyone who participated in this inaugural Corrupt-a-Wish fest. It's been great getting to sneak a peak at all your fics as I've been reviewing them, and I can't wait for everyone else to see them too!

It's almost time! We're within 24 hours of all our lovely fics being due!

If you've got a claim and are just putting the finishing touches on it, you've got approximately 22 hours and 40 minutes to finish it off and get it submitted (there are a few of you out there...). If you're up against the deadline and need an extension, just let me know! I can try and slip it in after the deadline if need be, it just means I might not have it accepted to the collection in time for posting with the others on the 8th.

There's lots of good fics already in, and I can't wait for you all to see them!!

We're coming to the end of the last weekend before fics are due (Saturday Feb 1, 5:00 PM MST) How are we all doing? Everyone feeling confident? Anyone needing further inspiration?

We've got a bunch of fics (really fun ones, I've been having a blast reviewing them!) already in, and hopefully a few more to come! Can't wait for everyone else to see them soon!

And what if there was a follow up fic where they had to try and assemble the KLJERGEN bookshelf together and the strong one got grumpy because the smol one was better at following the instructions so they got into a fight about how to organize their books on the now completed shelf because feelings are difficult.

Books: Main characters must follow the plot.

Fanfiction: Okay but what if they went to IKEA and fought over furniture instead?

We are nearing the end of submissions everyone, but there's still a little more than a week left if you're wanting to get in on the first round of Corrupt-a-Wish fest! Prompts and claims are all open through January 31st with Submissions due by 5 PM MST February 1!

To keep some inspiration going, we've got another prompt jump start, this time for 'Basilisk on the loose'. Just a reminder, you are welcome to take the jump start and run with it, take the prompt and do something entirely different with it, or anything in between, these are just to help get creative juices flowing!

It wasn't his fault, none of it was ever his fault. Things like this just always happened to him. House elves turned up in his bedroom to drop pudding on his uncle's boss, zoo enclosures failed until they didn't, he discovered he was fluent in languages that were utterly useless for anything beyond convincing everyone you were secretly an evil git who wanted to kill your friends. Harry's life was just an endless string of bad sitcom episodes and stories that made everyone around him sad and uncomfortable. Which was probably why he was now running down the halls after an apparently ill-advised trip to the loo in the wee hours of the morning, with water spraying everywhere from a broken toilet behind him and a great bloody snake in pursuit that kept calling him 'Master'.

Alright, everyone wants a little prompt inspo, so I'm going to try and deliver on that! I'm going to try and use prompts people haven't claimed in the hopes it gets a few more people excited enough to join us, but if you have one you've already picked, and you think you might like a little help getting going, feel free to let me know and I can give you a little jump!

We are up to 21 prompts now, which is very exciting! Prompt suggestions are open right up until claims close, so feel free to keep on suggesting them right up until the last minute. (Suggestions are welcome from all, even those who might not be up for writing one of their own)

Corrupt a Wish Winter 2024 is now live and ready for prompting and claiming. This is a fest dedicated to “corrupting” the wishes of participants and fighting nightmares, all by taking the dark and angsty prompts and turning them into fluff and humor (smut is also welcome, just keep it lighthearted!)

Sign ups are open until January 31 2025!

Rules:

1. Don’t Yuck My Yum. Just because this fest is dedicated to taking angst/darkness and making it warm and fuzzy that doesn’t mean we shame angst/Dead Dove/other darker writers or fics, nor do we judge people for how they decided to fluff their prompts up. Keep comments/feedback in groups kind and friendly!

2. Characters must be 16+ to engage in smut if you are including it in your fics. Younger characters can be in fics if it’s pure fluff, but if your fic is M or E rated, we play by the standard rules of safe, sane, and consensual, and that includes everyone being of legal age and capable of consent.
