Watercolor painting on the Adriatic coast. I love finding a rhythm of painting a body of water meeting the coastline. The yellow and pale grey limestone formations and turquoise appearance of the water are very different than the New Jersey shore I grew up on. Sharing a self portrait started during the Alchemist’s Guide led by @kevin.campeau.art and with the teachings from @oleg_a_korolev alive in my head from @visionaryartseminar . This piece comes at a time I had not prepared to foresee. ‘Resolute’ is about unwavering determination. I send my love to the recovery of my mom and the battle my grandmother also faces ahead. Happy to share the final rendition of this piece. This idea was three years in the making. First two years were mulling the idea about the broadness of worldwide steel recycling, then the last year came a watercolor sketch a small acrylic painting and then the final remix of the recycling symbol. Happy to complete something with a big goal in mind. "Reduce, Reuse" Mischtechnik on Canvas 2017. Sold. Also check out my new website domain! Here is the final stage of the 'Honeymobile' mural for @CapstoneCommunity ! We made this mural to symbolize the strength of culture in New Orleans as connected honeycombs 🍯 There are pollinators flying around the garden and a shotgun house near bee boxes. The trailer will be used for expert bee colony rescues as well as a mobile honey extractor for Capstone Raw Honey! #bee #mural #visionaryart #perspective #butterfly #honeybee #honey #sunset #nectar with @rednthahead (at Lower Ninth Ward)

Hello from Occidental CA! I'm taking time WWOOFing to enrich my skills as a vegetable farmer, take some risks, and work passionately sharing my creative side! Today I slaughtered a sheep and got closer to my understanding of homegrown meat. And the impact meat has on our society. At the least it's been enlightening! Amidst so much energy toward my school @hampshirecollege for taking down the American flag, the building of a regressive and detrimental presidential administration, and 18" of snowfall at the camps in Cannonball, ND where 100s of Red Cross emergency cots and more sun freezing supplies may not get to the Water Protectors:: this art is for you. May we continue to have the RIGHT to free speech, the STRONG building of grassroots organizing coops and sovereign First Nations, and the HUMAN right to clean water. #nodapl #water #waterprotectors #standingrock #visionary #movement #visionaryart #community (at Bayview-Hunters Point, San Francisco)

Journey
I spent the past four years navigating the worlds between academic voice and process-based art within my community at Hampshire College in Massachusetts. I found myself meeting, interviewing, and drawing activists from the area. All of the social justice work happening around me compelled me to complete a series of paintings illuminating the work of five activists who I grew a connection with. I am beyond blessed to present the work of the 'Soul Portraits: Visions of Change’ Series. All original works are available and prints will be available of all the pieces soon (contact me for all inquiries). Please listen and download a free copy of the Activist Sound Collage and view the SOUL PORTRAITS GALLERY!
After graduating from Hampshire, I spent the summer tending gardens in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, NC. My time in Asheville allowed me to dive deep into the garden as studio practice. While living so close to the plants I helped grow, water, and harvest, I started illustrating an Herbalism series inspired by my fascination with edible and medicinal plants of the east cost. Read the blog posts of some of the featured plants from ‘The Herbal Leaflet’ on the Ashevillage Blog, Harvesting Wild Edible Greens + Wild and Medicinal Plants Pt. 2.
In Asheville, I planned my third Live Art Tour based on my intentions for bringing together community engagement and visionary art. The 'Visionary Soulscapes Live Art Tour 2016' took off with Three Days of Light Gathering in NC at the end of August. I taught a Visionary Painting Workshop that catalyzed artists of varying levels to shed their artistic doubts and open space for their positivity and creative flow to shine into their work with an introduction to the Mischtechnik. It was empowering to hear the participants learning from each other, taking risks with their sketches, and trying new mediums. The valley at the Gathering was alive with a blessing of the land and a three day long blessing of our sacred waters. The timing couldn’t have been more synchronous with the realities of the rights of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Water is our number one resource! We must use it, recycle it, and hydrate with gratitude.
BURNING MAN )’(
I went to Burning Man straight out of Asheville with the mantra 'act in scarcity, live in abundance' alive in my head. I met Sophie in SF and we had one day to gather the rest of our pieces to travel into the desert. We checked all the parts on our tandem bike, got our 5 gallon water container, and packed up rebar to stake our tent with. I had the opportunity to camp with the Flaming Lotus Girls on the desert playa of Black Rock City, NV. They installed a gigantic interactive flaming metal anatomical heart and lungs sculpture. It was amazing to interact and spread the word about our project with the rest of the bubbling community at Burning Man. I witnessed and participated in a discussion about “Reigniting the Feminine”, got caught in a dust storm inside of a stuffed teapot until sunrise, and painted our tandem bike on our journey home. My experience on the desert playa showed me that anything on eARTh is possible with a dedicated heart, even in the harshest of conditions.
EARTHDANCE
Just a couple weeks later, I participated in the Live Arts Mural Installation at Earthdance Florida. I created the pARTicipate Mural which engaged participants of the gathering to dance into a shape to be live drawn in about 2 minutes. We expressed our connection to music, art, and dancing within the celebration of peace at one of the thirty different Earthdances across the globe. I got to paint with some of my biggest inspirations and I shared my story publicly on the Visionary Artist Panel at Earthdance Florida. View the full length mural online here. It will be available through the Earthdance site soon!
MOVING FORWARD
I am excited to share an ongoing collaboration with the Moon Dream Tea company based in Massachusetts. I created a commissioned piece for a blend by Moon Dream Tea and feel so grateful to have my artwork featured on one of the tea blends soon to be released! Give their page a look here. Look out for my next newsletter with details on my next mural project soon to be revealed in San Francisco! Thank you for being a part of the journey.
