Update from the grand mun

Sorry, I been gone so long, lets of stuff have been going on in my personal life and the lockdown due to the virus as made it take awhile for me to get me foot in the door. Surprising now with everything sorted out, it gave me sometime to actually start some fan and original projects. So, i will be starting up asks again soon.

A bit of half-worlder culture rant

Aside from the lack of half-world appearances and the treatment of half-world characters, the other thing that annoys me, when it comes to rocket and other half-word related topics is the lack of info on their culture and social norms. Yes, his original solo-comic, it did said that the animals had formed a society of it own with customs and traditions made from many of generations of the animals before them, but that was it. The only things we could really get out of it was in the art and little hints in the text, but it was very bare.

After revisiting the original many timse, i started to become more interest of how they would live, how they raise young, what was early education like, what was the normal family unit is like? While, I feel that rocket’s past being mysterious and lonely isn’t a bad direction to go and has a lot of potential in storytelling, I feel like some writers are starting to use that as a excuse not to develop he and his home planet any depth or backstory. It became annoying and old, as his being is now just a Greek tragedy with no end or beginning as he is forever suffering or alone in some shape or form.

Getting back on topic, I seriously feel that marvel had did a great disservice as they had abandoned it completely, despite the great potential it has. So I decided to take matters in my own hands and will start to make headcanons (and art when i get more resources) of half-world and it’s way of life.

daughter of my of the most successful businessmen in the keystone quadrant

they were very conservative ,especially when it came gender and social class roles

His father wanted her to sit pretty and find a good husband to takeover the company,but she didn’t want any part of that

is very kind and loving, but is also very rebellious against people or ideas she disapproves

She first met rocket when they were very young, but on political terms

Loves swimming, exploring, and other outdoor activities

She’s very close with the raccoon family and see them as her second family after her parents passing

How was the reaction of the Guardians when they found out that Rocket is a prince?

Overall they were all shocked that their strategist and tech raccoon was prince of a whole quadrant, let alone the next in line for the throne and have a bit of a sense of distrust about for awhile, but the individual varied greatly. 

Peter did a 360 and loss all his shit, because A.The Raccoon with a British accent is the most powerful political figure on the ship  and B.He could have gotten them out of their past troubles with his status and wealth. at the same time he would be stoked with rocket being the future ruler of the Keystone quadrant and all the perks that comes with it. Basically, He was on an emotional roller-coaster.

Drex was the more curious of the group as he would have many questions for rocket and what his empire is like and about. He would be the second to first to take it well. He was very interest in their battle and defense method.

Gamora was going to be more on the cautious type as she will be very defensive because of their past run-ins with royalty and powerful space empires and would want many answers from he, plus if the word gets out that a guardian is a royal heir, it would be a great liability to the team as a whole. She was more worried of the well being of the team and what it would mean for their future goals and image.

Groot took it the lightest as in his eye rocket would as be rocket in his eyes, either if he was a nobody from a run down planet or the King of a great empire.

Mantis was the most joyful about the new and wanted to know everything about their ways and views on life. Girl had her bags packed for a vacation to half-world with camera and everything. She was happy to see their is one place that makes rocket happy.

Captain Sale is Dauphine’s younger sister and Shocket is her daughter

That makes Ranger, Anya, and rocket shocket’s cousins and sale’s nephews and niece

Queen of all the keystone quadrant and grand gatekeeper

 a total of three children, two sons and a daughter, that she’s very proud off and more so protective

 At age 25, she became queen and the next year got married to the love of her life

 expend their territory as well as improve their business reach and overall space exports industry 

  the most success queen and made the quadrant’s best it ever was

loves all her children, but rocket is her favorite cause of his intelligent and his her baby boy and youngest child

has a strong bond with ranger as he is her eldest and trusted him to protect rocket and be there to for him

relationship with Anya is a bit more rocky as she is very rebellious and don’t believe in following traditions to the death

she still loves her and respects her for being rocket’s royal governess  and training adviser 

hurts her heart  that rocket would live home for months without saying anything and would get super worried

wants him to stay home and become king

is Very strict and holding her self to a high status,but not cocky or underestimating

is the reserved and silent type, but let’s her feeling and thought known, loud and clear

has a love-hate relationship with mom and was a bit of a daddy’s girl

can’t stand rocket, Ranger, and their mom at times, but would throw hands with who ever looks at them wrong

is a bit of a lot accepting with rocket and what he wants to do with his life, but still intervenes when she feels like he made a mistake or not ready for it
