Now that Thunderbolts* is out and Sentry is getting lots of attention (yay!), here is your friendly reminder that Bob does NOT have Dissociative Identity Disorder.

He is not like Moon Knight, who has distinct, separate identities. Sentry and the Void are both facets of Bob. It’s an important distinction.

In the comics, he has schizophrenia. In the MCU, his mental illness is not clarified, but it appears to be bipolar disorder. Especially with Lewis Pullman himself explaining that Sentry and the Void are meant to represent Bob’s mania and depression, respectively.

DID, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia are all distinct disorders and are not interchangeable.
