A handful of people are kidnapped every year and forced to participate in a series of "trials" in order to win the rights to go home. If everything goes well for everyone, only one person will never go home. This is because the last trial gives you a target to kill. (you are also your target's target.) Those who succeed go home, and those that don't get revived shortly after to retake the trial until there's only one person left (not counting anyone who failed the previous trials).
Danny, by virtue of his powers being tied to him being dead, keeps failing the last trial.
Bruce, who was purposefully captured in order to lead the Justice League to the kidnapper's base, has refused to kill anyone.
They are now the last two taking the last trial and are at a bit of a stand off given that Bruce has to lose in order to accomplish his goal, and Danny can't win because he keeps reflexively using his powers (to save people who tried to let him win, and to avoid people trying to kill him).

actually can we have Tim not being adopted into the batfamily and instead after his parents go broke and then die leaving him with nothing he just decides ‘well i know where the batcave is’ and starts living in the tunnels underneath Wayne manor because of the logic that he can’t get kicked out bcs 1. squatters rights and 2. whats Bruce gonna do? call the police and say ‘this guy won’t leave my secret lair. no im not Batman wdym’? and he manages to go unnoticed for like. a good fucking while. not even Alfred realises bcs wtf would he be snooping around down there for?
even better is this happens after Jason dies so Tim still becomes Robin and Bruce is so overwhelmed with grief that he literally never realises that Tim has never once used the front door to come over. he just kinda sneaks up from somewhere in the cave. he assumes that Alfred’s letting the kid in without telling him. Alfred assumes Bruce is doing the same.
Damian finds out first because that’s so much funnier. he gets to Gotham to 1. gain his birthright and meet his father and 2. do some reconnaissance/avenging of this replacement Robin that’s been the centre of Jason’s angry rants at the league for the past 6 months. he follows Tim ‘home’ and finds him fucking. golluming it up a 15 minute hike through the cave system and he’s like. wait what.
Damian, reporting back to Jason: Drake is a mole.
Jason, vindicated: like he’s working for the enemy?!
Damian, standing in front of an indignant Tim in the middle of his ‘camp’, phone pressed to his ear: no like he lives in a fucking tunnel.
Jason:
Tim, mumbling: slightly harsh,
Damian, angling his face away from the phone momentarily: i watched you dig a hole to unearth the protein bars you’d buried there.
Tim:
Jason, rapidly changing his opinion on this kid: ok actually lets not kill him because thats fucking hysterical and i want to know more-
Tim really likes living alone in the tunnels because he’s a weird little guy and he’s gotten used to the independence and lack of sun, and Damian grew up in the league where ‘wilderness training’ was monthly, mandatory, and from the age of three. so he really doesn’t see the issue in it. he just kinda shrugs and accepts his brother lives in the cave system. Jason is so delighted and amused by the vibes these two kids have going on over in Gotham (he gets video calls from Damian just. in Tim’s camp while they hang out together sometimes. Damian brings him water bottles and various sustenance offerings like he’s appealing so some ancient deity living under their house. Jason thinks it’s incredible) that he decides fuck the league, he needs to see this in person. killing the Joker is a side quest he did on the way; he really only came to see what his idiot little brothers had going on under Bruce, Dick and Alfreds nose. he visits Tim’s little cave home while waiting for his new Crime Alley apartment to be ready.
eventually Bruce and Dick are working on a case and they’re following a lead to do with a criminal escaping via cave systems that they theorise may connect to the batcave, so after Damian’s gone to bed they suit up and start searching around. they come across Damian, Tim, and the fucking Red Hood chilling around a small fire just casually eating leftovers Damian snuck down from the kitchen, just quietly enjoying each others presence in this clearly years old campsite, quietly discussing whether or not the weather will be clear enough next week to go to the new art museum together. Dick shines a flashlight at them and they all snap to attention like that scene in ratatouille where the human comes in the kitchen and the rats all freeze and look up. nobody says anything for a solid three minutes.
eventually Tim is just like “I have squatters rights. you can’t evict me.” and Red Hood nods and points at him.
Bruce, desperate to gain some kind of thread of understanding here: “Damian, you’re supposed to be in bed. …Tim, I’m actually not sure where you’re supposed to be, come to think of it, but I don’t think it’s here.”
“He just said he has squatters rights, father.” Damian responds instantly. “Keep up.”
Dick: “And does the Red Hood have squatters rights?”
“I have a gun, Jason points out cheerfully. “Same thing, ain’t it?”
Dick and Bruce are so confused they become convinced that they’ve been dosed with something and only figure out whats going on after putting on gas masks and testing everybody’s blood.

Imagine this: Danny lives in a world without the JL or any other heroes. The JL lives in a world without Danny Phantom.
The Infinite Realms can connect to other Earths.
Shame some people went through a portal, and found themselves going through another, only to find that the world they went to is not the one they came from.
Danny does not get paid enough for this headache. On the bright side, he finally meets other heroes! That definitely exist!

Ok I'll be able to explain this better in a fic than I can via essay but I don't see Cass and Terry's approaches to Batman as, like, analogous if that makes sense?
Like, when I've seen ppl have them interact it's always w Cass bringing her standards and philosophy about Batman to Terry via training or preaching or whatever (not that I'm arguing against that tbc. She would, and should, do exactly that). The symbol means so much to her and she holds others to that just as much as she holds herself to it. But as interesting as that is, I've never seen ppl acknowledge the inverse and I think that means you're missing out on another layer of interest.
The problem as I see it is thus: the symbol of the bat does not mean the same thing to both characters. And both of them being famously stubborn, I don't think they'll suddenly budge on their ideas just bc a stranger tells them to.
What do I mean by this? Well, for Cass the bat, even removed from Bruce, is redemption. It's forgiveness. It's salvation. It's the power to be good enough to save everyone, do anything, fix everything. She holds herself to an impossible standard and refuses grace. No one else dies. Not on her watch. No criminal is irredeemable bc that would mean she is irredeemable. She always sees herself as just as bad, in a way, as the villains she is willing to die to stop every night.
For Terry the bat also means redemption, but not in such a manic way. For him it's a chance to right his wrongs, make a difference and be a force for good in his community. He's not so worried about external validation. He doesn't psychologically need every killer to be redeemed. As the late great Dwayne McDuffy said, "Bruce's goal is to stop crime. Terry's goal is to help people." He and Cass have radically different approaches to the same mantle that aren't going to mesh 1-1 and I think it's unfair to both to hold them to the other's standard. Apples and oranges, yk?
And another major factor is that they come from radically different worlds as well. Cassandra comes from a setting already full of heroes, where there's a hope and lightness to the air. She sees Batman for the first time and feels hope. When they meet in no man's land he's entrenched in his mission and she's excited to join it. She sees him as someone who will never back down from the cause, never waver on his morals, holds himself to the standards she wants and will hold her to it as well. Terry's first experience with Batman is disappointment. He's born after the man already retired. The age of heroes is long over. Bruce is alone. He meets a man who's abandoned his mission and refuses to do anything about the murder of Terry's father. Terry is not saved by the bat, he's saved by a cynical old man who has to be convinced to hope again. They don't know the same Bruce Wayne. They don't know the same Batman. Cassandra's bat would never in a million years ask her to kill one man if it meant saving the world. Terry's bat already pressed a chunk of kryptonite into his hand and did
So idk I just don't think those experiences are neatly comparable

There aren’t any Batman beyond x dp, so let me try and fix that. Fair warning, I’ve only seen the show.
So this involves immortal halfas. Danny is king on the GZ, and Dani is still traveling there world as a preteen.
She comes across Neo-Gotham, and watches Batman (terry) fight his villains of the week.
This his super early on in his vigilante career, so he makes enough mistakes for Dani to go
Holly ravioli this kids going to die I gotta train him somehow.
And she forces her way into the batgirl mantel.
Keep in mind, she still looks 12, so to Terry and Bruce, a 12 yo girl figured out his identity, and is trying to join the crusade.
They tell her no.
Dani stills ends up breaking in the Batcave and helping out, and Bruce and Terry grow fond of her and finally let her be batgirl.
Well, at the same time, Gothams ghost population seem to be whispering about a cult attempting to summon Pariah Dark out of his sleep

Tbh cores are a really interesting concept I personally see them as pieces of souls or parts of a person's personality or mind that helped shape them as a ghost
Honestly 100%
I've seen a lot of theories about them as well. Some depict them as physical parts of the ghost that "project" their physical forms. Other's see just as you said, pieces of their souls. Honestly it is really up for interpretation, especially if you are doing crossover and want to apply the rules of the other universe.
Personally, I headcanon that ghost cores aren't an inherently physical thing but can take a physical shape in situations. Id image there is a lot of frequency and vibrations going on too, but this is a combo of other explanations. If I remembered who had made the comic about it I would tag them and add the comic but this was years ago.
Definetly a cool concept, if it had been expanded on more in the show I'm sure it would have taken a more supernatural turn rather than super hero but I like it. Leaves a lot up to the fans to decide.
