How colleges create their pamphlets when promoting diversity

White student 1: Do any of you guys know any students that are black or Asian?

White student 2: Oh I do! There's this black guy named....Jamal? Tyrone? Ugh I can't remember.

White student 3: I think his name is Sam.

WS2: Nah I could've sworn it was Jamal. Or is it Tyrone?

WS3: No, it's Sam.

Black person walks in: My name is Ray.

WS2: Are you sure? Cause I could've sworn it was tyrone...but you look more like a Jama-

WS1: Moving on, we have a black person for our pamphlet. Will it be believable?

WS3: Of course it will. How many colleges have a black student named Ray? Not many.

These two amazing child actors, Ethan Hutchison(right) and Jacob Tremblay(left) do not get the recognition that they deserve. The stranger things cast are great but they're not the only child actors that exist. Can y'all expand your horizons because they're are several kid actors like these two who played some deep, heavy roles that address serious topics, and these boys handled their roles amazingly and are extremely talented.

Ethan is in the drama Queen Sugar that handles heavy and serious topics that feature an all black cast. He plays the character Blue who is the son of Ralph Angel who was recently released from prison, and Darla who is a drug addict. It's a great show with a wonderful storyline, amazing acting and heartfelt performances.

Jacob Tremblay has been in numerous films such Wonder, Room, The Book of Henry and more. My favorite performance by him was in Room, in which he has spent most of his life in one room with his mother. I don't want to give much away but there are some serious topics in this film such as rape and depression and Jacob was fantastic in this film, his chemistry with Brie Larson being absolutely beautiful.

I in no way shape or form am taking away the talent from the Stranger Things kids but it's frustrating to see y'all act like they are the most talented child actors ever when there so many that are just as good or even better. Please give the show and film a watch, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

Side Note: I have also noticed that the stranger things kids y'all mainly hype up are the three white kids, Millie, Noah and Finn. I encourage all of you to be more diverse and to understand that they're not the only ones within the cast that are talented. Gaten who isn't the typical skinny white kid who has cleidocranial dysplasia is often ignored and sidelined, as well as Caleb who happens to be the only black boy in the cast.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I mainly follow this blog because I find it hilarious seeing people get worked up over foolish things, but now y'all are pushing it. To compare a murderous cult who wanted to start a race war to a bunch of fans supporting their faves girlfriend(that's if she is Harry's girlfriend) is absolutely disgusting. Charles Manson was a nazi, a murderer, a manipulator and just overall an evil person, so please pay attention to your comparisons when you make them because you end up sounding insensitive and ignorant.

Scott McCall has been through so much pressure and stress and has faced so much fear and hurt and loss for someone so young. He has feared for his life and the lives of his own friends and he has carried so much guilt and responsibility for everything that has happened.

Because people don't take children seriously, as if their feelings aren't valid and it's fucking disgusting. Children are humans too.

Sexaulization of Children

I honestly don’t know why the statement. “children shouldn’t be sexualized,” has to be regurgitated so many times in order for people to get it through their thick skulls that, CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE SEXUALIZED. Ever since the rise of IT, many people have shown their creepy side, and since the release of Stranger Things 2, it has grown progressively worse. 

I don’t understand how you can look at 13, 14, 14, 16 year olds and think, “Yup, I wanna fuck.” How does that even go through your fucking heads? I’m sorry, but why are you 18+ years old obsessing over children in the first place, sexual or not? You could be innocently stanning these kids, but people have the right to be a bit creeped out by it as you are an adult STANNING a fucking kid. Liking them is okay, but to be completely devoted to them? Yeah, it’s weird. 

I guess I could just sit here and say, “yeah, it’s bad,” but since yall are dense and still can’t understand why it’s bad, let me just break this down for you. 

1. When you make harmful jokes like this:

it perpetuates this idea that thinking about children sexually is okay, which it’s not.I don’t care if you want him to “hit you up in 4 years” when he’s legally an adult, you’re still thinking about this child sexually, which I stated before, is wrong. Our society is already so fucked up, we don’t need to normalize sexualization of children, it’s just gross and it makes you a pedophile. 

2. We’re already gravitating towards this idea that if these children joke about their relationship, that it’s okay to ship them, and I have some news for you, it’s not okay. It’s not okay to ship actual actors in general, but when you do it to children, that’s when you cross the line, especially when you’re trying to force a sexuality onto them.

I’m sure some of y’all recognize this gem, when Jack Grazer, a 14 year old actor, expressed his feelings on people shipping him and Finn, ultimately creating “fack,” many fans twisted his words and attacked him. Some felt as though he was diminishing the fictional ship, Reddie, when he so clearly states that he’s talking about him and Finn, but not only that, people were upset that he would even say something like this.

I’m sorry, but when was it bad for a child to feel uncomfortable with people assuming that he’s gay? When was it bad for a child to feel annoyed that people are shipping him and his close friend and even going as far as writing disgusting, sexual, fanfictions about them? I don’t give a fuck if these two CHILDREN joked about it. They’re kids, they joke about everything and because they’re young and dumb, they’re going to assume that everything they *joke* about is going to be a joke to everyone else. 

No, just…no. If you’ve ever been to middle school or you’re in high school, you should know that boys will joke about anything that comes to their mind, even about a ship.

3. Kids are young and impressionable, they’re easier to manipulate and it worries me that these kids can be taken advantage of, especially when you have headlines like this:

MILLIE ISN’T “SEXY,” SHE’S 13!

There are so many child actors and actresses that are taken advantage of by predatory men in Hollywood, that’s why it’s so dangerous for people to sexualize them. It’s like when you want to grab a cookie from the cookie jar, you don’t want to get in trouble but then you see someone else do it, so now you think you can get a cookie too. Once it becomes a trend, more people think it’s okay, and like I’ve stated before, it’s suddenly normalized. For fucks sake, you already have creeps trying to categorize pedophilia as a sexual orientation.

So in conclusion, STOP sexualizing children, STOP joking about it, and STOP making it seem like it’s okay for others to do it you fucking creeps.

I’m just going to say it. Just because two characters have more scenes than two other characters doesn’t automatically make their ship more valid. MORE SCENES DOES NOT EQUAL A MORE VALID SHIP! It’s all about what’s in the context of those scenes. If two characters have a minimal amount of scenes yet each scene is filled with respect and care, that’s more valid than the two characters who have more scenes together but it’s filled with arguments and lack of development so stop using scene count in your reasoning as to why a ship is better. its annoying
