America is not a young land: it is old and dirty and evil before the settlers, before the Indians. The evil is there waiting.

"When Groucho was asked for an explanation of the title, he quipped, 'Take two turkeys, one goose, four cabbages, but no duck, and mix them together. After one taste, you'll duck soup for the rest of your life.'"

After escaping the Village, Number Six left the spy game behind and opened a mobile tea room and cabaret to mixed reactions on the A20 motorway.

I finally learned how to make GIFs, which is great because it allows me to eloquently illustrate my reaction to ads trying to convince me that Hot Pockets are gourmet food.

Admit it. Before you expanded the image, you read it as "Donald Duck Gets F-'d Up."
And then you did expand the image and saw the donkey before you read the title correctly and completely got the wrong idea.

"Let's see ... Zack Snyder already gave us a head start with dour, desaturated Superman ... we've got Ben Affleck to play barbiturate to our already dour, desaturated Batman ... dammit, there's still too much potential energy in this movie! We've got to dial it down, and fast!"

Two thoughts:
1. Superman is a dick.
2. How the heck does Jimmy Olsen walk on those not-stilts? He's going to get some swollen ankles from that.

Goddammit Jimmy, I had a plan!

If you ever want to sample the KTMA episodes (aka Season Zero) of Mystery Science Theater 3000, "Phase IV" isn't a bad one to start with. The movie (the only feature directed by Saul Bass) is interesting enough to carry through the gaps in the mostly improvised riffing and slow enough so the jokes help when they hit.

The depiction of Dr. Wily here says less "megalomaniacal robot-building mad scientist" and more "Old World existentialist philosopher." I could go for that.

The lesser reviled but still bizarre European cover of Mega Man on the NES. Closer to the actual character, but still a lot of liberties taken. Massive size for this art too!
