It's always "Fuck me" and never "To love and kiss to sweetly hold, for the dancing and the dreaming, through all life's sorrows and delights I'll keep your laugh inside me. I'll swim and sail the savage seas eith ne'er a fear of drowning, and gladly ride the waves of life if you will marry me"

I'm thoroughly convinced every kind of story/book/d&d game/whatever is instantly elevated by having a masquerade ball episode
Like, I don't know wether it is the intrigue of interrupting the normal flow of the story to put the party in a new, more elegant and formal environment or anything else but I literally die for it and it can be used in so many ways
Giving them a much deserved break and let them enjoy the levity of a frivolous dance, maybe with an appropriate outift change and little details to give them more depth? Amazing (unhinged characters that are absolute ass at acting elegant and act super awkward because of it have a special place in my heart)
Making it the next part do their mission, maybe because the antagonist is present, and having the welcoming and refined setting conceal an ever-growing tension and danger? So good
Having an excuse to let some characters dance with each other, that way making them have a more intimate interaction where latent feelings can bloom even more, or on the contrary rivalries become even more pungent? Please please please do
And don't even get me STARTED on the trope of the hero and villain waltzing together as they engage in a verbal swordplay where the advantage of one is symbolized by whoever is leading the dance (bonus points if there's sexual tension®)
In short, more masquerade balls for everyone and thanks for coming to my tedtalk

What people usually think when they think of Italy: Sun, sea, little towns, pasta etc.
What I, an Italian, have literally 20 minutes away from my house:

Behold the gardens of the Reggia di Caserta! (Caserta's Palace)
Royal residence of Italy's governors in the middle 1700's, Its gardens are filled with abundant and various exotic plants, along with classical statues, and as you may have guessed I was basically an amazed child for the whole tour. My internal classical history geek was THRIVING

Heyo fellow nerds!✨
It's that time of the day where I need to rant about my favorite things and this time is my latest d&d's character turn

His name is Immanuel Richter and I don't know what else to say besides the fact that this marksman is my best boy. I've been absolutely DELIGHTED to play him as a squeamish, 19th century upper class librarian whose ego is only rivaled by his total lack of social skills
When in our starting session the tavern ended up being assaulted by specters, and him immediately getting strangled by one while screaming like a little girl and ending up from the grand total of 8 to -1 hp, I knew he was by FAR the most relatable character I've ever played

There was a period in my high school years in which a after-class writing course was held, and multiple classes attended it. It was mainly about coming up with stories and/or writings following certain prompts
It goes without saying that one of said prompts inevitably involved writing a romantic dialogue, and it ALSO goes without saying that I could physically feel the cringiness slithering down my back as a girl read aloud her short story about a shy teenage girl talking with her crush. Not only that, but her diogue involved the use of fricking STUTTERING, which made the whole experience all the more hard to bear
Apart from that, a good chunk of the stories revolved around the Harry Potter universe
Long story short, when the daily prompt was one about writing a character of a literary universe finding themselves in a different one, I knew precisely what I had to do, and proceeded to write a metaphorical "fuck you" to all of those mainstream novels by describing *Sun Wukong* finding himself in Hogwart's dining hall in front of the terrorized students, absolutely devouring everything that was on that table, making chaos ensue by glaring at one of the them, and flying out of a window in the most anticlimactic way possible with zero explanation
Only then I understood the real, raw power that comes from fanfiction

When I was little (around 7-8 years old), me and my family went to a touristic village for Halloween, and once there i read a leaflet on which it said that in the evening there would have been a 🎃"𝑺𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑩𝒂𝒍𝒍"🎃
It goes without saying that my Daydreamer, Fantasy-ass kid self was EUPHORIC to dance a✨𝒇𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒚 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒛✨ in a large hall with ✨𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒚 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒄✨ and other kids dressed with costumes of ghosts and vampires
It ALSO goes without saying that once I inevitably found myself in a cheese puff-smelling room filled with kids dressed with plastic Ghostface masks doing the macarena my trust in the world, for the first time, died a little
