I listened to Achilles, Come Down by Gang of Youths for the first time and it was an experience.
I immediately replayed it six more times, each time staring at the lyrics and listening hard for the orchestra and noting how it changes. At the beginning, the orchestra is so menacing, then gains a light, hopeful sound at the chorus and only at the chorus, then at the closing chorus that hopeful sound completely takes over and has a peaceful, victorious quality as the closing line is said—"Ah, it's more courageous to overcome."
Reading the translation of the French parts was another kicker. They are extracts from Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus and translated by Justin O'Brien, and they add so much to the song's overall theme about suicide in a life with questionable meaning. The theme of this song is seriously so well-delivered, I don't understand how it didn't take David Le'aupepe 5 years to put it all together.
I was moved, impressed, obsessed, and motivated to understand just how the hell the lyrics rhyme so cleanly while using big words and long lines. I wrote down the verses and colour coded them so that each rhyming line had the same colour. And I put the three different pre-choruses one after the other like a poem because, again, I wanted to understand how it all rhymes so well and how each new pre-chorus calls back to the previous one.

If you'd like a version without the colour-coding:

Anyway, TL;DR this song is incredible and Gang of Youths are so talented and if I ever manage to create a song like this I will have peaked and immediately die of talent.

the woman with twin children (ulcer and cancer)
you should worry when it's Painless. Pain will tug, tug, tug on your pantleg "Turn your head, look at me." insistent in her abuse. attention seeking. harmless child.
but Painless will hide. scheme. insidious in her approach. one day, you will notice on accident the gaping wound in your chest and wonder how you never saw her coming. growing so tall, she can reach past your hips to your chest.
