A Minor Change of Plans

My main blog, dorkilybeautiful is about to become dorkaelskunkworks, where I’ll continue blogging about art and writing.  I’ll be turning this blog into a redirect to that url in a few days, so please follow over there if you aren’t already.  

That means I’ll still be here, but my primary social and fandom home is migrating to Dreamwidth (dorkael/dorkilysoulless).

Expect this to begin today, with full implementation (hopefully) by the end of the week.

I love your art, but are you sure you're actually drawing these? I just find it hard to believe that someone who makes such beautiful art with such an evolved style is such a mess of a person. If I went by just your blogging, which comes across as immature and over emotional, I would never guess you'd have this talent. It just seems suspicious to me.

Hey, I’ve been super quiet lately -- high retail season’s eaten a lot of what is usually downtime/creative time -- but I’ve got a new project coming up probably around the new year that I wanted to talk about and share. 

(I’m still figuring out how to caption videos, but here’s the gist: I’m going to start making videos about things that inspire me, and talk about what they’ve taught me about making art, writing, being creative, etc.)

So hey, I’m still Bad At Tumblr(TM).  This may persist for a few weeks; the sustaining gig is in full seasonal disruption mode -- my next day away from it is the Saturday after Thanksgiving -- which means I’m mostly just glancing at my dash in dribs and drabs every couple of days.  

Please ping me directly if you want me to see a thing, or want me to ring in on a thing.  

(Actually, that’s good advice in general!  I’m friendly!  I like attention, especially if I know what interactions people want!)

So I don’t have a lot to say on the topic of being a woman in art and dealing with the constant blowback -- I’m a dude -- but you really should be following @eliciaforever and @deadgodjess if you aren’t already.  Not just because their work is good (it’s fucking fantastic), but because when they talk, it is usually a good time to sit the fuck down and listen.
