A short while ago I received less-than stellar remarks that questioned my skills...... And then it happened again.. and then again to friends and skilled makers that I know. And again. And again. I was getting increasingly upset and angry about this, but instead of shouting my frustrations and anger from the rooftops, my friends and I channeled that energy into something positive: @sheprop. We wanted to have a safe space for female and non-binary makers to share their works, ask questions and help others create without fear of being laughed at or bullied for asking questions or posting our work. . I look up to these women who are some of the MOST TALENTED HUMANS I KNOW. I admire their work, their spirit and their willingness to share their knowledge with anyone that is interested. These women empower others to become the best they can be, and I try to emulate that every day. Ladies, thank you for being part of the inspiration from which @SheProp was born. . Every time I see @ohnoitsrick as Yondu I get hit with all the feels 💙. I love this character, and when Rick asked me to make the fin, I jumped on the task. His costume was meticulously handmade, right down to the texture of the fabrics. It is such a work or art.
