“I have survived. I am here. Confused, screwed up, but here. So, how can I find my way? Is there a chain saw of the soul, an ax I can take to my memories or fears?” ~ Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson

“You spend your whole life stuck in the labyrinth, thinking about how you’ll escape one day, and how awesome it will be, and imagining that future keeps you going, but you never do it. You just use the future to escape the present.” ~ Looking for Alaska by John Green

“The drift into authoritarianism doesn’t always set off alarm bells. Citizens are often slow to realize that their democracy is being dismantled even as it happens before their eyes.” ~ How Democracies Die by Steven Levitsky & Daniel Zibaltt
Gosh, after reading this book and you still can’t see the red flags of what we’re dealing with the current administration, then I don’t know what’s wrong with your comprehension. The authors give great examples of history that illustrate play by play with what’s going on. Sighhhhhh

Another night I lie in sleepless ache,
Your absence more than I can take.
My muscles clench beneath the strain,
A body echoing silent pain

Today we guard a caterpillar, small and shy, from eager hands and wondering eye— a tiny life, a crawling thread, that one day wears the sky instead. Though Earth is vast, and cries are deep, it’s in the little things we keep— a leaf, a worm, a single tree, a moment spared for what might be. So hush, young hands, and let it be, this speck of life, so wild and free. To save the Earth, we start with grace— a caterpillar, a safe place. 🌏🌳💚

I sit where waves kiss the sand, a weary heart held in my hand. The ocean sighs, both wild and wide, as if it feels the ache inside. Its rhythm rocks my silent pain. I whisper a prayer for inner peace. I cast my sorrow to the sea, and beg it, gently, to set me free— to mend my broken heart.

“It’s kinda like how we have to do with ourselves. Get rid of the things that don’t do us any good. If it won’t help the rose grow, you’ve gotta let it go.” ~ Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas

Piénsanos bailando entrelazando nuestros cuerpos desnudos como dos mechas que se queman formando una, de bajo de la luz de la luna, mientras crece como si estuviera embarazada de alegría al ver nuestras almas convertirse en una

“The silence depressed me. It wasn’t the silence of silence. It was my own silence.” ~ the Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
As I finished reading this book I realized the desire to end one’s own life doesn’t really go away after the first or second attempt, rather it’s postponed. Eventually, you’ll succeed.
