What if Soul Gems were the inspiration of Horcruxes, that wizards from the past try to replicate for some reason.

I can imagine that an early dark wizard wanted immortality and saw the advantages of a Soul Gem. Namely, a Soul Gem allows the user to survive lethal injuries, and can theoretically let someone live forever should it not run out of magic. Using that as a base, they would try to find a way to create a similar item that wouldn't put a time limit on their lives.

The problem with Soul Gems is that a Soul Gem is an person's entire soul, so if they don't have their Soul Gem, their body will "die" until the connection between the two is reestablished. So, instead, they would only separate a part of a person's soul from their body, so that soul piece would be able to keep that person alive.

However, tearing off a piece of their soul would take more magic than simply ripping it all out, and wizards already don't have enough power to do the latter. They need more magic to pull that off... and what greater source of energy is there than a person's life. Hence why a murder is needed to create a Horcrux.

This, however, had criteria and side effects that the first Horcrux maker would've never anticipated.

First, the kill itself requires complete willingness and no remorse to split the soul. After all, how can one damage their own soul without losing their humanity?

Second, the torn-off piece, while connected to the original soul, becomes separate, and and can develop its own identity. If that piece were to do so and gain its own body, what if it decides it disagrees with the original?

Lastly, damaging a soul has much more severe consequences. Why would it not, when a soul is so fundamental to one's being? Along with the loss of one's humanity, it may also take their sanity or mind, especially should more be created.

The creation of a Horcrux can be reversed only if the creator feels true remorse for their actions, but that rarely occurs. Why would a being who lost their humanity feel remorse? If such a miraculous event would occur, few survive the reunion. After all, can a damaged soul withstand the weight of regret, the very thing that fixes it?

Really, the only way a Horcrux is better than a Soul Gem is that a Horcrux does not require magic for its continued survival, as a wizard's soul and magic are distinct. But is that worth an eternal broken existence where you are no longer a human, let alone yourself?

Fresh PreCure x The Giver Crossover: The Team (Part 1)

The name of the new team is Vary Fresh PreCure. "Vary" means to differ, referencing how this team is different from the original Fresh PreCure, and it's also a pun on "very fresh. They share most of their style with the Fresh PreCures.

Their clover's colors differ from the Fresh PreCures'. The top leaf is purple, the left leaf is orange, the right leaf is green, and the bottom leaf is rainbow (the stripes from top to bottom are pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white). The star in the middle is light yellow.

The following is a list of their aliases, identities, theme colors, corresponding Pickruns, transformation introductions, starting finishers, and PreCure origins.

Cure Currant (Jonas) Color: Purple Pickrun: Murun, the Purple Key of Wisdom Introduction: "The purple heart is the symbol of wisdom! Freshly cultivated, Cure Currant!" Japanese (I tried): "パープルのハートは知恵のしるし！栽培たてフレッシュ、キュアカラント！" Romanization: "Pāpuru no hāto wa chie no shirushi! Saibaitate furesshu, Kyua Karanto!" Attack: Piercing Insight ("ピアシングインサイト," read as "Piashingu Insaito") After performing the incantation, Currant forms a triangle with his hands, releasing a purple stream of light at the enemy. Origin: Became a Precure after the Ceremony of Twelve, when the strange person and monster appeared. In the chaos to get away, Jonas carried a male Four who had passed out from shock and hid somewhere. He then saw the monster target his family, and his desire to save them gained Murun's attention.

Cure Apricot (Asher) Color: Orange Pickrun: Orun, the Orange Key of Friendship Introduction: "The orange heart is the symbol of friendship! Freshly grown, Cure Apricot!" Japanese (I tried): "オレンジのハートは友情のしるし！育たてフレッシュ、キュアアプリコット！" Romanization: "Orenji no hāto wa yūjō no shirushi! Sodatate furesshu, Kyua Apurikotto!" Attack: Unity Embrace ("ユニティエンブレース," read as "Yuniti Enburēsu") After perfoming the incantation, Apricot forms a circle with his hands, releasing an orange stream of light at the enemy. Origin: The day after Jonas became a PreCure, another attack happened when school ended. Jonas was hiding with Asher and, with no other choice, transformed in front of him to go fight. Asher's desire to help Jonas gained Orun's attention.

Cure Kiwi (Fiona) Color: Green Pickrun: Gurun, the Green Key of Kindness Introduction: "The green heart is the symbol of kindness! Freshly flourishing, Cure Kiwi!" Japanese (I tried): "グリーンのハートは親切のしるし！繁たてフレッシュ、キュアキウイ！" Romanization: "Gurīn no hāto wa shinsetsu no shirushi! Shigetate furesshu, Kyua Kiui!" Attack: Kindness Dazzle ("カインドネスダズル," read as "Kaindonesu Dazuru") After perfoming the incantation, Kiwi forms a rectangle with her hands, releasing a green stream of light at the enemy. Origin: The day after Asher became a PreCure, a monster appeared on the way to the House of the Old. Jonas transformed in front of Fiona, and soon Asher, as Apricot, came to help him. The two were struggling, and Fiona's desire to help gained Gurun's attention.

Cure Grape (female Twelve of unknown identity) Color: Rainbow (main), white (sub) Pickrun: Nijirun, the Rainbow Key of Dreams Introduction: "The rainbow heart is the proof of dreams! Freshly planted, Cure Grape!" Japanese (I tried): "虹のハートは夢の証！植たてフレッシュ、キュアグレープ！" Romanization: "Niji no hāto wa yume no akashi! Uetate furesshu, Kyua Gurēpu!" Origin: Some time after the monster attacks began, Cure Grape appeared to help the team. She doesn't talk much, and only comes to the team's aid when they're in big trouble.

When all of the Cures were chosen by their respective Pickruns, they all immediately gained the Capacity to See Beyond and were able to recognize colors. It was very shocking for them at first. The Pickruns communicate with them via telepathy when they're inside their Linkruns, which is how they know to keep the PreCure a secret.

Making Disney Princesses PreCures

Specifically, I'm just selecting the ones who appear in Ralph Breaks the Internet, not counting Vanellope, and I'm only going to give them names, colors, and items. Let me know if you guys want me to do others.

Anna: Cure Glede. Her transformation item is a Princess Perfume. She transforms using the Fireworks Dress-Up Key.

Elsa: Cure Fryse. Her transformation item is a Princess Perfume. She transforms using the Ice Dress-Up Key.

Tiana: Cure Gourmet. Her color is green, and her transformation partner is a frog-like Energy Fairy named Sop-Sop. During her transformation, Sop-Sop's transformation form is a bowl of gumbo. She uses a Heart Cure Watch. (Delicious Party)

Merida: Cure Saighead. Her color is green, and her transformation item is a PreChanMirror. Her weapon is the DunBroch Bow, unique to her. (Happiness Charge)

Belle: Cure Savante. Her color is yellow, and her transformation item is a PreHeart. Her Mirai Crystal has a book theme.

Cinderella: Cure Reverie. Her color is silver with light blue. Her transformation item is called the Linkle Brooch, which is similar to Mofurun's bow except it's gold and is a brooch (my idea). Her primary form is Dia Style using the Linkle Diamond, and her transformation phrase is "Reverie ・ Real ・ Jewelryle!" (Mahoutsukai)

Aurora: Cure Briar. Her color is pink, and her transformation item is a CureMo. (Yes! 5 GoGo)

Snow White: Cure Fair. Her color is red, and her transformation item is a Smile Pact. Her Cure Decor is shaped like an oval. (Smile)

Mulan: Cure Daoren. Her transformation item is a Sky Mirage. Her Sky Tone's shape resembles a Chinese dragon in an ouroboros position. (Hirogaru Sky)

Moana: Cure Voyage. Her color is orange, and her transformation item is a Tropical Pact. Her Heart Kuru Ring is circular, and the gem is white. (Tropical Rouge)

Ariel: Cure Atlantic. Her color is green, and her transformation item is a Mermaid Aqua Pact. Her Heart Kuru Ring is shaped like a shell, and the gem is red. (Tropical Rouge)

Pocahontas: Cure Powhatan. Her color is yellow, and her transformation item is a Mix Commune. Her spirit partner is a wind spirit named Rowhsunnvwh (if my research is correct, it means "little wind" in Powhatan). Unlike the canon Cures, she can transform on her own using the phrase, "Pretty Cure! Spiritual Power!" (Splash Star)

Rapunzel: Cure Vivace. Her color is purple, and her transformation item is a Cure Module. Her Fairy Tones are named C and G. C is lavender, while G is yellow. Her weapon is called the Sundrop Microphone, and the Fairy Tones enter at the top.

Jasmine: Cure Aleitr (written as "العطر", intended meaning is "fragrance" in Arabic). Her color is teal, and her transformation item is a Heart Perfume. (Heartcatch)

My personal thoughts (just my opinion, please don't take offense):

Mulan: No complaints on the style, but I would've based on the color palette on her blue outfit from the end of the movie (the one that appears in Ralph Breaks the Internet).

Jasmine: Not much to say for her. I do think Earth was the best choice for her, though.

Alice: Works really well, and I like how it's done without needing to use an apron.

Pocahontas: I feel like the skirt should be more like Bloom's than Egret's but other than that, I have no complaints.

Moana: I like how unique Moana's outfit is. I can tell she's a Tropical Rouge Cure, but her design isn't like any of the other Cures. I can see a bit of inspiration from both Flamingo and La Mer, but otherwise, it's like she's could be a member of the team all on her own.

I wanted to see all the princesses from the Precure/Pretty Cure season I felt they would best fit in. Didn’t want to go too into it because I have other projects in the works, so I admit these are just traces with some edits here and there to fit them. Color was picked from their official art.

My personal thoughts (just my opinion, please don't take offense):

Merida: I like the combination of Milky Rose's hair and the Yes! 5 GoGo uniform. Not much else to say.

Tiana: I feel like basing her off of Macaron instead of Whip would be a better choice for her character.

Elsa and Anna: My favorite from this batch, because I love Happiness Charge's style.

Rapunzel: It fits her. Not much else to say.

Elena: I like the creativity in using the Sapphire form instead of the normal ones.

I love this idea! My personal thoughts (just my opinion, please don't take offense):

Snow White: Fresh is my favorite season, so this one is automatically my favorite from this batch. Basing her off of Pine was such a good idea.

Cinderella: I love her sleeves, and the Smile aesthetic fits her well.

Aurora: Basing her off of Cure Flora is a bit too on the nose in my opinion, but her design is cute and the others aren't really good options for her, so I give it a pass.

Belle: The hair is fine, but I feel like it would've been better if her outfit was based on Moonlight's instead of Blossom's.

Ariel: Suite's art style makes her look too mature for her character in my opinion, but she looks good. My only addition would be to give her a back ribbon similar to Beat's, if not Mermaid's from Go! Princess, to reference a mermaid's tail.

EXTRA: Happiness Charge PreCure x Harry Potter Crossover Ideas

I got more ideas for HapCha x HP, buckle in. (Link to original post is at the bottom)

So in my original post, I talked about the wizarding world being so out of touch with the muggle world that they don't start fighting against the Phantom Empire until the empire finds them by mistake. Now I've got the idea of if the wizarding world was also fighting against the Phantom Empire from the start as well, but didn't know that muggles could also become PreCure until a while later. PreCure from both worlds gradually create unity due to fighting the same enemy.

Some ideas/elaborations I had for differences in power between muggle and wizard PreCure:

Though most muggles use LovePreBraces, they have more diversity in their weapon choice and can summon additional weapons using their LovePreBraces. Meanwhile, for wizards, their wands transform along with them.

Due to their lack of magic, muggles have more of their power invested in physical strength, combat skills, and agility, and since they have no frame of reference of the limits of their abilities, it's easy for them to come up with special moves, sub-attacks, finishers, and other skills and abilities. Many of the first muggle PreCure were inspired by their favorite superheroes, magical girls, fantasy warriors, etc., before everyone realized that anything goes as long as they imagine it hard enough.

Wizards fight by using their enhanced wands to strengthen their natural magic. However, most wizards only have wizarding duels to base their combat strategies off of. They still have enhanced strength, combat skills, and agility, though not as good as muggles since part of their power is invested in their enhanced magic, but most don't know what to do with it. They don't think about throwing kicks or punches or blocking attacks without shield spells, and their dodging is limited to ducking and jumping out of the way of an attack to the area that looks the least threatening. Most of their attacks are enhanced spells, which are fine on Choiarks, but against Saiarks, they need to weaken them a lot more than muggles do before going for the finisher.

When wizard and muggle PreCures started interacting, the wizards were shocked with how aggressive the muggles' fighting styles are and how easily they seem to purify Saiarks. They learn from the muggles to create personalized attacks and spells for themselves, and some even learn to turn their wands into other kinds of weapons.

Other lore/worldbuilding bits:

When the Phantom Empire first appeared and PreCure began being chosen, blood purists immediately spun it as a way that wizards were superior to muggles. It only caught on in those social circles, but the wizarding world seemed to think that this was a wizard-only thing. It wasn't until students went home for holidays that they realized that there were muggle PreCures as well, though blood purists tried to deny this as muggle propaganda. It wasn't until a muggle PreCure duo effortlessly defeated a Saiark that a wizard PreCure team of four struggled to even fend off that any blood purist sentiments about the PreCure dissolved.

A few blood purists attempted to make themselves PreCure by stealing PreChanMirrors. This resulted in a security function in the mirrors triggering, putting them through intense pain before knocking them out. While the pain was nowhere near the level of the Cruciatus, it was enough to deter any further attempts.

The power of PreChanMirrors make their owners immune to the Killing Curse and greatly reduces the effect of the other Unforgivables and even certain powerful dark spells and potions, like the Emerald Potion/Drink of Despair. They also make their owners unable to cast those spells and brew those potions. PreCure also couldn't be branded with the Dark Mark.

In the wizarding world, the fame of a PreCure is mostly in their local area. Thus, it's a shock that in the muggle world, a PreCure can have international fame and fans.

Some story ideas (incomplete, but feel free to take them):

Marauders Era 1: Snape became a PreCure during the summer before his 3rd year. At first, he rejects the calling, still wanting to pursue power in hopes of impressing Lily, but his experiences as a Cure leads him to realize that Lily doesn't care if he's powerful, just that he'll stay by her side and fight for what's right. While it's difficult being the outcast of Slytherin, he sticks with Lily. Lily becomes a PreCure some time later, and the two become a duo and become friends with other PreCure across the country, both wizard and muggle.

Marauders Era 2: Petunia is one of the first PreCure in England. Her time as a PreCure mellows out her hatred of magic. Still, she struggles with her parents neglecting her accomplishments in favor of Lily's, though she eventually manages to talk things over with her family. She's even nicer to Snape, and helps him escape his abusive home. Lily and Snape become PreCure some time later, and she mentors them, along with Cure Continental.

Golden Trio Era: Harry becomes a PreCure sometime when he's 10. Petunia doesn't like PreCure because magic, Vernon is neutral towards them because them being heroes balances out their magic for him, and Dudley is a secret PreCure fanboy but is shy because he thinks people will laugh at him for liking "girly" things. Harry reveals his identity as a PreCure to the wizarding world when he saved Hermione from the troll, and now he has to deal with that along with his reputation as the Boy Who Lived. At least, he has the other PreCure attending Hogwarts to help him.
