6 days left to start summer break! Btw, my photography professor congratulated me for some portraits of wild animals that I took, and to be completely honest with you, I'm quite proud of it 😳. When someone recognizes your work it really boosts your morale. Had to crop them to fit the insta ratio, but you can find them here: @edurnelorente_

Do people with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design usually get a masters next? I’m graduating in January and I don't know if I should start looking for a master's program… (to study specifically what? You might ask. I have no idea).

I actually do feel like the "unemployed friend on a Tuesday" meme actually helps de-stigmatize unemployment because it frequently affirms that when you don't have a job you're more likely to be getting up to some weird shit rather than just lazing around. But I also feel like the unemployed friend is frequently up to some random shit because there's a whole pile of miscellaneous life tasks that full-time employment keeps people from. The unemployed friend is helping their cousin move, or babysitting, or checking in with a neighbor with mobility issues. The unemployed friend is a walking thesis on the inflexibility of our current labor landscape and just how much work exists outside of work.

Friday, May 30th
I can't believe that it's almost June, istg as you grow older, time goes by faster TT
Anyway, with 9 final projects left to end this semester and finally start my summer holidays, it's time to lock in. I'll try to post at least once or twice every week with updates and random stuff I need to keep myself accountable for :)
Some of the things I have to do this weekend are:
– Finish one of the projects for my photography class (this will probably take me the whole weekend)
– Start planning my P3 and CVNM projects
– Run at least 10km and do 1 lower body workout
– Finish reading "El club dumas" by Arturo Pérez-Reverte (this is the book on which the movie “The Ninth Gate” is based)
Btw, every pic you see in this blog is mine so pls don't reuse it w/o giving credit (u can also follow me on ig @edurnelorente_ ⋆˙⟡)

“Read books. Go to museums. Watch documentaries. Educate yourself. You don’t need to go to an ivy league school to be cultured. You don’t need money to understand how the world works. You just need to put yourself first, and grab all the opportunities that comes your way.”

"Changing" means that nothing new will happen until you destroy the person you've been.
I read this sentence in a manga I'm a big fan of, and maybe they've exaggerated it a bit with the "destroy" part, but I think the point they want to make is understood anyway, so I'll leave it here, as a reminder that If I want something to change, that change has to start with me.

Quiet days visiting museums, buying new books and updating my portfolio now that I’m on summer break. ☕️

Obviously I will never be a uni prof but I do admit being able to respond with "ya sure" after years of being on the "my most esteemed professor, your highness, the greatest scientist in the history of this faculty, may I, a lowly worm, please kindly ask to reschedule" end sounds tempting

Do you use a filter on your photos? If so can you tell me what or using what app?
hii :)
I don't use a filter / preset, but I always edit my photos in Adobe Lightroom. Depending on the original photo, I change the exposure, contrast, saturation, colors, etc, in one way or another.

Me: *Why am I eating every 5 min and feel like my heart is going to explode?*
Also me: leaving all my assignments for the last day when I had one month to do them, just for the thrill of it .

“Always remember that to argue, and win, is to break down the reality of the person you are arguing against. It is painful to lose your reality, so be kind, even if you are right.”
