Context: After finding out he's a vampire (and subsequently dying of blood loss), Dia and Astarion ponder what to do if signs of ceremorphosis begin showing

I think that this conversation isn't supposed to trigger after the vampirism reveal but it happened in one playthrough.

Although Astarion has singled out Dia as his protector in the party (due to being the most naive), he doesn't find her very interesting until this bit of banter they have. He's starting to have a little fun with his plan, while Dia is trying to avoid acknowledging a different death sentence the tadpole helped put a pause to.

The last panel is Dia suddenly having a slightly different recollection on how that night really went, thanks to Astarion's questioning and lack of blood flow to the brain at the time.

Not the bad ending, but the sad one.

Dark Urge failing to resist her evil father is probably the saddest ending to me, because she did everything she was supposed to do, but ending up in his grasp anyway. I think Gale would try to save her, but even he can’t tread on the Blood Lords territory.

With this tragic ending, Visera goes to Avernus with Karlach and Wyll, hoping that slaughtering hoards of imps and cambions will help her ignore her grief. When they return for the party, she gets this note and realizes that pain demands to be felt. Grief is a gift— a reminder that Gale taught this Bhaalspawn how to love.

I had this headcanon for a while of the final fight. Visera is determined to be there with him no matter what, and Gale— despite her belief in their ability to defeat the Netherbrain— sets up the first door of an arcane gate spell back on the surface before they ascend.

Totally unrelated to what I normally post, but TikTok has actually gone dark...I mean I never really posted that much, but I really enjoyed interacting with others in the comments. That alone gave me such a sense of community. And all the edits for ANYTHING I was obsessed with? Astarion edits on TikTok were what introduced me to BG3.
